Drake Just Bought This Insane Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet

Drake Just Bought This Insane Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet
Drake just bought an insane Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet, one of just 99 models to be produced.

Given the last model on the market fetched $1.4 million at auction in 2017, we can assume Drake dropped some series stacks on the purchase, especially after his auto guru Tony Bet wrote on Instagram, "Price tag: $$$$$$$."

The G 650 Landaulet is a convertible version of the G-Wagen, decked out with multiple luxurious features. It's 22.75 inches longer, leaving space in the rear for calf leather captain's seats containing heated massagers. The glass partition between driver and passenger can be made opaque at the press of a button, and, of course, the car is fitted with top-notch screens and stereo systems. Even the cupholders are extra, able to warm or chill drinks.

The G 650 Landaulet is more than a luxe interior, though. It contains an AMG twin-turbo V12 engine, which provides 630 horsepower. Portal axels and 17.7 inches of clearance with three locking differentials mean the car can be taken pretty much anywhere.

Ed Sheeran marries fiancée of n secret wedding. The singer's fiancée, Cherry Seaborn walked the aisle with him in a low-key ceremony with just 40 guests.

"There were only 40 people — so no Taylor Swift, record company executives or any royals or pop star pals. He wanted no fuss, and he wanted it to be something entirely for them — just a tiny, winter wedding.

Full version of article
"It's amazing that he's the biggest pop star in the world, but he was just able to quietly slide off and wed.

"Neither of them were that fussed about making a big deal about it. Cherry just wanted to get it out of the way without any problems or intrusions."

Ed, 28, and hockey player Cherry, 26, who previously starred in England's under-21 team, are planning a wedding party in the summer for their famous pals and work friends who did not know about the wedding.

The source added: "Ed and Cherry are planning a festival-style party for a wider list to happen at the end of the summer.

"That will be all singing and dancing, and they'll be able to invite Taylor and their record company colleagues and royal friends."

Ed had been wearing an engagement ring made by Cherry out of silver clay since popping the question in December 2017 to avoid anyone knowing when he was hitched.

Telecom Egypt, Nokia working on IoT rollout in Egypt

Posted: 28 Feb 2019 02:26 PM PST

Nokia
In advance of Mobile World Congress, Nokia launched off-the-shelf Internet of Things (IoT) packages to help operators win new business in vertical IoT markets. In addition to enabling operators to achieve a fast time to market, the packages simplify the set-up and operations of enterprise IoT services.

Built on the Nokia Worldwide IoT Network Grid (WING) infrastructure that provides the necessary global IoT connectivity and services support, the applications include IoT sensors, user applications and business models suited to specific sectors. Nokia WING's managed service approach also offers a pay-as-you-grow business model, giving operators the flexibility to quickly scale up IoT services as required.

The new market-ready solutions for WING eliminate the challenges facing operators developing their own IoT services. These include the need for specialized expertise, the complexities of combining fragmented IoT connectivity infrastructure and the risk and effort of setting up and working with multiple service providers globally. Nokia works with best-in-class partners on Nokia WING vertical applications portfolio and continues to develop the IoT ecosystem.

The four new solutions announced today by Nokia include:

Smart Agriculture as-a-Service: Sensors capture environmental, soil and crop data that is then analyzed to provide insights that help farmers manage crops more effectively, potentially saving costs on irrigation, pesticides and fertilizers.
Livestock Management as-a-Service: Tracking devices and biosensors monitor animal health and welfare to provide ranchers with early alerts if abnormalities are detected, protecting valuable livestock and improving yields.
Logistics as-a-Service: IoT sensors enable tracking of the global movement and condition of goods through the complete supply chain to help enterprises instantly identify incidents and even predict future events to optimize delivery and logistics process efficiency.
Asset Management as-a-Service: Connecting products anywhere in the world enables their status and performance to be monitored centrally, helping enterprises provide a better service to their business and consumer customers.
Nokia is trialling Agriculture as-a-Service with an African operator and working with leading services and consulting firm on Asset Management-as-a-Service to help them offer more advanced services.

