Kylie Jenner reportedly accuses her baby daddy, Travis Scott of cheating

Kylie Jenner reportedly accuses her baby daddy, Travis Scott of cheating
Kylie Jenner has reportedly accused her baby daddy, Travis Scott of cheating, an allegation that made him postpone his "AstroWorld" concert in Buffalo to work out his relationship.

TMZ reported that the rapper who postponed his tour to surprise his girlfriend and their one-year-old daughter Stormi, had his planned reunion with his family escalate into a row, following Kylie's accusations.

Kylie Jenner accused Travis Scott of cheating, after she disclosed that she discovered "evidence" which backed her claims. Travis however 'absolutely denies' cheating on the mother of one, and remained in Los Angeles to sort things out with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.

The cheating claims come amid the ongoing saga currently playing out between Khloe Kardashian, Tristan Thompson and Kylie's best friend Jordyn Woods. Jordyn and Tristan were caught cheating with one another at a house party in Los Angeles a couple of weeks back, with Khloe instantly ending her relationship with Tristan on learning of his infidelity.

It was also reported that Jordyn enjoyed a 'hook up' with another of Khloe's exes James Harden the night after getting together with Tristan – and Khloe seems to have washed her hands of the model, unfollowing her on Instagram. Kylie is said to be finding the extremely messy situation difficult and her family are worried she 'won't be able to cope' if she cuts off her friendship with Jordyn.

See Full List Of The Newly Elected Senators

Posted: 01 Mar 2019 11:44 AM PST

National Assembly Complex, Abuja

Facts have emerged that about 64 serving senators and 151 members of the House of Representatives will not be returning to the National Assembly in June when the 9th Assembly will be inaugurated.

According to the results of the elections released so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), only 45 senators and about 209 members will be returning to the federal legislature.

Meanwhile, fifteen of the newly elected senators are former state governors while forty-two of the 64 non-returning senators could not get their party's' ticket in October last year at their respective  primaries. The remaining 22 lost at the Saturday's National Assembly elections.

From the list released so far by the electoral body, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has 64 senators-elect so far, while the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has only 41. Another political party, the Young Progressives Party (YPP) has one senator-elect.

With 106 senators returned so far, there are three more seats yet to be concluded from Plateau, Kogi and Imo states.

Recall that in 2015, 79 Senators couldn't return to the red chamber. But the 64 is an improvement .

From the 42 senators that lost out during the primaries, few of them did not contest for reelection, while many of them went into the contest but lost.

For the House of Representatives, ‎the number of non-returning lawmakers represents 41.9 percent of the 360-member chamber. However, the number is expected to rise as election results from some constituencies are yet to be declared.

However, the results released so far showed that the APC got over 200‎ members so far in the House, while the PDP has a little over 100.
The big suprises

Senate President Bukola Saraki was among big wig who  lost to Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe of the APC. He has been in the Senate since 2011.

Former Senate minority leader, Godswill Akpabio also lost his return bid when he was defeated by Christopher Ekpenyong of PDP.

Also, former Benue governor, George Akume, who has been at the Senate since 2007, lost to a serving member of the House of Reps, Emmanuel Yisa Orker-Jev.‎

Senate Minority Leader, Biodun Olujimi also lost to former PDP Publicity Secretary, Dayo Adeyeye of the APC.

Meanwhile, two governors  Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state and Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe state contested to come to the Senate but lost.

List of Senators-elect

Orji Uzor Kalu (Abia North)

Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara),

Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko (Sokoto)

Chimaroke Nnamani (Enugu).

The 9th Senate

From the results released so far, APC has just a simple majority of 64 senators, 3 better than the 61 overall senators it  got in 2015.

Though APC has a comfortable majority, it still lacks the two-thirds majority, which is 73 senators to pass major legislation.

As a result, PDP has 39 senators against the 48 it got in 2015, while YPP has one.

Moreover, 46 senators got reelected this time, only 30 senators won in 2015, while 79 senators lost their return bid in 2015.

Six of the governors are currently serving their second terms, which will end on May 29. They are Geidam, Okorocha, Almakura, Shettima, Yari, and Amosun.

I'm not Kevin Hart – Rapper YCEE replies troll who tried to make him buy a pencil sketch By NellyBillz
Recall, we reported that American actor Kevin Hart showed massive interest in a talented Nigerian pencil artist from Kaduna in Nigeria.

As reported, the young boy had taken to posing a hyper-realistic painting of the international comedian across his social media platforms.

Well, the news caused massive reactions on the social media platforms as many people were excited at the fact that the American celeb recognized the artist.