"Nokia addresses a wide spectrum of challenges through its WING IoT infrastructure-as-a-service so its early traction with customers isn't a surprise," said Brian Partridge, Vice President, 451 Research. "Most telecom operators desire a more prominent role in the IoT value chain that builds upon secure and reliable domestic or global connectivity."

"Nokia's announced plans to offer end-to-end vertical applications on top of the WING global infrastructure is a logical next step. We believe that this approach benefits Nokia's WING telecom customers and the enterprises they serve in addition to vertical application partners who can benefit from WING's market scale and go-to market channels."

"The IoT is a growing opportunity for operators to win new enterprise customers and significant additional revenue in a diverse range of vertical markets. With minimal upfront investment, an operator can now quickly get a service to market and generate IoT revenues," said Ankur Bhan, Global Head of WING Business at Nokia.

"We expect these vertical solutions to encourage more operators to connect to Nokia WING, expanding its global footprint and broadening the range of capabilities and services that will become available. We already have several more vertically-focused as-a-Service packages in the development pipeline."

SouthAfircan winners of the Global LegalHackathon 2019 announced

Posted: 28 Feb 2019 09:33 AM PST

Naidoo  Kagiso
The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL) and global law firm, Baker McKenzie have announced the winners of the South African leg of Global Legal Hackathon 2019 (GLH2019).

Over the course of the weekend, 22-24 February, teams in 46 cities in 24 countries around the world took part in the world's largest legal hackathon. More than 6,000 participants came together to address issues relating to access to justice and the business of law.

Eight teams took part in the South African event, which took place at Baker McKenzie's Johannesburg office in Sandhurst.

"The work that the teams showed us on Sunday evening was by far the most consistently impressive that I've ever seen at an event of this kind," said HiiL's Adam Oxford, "It's exciting to see so many well-developed ideas emerging so fast."

The top winners of the South African event were:

First: Kagiso

An online mediation platform that provides a cost-effective and fast alternative to lengthy court processes for civil disputes. Kagiso uses machine learning to match cases with professional mediators who have the most relevant skill sets to be effective – such as subject matter experience or knowledge of local languages – and stores records using blockchain technology.

Second: Bua

Bua is a voice-recognition system that allows victims of crime to record their own statements in their own language in a private "safe space" such as a kiosk or on their own phone. The majority of crimes in South Africa's go unreported or prosecutions fail, and a leading reason is that victims don't feel comfortable giving statements in open police stations, and statements are often badly or wilfully mistranslated.

Third: O Kae Molao

O Kae Molao is a local language TV show which speaks directly to poor communities around South Africa and offers legal advice and help with issues. The interactive element of the show will feature an SMS helpline where viewers can request help from pro bono lawyers associated with the show.

The winners of the event, Kagiso, will progress to the second round of the contest, in which a panel of international judges will decide who attends a grand final in New York.

"We were extremely impressed with the variety of innovative ideas presented at the Hackathon and we are sure Kagiso's ideas will impress the judges in the next round.

"There is no doubt that the ways in which law firms deliver their services are changing and law firms are becoming increasingly innovative as they adapt to client needs. The rapid advancements in tools, technology and ways of working, constitute a huge opportunity for law firms to change their service delivery models in innovative ways. Events such as the Hackathon are the perfect breeding ground for these new ideas, and it was exciting to witness some of the innovative solutions that will change the future of law," says Darryl Bernstein, Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution Practice at Baker McKenzie in Johannesburg.

Additional prizes consisting of a ticket to the Legal Innovation and Tech Fest, which takes place in Sandton in June, and a place on the Futures Law Faculty Legal Tech Short Course, were presented to the top two teams from South Africa by tax consultancy AJM and legal outsourcing specialist Exigent.

All the participants are encouraged to enter HiiL's international Innovating Justice Challenge, which will open for applications later this year.

Look at this Massive Phone

Posted: 28 Feb 2019 09:27 AM PST

Energizer
Energizer (yes, the battery brand) has made a phone.

The company unveiled the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop at Mobile World Congress (MWC2019) this week, a phone with an 18,000mAh battery. It's not Energizer's first phone, but it has already made a name for itself as the phone with the biggest battery in the world.

This dark blue monstrosity is 18mm thick, almost as thick as 3.5 iPhones, and was designed to last a "very long time". It's not just thick though, It has been described as remarkably heavy for a phone. Testers at MWC2019 took note of its heft, obviously attributed to the massive battery, a massive battery that guarantees 48 hours of power between charges. That's on continuous video playback, so it will probably last a lot longer when not being pushed to its limits.

Apart from its size, the Power Max P18K Pop is actually pretty standard in terms of smartphone specs. It has a 6.2-inch LCD display, a USB-C port on the bottom, a pop-up module with two selfie cameras in the front, and three more cameras on the back. It also has 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and runs on Android Pie. The novelty of its size might actually be the only thing in its way of becoming a popular smartphone choice.
The Energizer Power Max P18K Pop will be officially released later this year. Estimates put it around June – August.

Dickson visits family of PDP leader killed in electoral violence

Posted: 28 Feb 2019 09:09 AM PST

Seriake Dickson
Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, on Thursday visited the family of the late Seidougha Taridi, leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who was killed by gunmen in army uniforms during the last elections to condole with the family.

Dickson's Special Adviser on Media Relations, Fidelis Soriwei, in a statement said the governor was accompanied in the visit by top officials of the Bayelsa State Government and the leaders of the Bayelsa State Council in the visit.

In the entourage of the Governor were the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Kombowei Benson; PDP State Chairman, Moses Cleopas; winner of Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma Federal Constituency Prof Steve Azaiki and winner of Bayelsa Central Senatorial District, Douye Diri.

Also on the entourage were Commissioner for Agriculture Doodei Week and Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Affairs Chief Douye Douglas-Naingba, among others.

Dickson said that the state government, the PDP and the state were saddened by the gruesome murder of the PDP Ward Leader in the community by men in Army uniform feared to be soldiers.

He described Taridi's death as shocking and painful saying it was a needless case of cold-blooded murder of an innocent man, who was not involved in any incident near a polling unit but was killed in his own house in his toilet by soldiers.

He said that Taridi's killing was not just cold-blooded but also a collective assault on the Bayelsa and her people.

He stressed the late Taridi was in his house when soldiers were invited to gun him down and a Government House Photographer, Reginald Dei, who survived the attack.

He assured the grieving family of the determination of the government to ensure that those who perpetrated the heinous acts were brought to justice.

The governor said that his administration inaugurated a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to formally investigate and document the violence that rocked the elections in parts of Bayelsa for posterity.

He said: "We grieve with all of you and the entire Oweikorogha community, the party and the entire state grieves with you because this gruesome cold blooded murder shouldn't have happened.

"There was no need for it. He was not fighting with anybody, he was not armed in any way, was never near even a polling station, he was not by way near electoral materials.

"He was in his own house, in his parlour and people came, they were invited, soldiers were invited to gun him down in the privacy of his own home.

"This is not just a gruesome act of terminating the live of a promising young man, it is a collective assault on our state and that is why I have led this delegation to personally come to condole with you, his father, wife, children, brother and sisters and all other members of the Taribi family.
"And we again state our resolve to bring the perpetrators of this gruesome murder, cold blooded murder to book in any way we can. I want to thank you all for your courage."

Also speaking, family Spokesman, Mr, Temple Igunikeke, gave a detailed account of how the Taridi and the Government House Photographer were shot inside the house.

According to him, two men whose identities he gave as Ogili and Thankgod, led the men in army uniform to Taridi's residence where the deceased was resting to carry out the cold-blooded murder.

Igunikeke, who spoke in the presence of the father and widow of the deceased, said Taridi and Dei were resting in the house after voting to await the outcome of the election when the two men led the assailants to the residence to shoot them.

He called on the government and the relevant agencies to investigate the gruesome killing of Taridi and the shooting of Dei, to ensure that those involved in the murder are brought to justice.

He said: "I wish to inform you that in which ever form they try to style the way they killed my nephew only one thing counts, the truth.