This appeared to have encouraged other artist to try their luck with other celebs as well. An artist identified as @austinelkhasy made a pencil sketch of Nigerian rapper, Ycee. While trying to get the rapper's attention, another user, @Iam_KingBuchi tried to guilt trip the rapper into buying the artwork.

Ycee simply responded, saying he wasn't the American celeb, Kevin Hart, therefore implying the baiting wouldn't work on him.

His response however, did not sit well with many people who considered his response rude and insensitive. Many stated that the least he could have done was appreciate the artist for his work.

This led the rapper to put up another post, explaining himself.

He wrote:

"To quickly shed light. A lot of people said very demeaning things about me when @austinelkhasy decided to post the drawing. This reply was in no way directed at him. Whoever posted the pic to make it seem that way it's all good. You believe what you want last last"

Twitter users felt YCee's comment was inappropriate and they called him out.

But the artist tweeted, asking people to stop calling out YCee.

He wrote:

"@iam_YCEE is not the richest musician there is nor is he the poorest. I chose to sketch him because I'm his biggest fan. For the fact that he retweeted it is a win for me… Pls stop with all the belittling! Thanks."

Below are tweets calling YCee out:

South African universities leverage Blackboard Learn in the cloud

Posted: 01 Mar 2019 09:20 AM PST

Blackboard
Blackboard has announced that the University of the Free State, the University of Johannesburg and the University of Pretoria are now leveraging the Software as a Service (SaaS) deployment of Blackboard Learn, the company's flagship Learning Management System (LMS).

Thanks to the AWS-powered SaaS deployment, the three universities, which are ranked by QS among the top ten institutions of South Africa, will benefit from several enhancements including zero-downtime updates, continuous delivery of new features and reduction of costs.

The institutions also have the option to implement the Ultra experience, the next-generation user interface of Blackboard Learn, or continue to leverage the Original experience their students and teachers are familiar with. This flexibility allows the universities to answer their specific requirements, and to further focus on delivering an unparalleled teaching and learning experience that meets the needs of students and faculty.

The University of the Free State (UFS) has been successfully utilizing Blackboard Learn as a self-hosted solution for some years. Recently, the IT department and the Center of Teaching and Learning (CTL) decided to take a new approach to the management, maintenance and support of the LMS. The transition to the SaaS deployment perfectly answered the different needs, with the IT team becoming more service oriented and the CTL directly managing the LMS.

Thanks to the flexibility of the SaaS delivery model, UFS continued to use the Original experience for the Bloemfontein, QwaQwa and South (undergraduate programs) Campuses and fully implemented the Ultra experience in the delivery of fully online and distance programs on the South Campus.

"The SaaS deployment of Blackboard Learn provides UFS staff and students with a technological environment that enables teaching and learning, which is crucial to student success and engagement," said Tiana van der Merwe, Deputy Director for the Centre for Teaching and Learning at UFS. "As one of the oldest universities in South Africa, we believe that keeping abreast of technological advancements is what an institution of higher learning must be doing."

The University of Johannesburg (UJ) has leveraged the full power of Blackboard Learn via managed hosting for many years. While completely satisfied with the results achieved so far, the University leadership felt that transitioning to a SaaS deployment was critical to deliver on their vision for the next years. The transition to the cloud has been completely transparent for students and teachers who continued to use the LMS without any disruption.

After moving to the SaaS delivery model, UJ implemented the Ultra Base Navigation, a component of the Ultra experience that provides quick access to the most critical information from across all courses while maintaining the Original courses currently in use by their faculty and students.

"Moving to a SaaS deployment and enabling the Ultra base Navigation was a natural choice to keep the University of Johannesburg aligned with its strategic objectives of global excellence in teaching and learning," said Riaan Loots, Senior Manager of Centre for Academic Technologies at UJ. "The increased adoption of blended and fully online programmes at the University means that Blackboard is crucial for our day-to-day teaching and learning activities. The new SaaS model is scalable during peak periods, has no downtime and offers fast delivery of enhancements and new features − all benefits which we could not ignore."

The University of Pretoria (UP) has been a client of Blackboard for the past two decades and, over the years, has integrated all other solutions of the Blackboard portfolio. Their managed-hosting deployment has been instrumental in delivering an enhanced teaching and learning experience to students and faculty. To further build on these successful outcomes, UP decided to move to a SaaS deployment and reap the benefits it provides, while ensuring that staff and students continued to leverage all the features of the Original experience.

"The SaaS deployment of Blackboard Learn provides staff and students with greater stability and availability that further enhance the overall online experience," said Dolf Jordaan, Deputy Director E-Learning & Media Development at UP. "It also contributes to creating an educational eco-system to support teaching and learning, and student success strategies. Moreover, the transition has significantly increased the value of our investments in education technology, enabling our University to expand its leadership role in e-learning across Africa."