"We had finished elections and we were counting and there was no single event anywhere and as the leader that led us, he needed to rest a little and take back the votes to Oporoma and he was in his home with our dear brother, the photographer of government house .

"No single Oweikorogha man will attest to the fact that there was anything near what they have done, that was expected.

"Nobody was there, and, of course, he had the right to remain in his house and they came, Ogili and ThankGod manifested in the toga of the salient saying in the bible that the enemy came to kill, steal, and destroy.

"In your presence as the amiable Governor of this state that has taken us this far, I want to pledge before you that blood that cries for vengeance.

"Let the blood of Seidougha also cry for vengeance. I want to thank and bless you and the government for the second time that you have come here."

APC condemns Dickson’s attempts to discredit poll

Posted: 28 Feb 2019 08:49 AM PST

Seriake Dickson
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State has condemned efforts of the state Governor, Seriake Dickson, to discredit results of elections in some wards in Southern Ijaw and Nembe local government areas of the state.

The party dismissed as groundless Dickson's statement against votes garnered in the state by President Muhammadu Buhari and APC candidates.

The party in a statement signed by its Publicity Secrtary, Doifie Buokoribo, also rejected an attempt by Dickson to equate himself with Bayelsa by claiming the state condemned votes polled by APC.

Buokoribo stressed that Dickson was not Bayelsa, and that the state was neither Dickson nor a political party.

He advised Dickson to explore the democratic option of seeking redress in the courts if he had any grievances about the poll results, instead of plunging into the realm of reckless and enflaming statements.

Buokoribo said: "The APC in Bayelsa State considers the government statement as baseless, ill-advised, and reckless. Dickson is not Bayelsa State.  Bayelsa State is not Dickson. Bayelsa State is not a party to the general elections. Bayelsa State Government must not be confused with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

As a narrow-minded and petty politician, Dickson seems not to realise that he is governor of all, not just PDP. Or are we to assume that APC members in Bayelsa State are from Sudan?

"The 23 February 2019 elections have taken place, the results collated and winners have emerged. No amount of threat, psychological warfare or fake news can change the results as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

"The only option open to any aggrieved party is a democratic court of law. As a lawyer, or even governor who has access to a myriad of lawyers, Governor Dickson should know this basic fact

"Working in concert with Governor Dickson is the amorphous Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) in Bayelsa State. Created by the PDP, CUPP is demanding fresh elections in Southern Ijaw and Nembe Local Government Councils won by the APC. Our advice to CUPP: go to court

"The peace-loving, democracy-minded people of Bayelsa State cannot be made pawns in a crude political game by rogue buccaneers seeking power at all costs".

Presidency to supporters: don’t incite opposition

Posted: 28 Feb 2019 08:42 AM PST

Ita Enang
The Presidency has appealed to the supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari not to incite the opposition party to anger as they celebrate his victory in the February 23 Presidential election.

It also called on all candidates for the governorship and House of Assembly elections to measure their campaign words in order to ensure maintenance of peace better than what was experienced during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang spoke with State House correspondents after meeting with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Congratulating the President and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for the victory at the poll, Enang said that those celebrating the success should be temperate and humble in order not to do anything that could infuriate the opposition.

He said, "Let me first of all congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in the victory as president and vice president on the Next Level and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

"What we as a government and a people should do is to ensure that our statements, our actions, our celebrations and our reaction to those who lost should be tempered, temperate, measured, humble and such that are not capable of inciting the other party to anger."

He advised those that won as senators and members of the House of Representatives to talk to their followers to speak less and work more to bring about unity and integration of those who have lost.

"The real winners in this election are the Nigerian voters; and we are conscious that about 11 million people voted for the other party while 15 million voted for our party.

"For the incoming members of the National Assembly, first, for the members who have been re-elected; first as Senators and members of the House of Representatives is to congratulate them; for those who are elected new and are coming in, we congratulate and welcome them.

"We are praying that their actions should also be conciliatory. In the next election we are going in on March 9, next week, we should look at as a party and as a government, the areas and the pitfalls and address them so that there would be peaceful election.
"I will advise that all those who are going for the election, campaigning, the governorship candidates and the House of Assembly candidates who are going in for the elections, they should also measure their campaign words and they should maintain peace better than was maintained in the presidential and National Assembly elections." he said

In the forthcoming governorship and house of assembly elections, he said, tempers would likely go high because the positions are closer to the people.

"This election is closer to the people; closer to the grassroots and tempers are likely to be higher, so they should measure their campaign actions and speeches," he said.

Senator Enang commended the security agencies for maintaining peace during the exercise and appealed to them to maintain the tempo.

He said "The military agencies did well; they should maintain the tempo as they did so that their neutrality will be sustained; the police, the Army, NSCDC and all other security agencies should maintain absolute neutrality in that exercise; they should sustain that so that the credibility that has been given to this election by the monitors and the international community should be sustained.

"Finally, I will urge the opposition party which has lost the People's Democratic Party(PDP) to be measured in their statements and reactions and their decisions. If they have grievance, let pursue the appropriate constitutional channel of a petition."

Buhari not bothered by Atiku’s court threat – Presidency

Posted: 28 Feb 2019 04:41 AM PST

Muhammadu Buhari
The Presidency on Wednesday night said that it was not bothered by the decision of the candidate of the opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar to challenge the outcome of the February 23 Presidential election in court.

Buhari on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), was on Wednesday morning declared winner of the presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Speaking to State House correspondent after a dinner hosted by President Buhari for some of the APC members at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha said that the Nigerian Constitution and the Electoral Act have made the provision for any candidate that is dissatisfied with election result to seek redress in court.

He said "We are not jittery at all because the process was open and transparent. It was a credible election and we will continue to savour in the victory but in the process too, we will extend the hand of friendship for the purpose of nation-building and reconciliation.

"Our electoral Act and the constitution have both provided a window for whoever is dissatisfied with the process of election to seek redress. That is the path and we will encourage them to go along that path." he stated

He also assured Nigerians that President Buhari would do more for them in his second term, especially in the area of infrastructure development.

He said: "Looking into the future of the country, the President is very clear about what he wants to do. He will stand on the three pivot points that he pushed forward in 2015; securing the nation, diversifying the economy and also fighting corruption with all intensity.

"There will be inclusiveness all over the place. This is one government that has really invested in social infrastructure by bringing people who are below the poverty level up and out of poverty.

"There are so many things that we are looking forward to and I am very thrilled and grateful that we had this opportunity to now consolidate on the tenets and gains of our democracy." he said

Breaking: Supreme Court to decide Onnoghen’s fate May 17

Posted: 28 Feb 2019 04:37 AM PST

Walter Onnoghen
The Supreme Court has fixed judgment for May 17 this year in a suit by Cross River State Government seeking to set aside the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen.

A seven-man panel of the court, led by Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour fixed the date on Thursday after taking arguments from lawyer to parties.

Lucius Nwosu (SAN) argued on behalf of the plaintiff (Cross River State), while Dayo Apata, Solicitor General of the Federation (argued for the defendants – the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Attorney General of the Federation).

It is the plaintiff's contention that Onnoghen's suspension or removal from office by President Muhammadu Buhari, based on an ex-parte order by a lay magistrate (the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal) violates the Constition, particularly Section 292(1).

In a counter-argument, the defendants are of the view that the plaintiff lacks the locus standi to approach the Supreme Court on the issue, because Onnoghen's suspension was personal to him and cannot be interpreted to amount to a dispute between the Federal Government and the Cross River State Government.

Davido reveals he is not engaged to his girlfriend Chioma in a new interview
Davido who is currently on a promo run in the US recently shared a series of video clips from his Siriusxm radio interview on his Instagram story. The singer talked about everything from his music to love and family.

Answering a question that bothered on how he felt about being able to cross over to mainstream radio, he revealed that it was quite an exciting feeling for him.

He added that the irony of the matter was anchored in the fact that the whole time he tried to make his crossover into mainstream radio, his efforts were futile.

However, at a time when he had stopped trying, he started to get his breakthrough into the international music scene. He said it was never as if he did not get to perform in foreign countries, but such shows were mostly attended by Africans in the abroad. Things have, however, taken a new turn.

When asked about how he has been able to use his international attention to bring awareness to his country, he said that people across the world already knew about Nigeria, however, he added that if there was anything good happening about his country, he would surely have something to do with it.

Davido when asked if he was engaged, he said that he was not but was quick to add that he had a girlfriend and they have been together for five years. When the interviewer made a casual remark that he should already be engaged to his lover, he said that his lover had an understanding of how demanding the music industry could get.

On how his children are able to handle his celebrity status, the proud father revealed that only one of his daughter, Imade, who resides in Nigeria, was fully aware of his superstar status as she often made remarks about her daddy being the popular Davido.

His other daughter who lives in the US, according to the celebrity dad, was not entirely aware of how big her dad is. The talented act added in his Instastory that he was going to be visiting another radio station on the day two of his US promo run.

JAMB registers 1.8m candidates for 2019 UTME

Posted: 28 Feb 2019 04:17 AM PST

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board ( JAMB ) says it has registered over 1.8 million candidates for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The Head, Media and Information of the board, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos.

NAN reports that registration of candidates for the all Computer Based Test (CBT) commenced on Feb. 10 and terminated on Feb. 21.

Benjamin said that the registration was a huge success, adding that there were no hitches at all across the various accredited registration centres nationwide.

"We have concluded the registration and we recorded over 1.8 million candidates for the UTME this year.

"Registration closed on Feb. 21, when we stopped the pin vending for the exercise.

"However, some candidates who had acquired the pin but were unable to register before Feb. 21, due to one reason or the other, were allowed to do so till 12 midnight, Feb. 25.

"The registration finally closed on Feb. 25, he said.

The JAMB spokesman dismissed rumours in some quarters that candidates could start printing their examination notification slip from March 2.

"This is misleading and absolutely not correct.

"Let me sound it clearly that the board has not come up with any date for both the examination and the printing of examination notification slip for candidates.

"The board will announce the date for the 2019 UTME soon.

"As it is now, no date has been fixed yet for both the examination and the printing of examination notification slip.

"The examination slips are usually printed, two weeks to the main examination, but that is only after when the examination date has been fixed.

"There is no way anybody can print examination notification slip when the examination date, itself, has not been fixed."

He, therefore, urged candidates and other stakeholders to remain calm, reassuring them that the board would make announcement and proper sensitisation about the date for the examination and printing of examination notification slip.

Court dismisses Okoracha’s N1. 25bn damages suit against IGP

Posted: 28 Feb 2019 04:02 AM PST

Rochas Okorocha
The Federal High Court sitting in Jos, on Thursday threw out a N1.25 billion damages suit filed by Gov. Rochas Okorocha, against the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the EFCC.

Okorocha filed the suit against the IGP and EFCC in November 2018 for allegedly invading and ransacking his house in Jos.

Delivering judgment, Justice Musa Kurya, dismissed Okoracha's application for lacking in merit.

"Even though there was no record of how the search warrant was obtained but a search warrant dated May 3, 2017 from a Magistrate has been attached as exhibit before this court.

"Whether due process was followed or not at obtaining the search warrant, there is no proof otherwise to its genuineness and the breach of sections 34 – 37 of the UN human rights and African Charter.

"Consequently, judgement is hereby entered in favour of the respondents. The applicant's claims are hereby refused.

"I hereby declare that the application of the applicant lacked merit and is hereby dismissed and cost is not awarded to either parties in this suit, '' the Judge declared.

NAN reports that Okorocha alleged that the IGP and the anti-graft agency breached his fundamental human rights following the May 3, 2017 invasion.
Also joined in the suit are the Commissioner of Police Plateau, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

The Governor prayed the court to declare the action of the police and EFCC as "illegal, null and void'' and award his client the sum of N1.25 billion as general damages because there was no valid court warrant for such an exercise.

But the IGP and the EFCC, through their counsel, Edwin Inegbenoise and Muktar Ali-Ahmed, pleaded with the court to dismiss the governors application for lack of merit since a court warrant was obtained for the search on his residence in accordance with the law.