"We are thrilled that UFS, UJ and UP are now able to experience all the benefits of the SaaS deployment of Blackboard Learn," said Robert Speed, Vice President of Russia, Middle East and Africa at Blackboard. "These successful transitions are only the first steps and we look forward to continuing our partnerships with these forward-thinking institutions, further supporting them as they unlock all the new possibilities a cloud-based approach brings to teaching and learning."

Tinubu May Be In Trouble As Atiku’s Men Storm Lagos

Posted: 01 Mar 2019 09:21 AM PST

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu

A forceful takeover of Lagos is a "consolation prize" being contemplated by the camp of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar after a crushing defeat by President Muhammadu Buhari in last Saturday's presidential polls, it was learnt last night.

The move was one of the resolutions at an emergency strategy meeting held by the Atiku team when it became apparent that President Buhari had won by a wide margin, the first being a formal rejection of APC's victory as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Buhari polled 15,191,847 votes to defeat Atiku, who scored 11,262,978.

Even as the PDP flagbearer is still mulling his legal team to challenge Buhari at the tribunal, his strategists believe that taking over Lagos, the nation's commercial never centre, will enable the opposition party become an effective countervailing force to APC controlling Abuja, the political headquarters.

A similar bid was launched for Lagos in April 2015 by the then President Goodluck Jonathan with the deployment of dollars to induce voters after the PDP lost the presidential poll to the APC. The bid failed.

"To actualise the new plot, we can confirm that a huge war-chest has been mobilised by Atiku's camp to finance ahead of the March 9 state election a vicious smear campaign against the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, believed to have coordinated PDP's defeat as the Co-Chairman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council," a source said last night.

The source went on: "Specifically, Atiku's hatchetmen are to spread anti-Tinubu messages in the traditional media and social media, deploying any 'means necessary'.

"The first leg of the strategy meeting, it was reliably gathered, held at highbrow Intercontinental Hotel on Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island, Lagos Saturday night where the PDP governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, met with Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi and a few others to perfect the plan to recruit a faction of Afenifere and willing human rights activists to create a facade that the anti-Tinubu campaign is the initiative of civil society organizations (CSOs).

"The support of the likes of Olisa Agbakoba, SAN, Mr. Yinka Odumakin has been secured in this connection.

"In fact, the inaugural press conference is to be addressed by Mr. Agbakoba and Odumakin, whose relentless media offensive against Buhari had failed to sway Yoruba votes to Atiku across the Southeast last Saturday.

"Afikuyomi, described last night as a 'Judas' after benefiting politically from Tinubu in APC, was said to have been part of the 'Dubai retreat' hosted late last year by the Atiku camp after winning the PDP presidential ticket to draw up a 'war plan' against Buhari.

To evade public scrutiny or being accused of 'anti-party activity' by APC, Afikuyomi was said to have opted out of the Dubai-Abuja flight and rather adopted a decoy by flying to Lagos through Uganda.

"Interestingly, Afikuyomi had been the chief coordinator of the second term bid by the outgoing Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos which crashed in the APC primaries held in October in 2018.

"Furthermore, the involvement of another Ambode's core supporter, Mr. Wale Oluwo, in the latest plot against APC interest in Lagos set tongues wagging again last night.

"Oluwo, who resigned as the Lagos State Commissioner for Energy, has been described as commander in the anti-Tinubu plot, having superintended over the multi-billion Naira street lights projects exclusively under Ambode and has serially been fingered as the secret 'emissary' between Ambode and Agbaje."

After his exit from the Lagos cabinet last October, Oluwo declared support for Agbaje's governorship ambition.

But Governor Ambode has consistently denied any link whatsoever with the funding of Agbaje's campaign.

Party elders, it was further learnt, were incensed following startling revelations of mouth-watering patronage Ambode had doled out to Afikuyomi even while most of them were shabbily treated.

"Among Ambode's largesse to Afikuyomi is an eye-popping mansion located in the highbrow Ikeja GRA, the furnishing of which was said to have cost nothing less than N400 million", the source claimed.

Understanding the cyber resilience strategy

Posted: 01 Mar 2019 09:14 AM PST

Cyber Resilience
Technology has become deeply ingrained in our lives. The way businesses handle the risks posed by their technology is changing. As with anything, adaptability is survivability.

Cyber resilience is a set of practices and perspectives that mitigate risk within the processes and workflow of normal operations in order to protect organisations from their own technology and the people who would try to exploit it.
Senior Vice President and General Manager at Mimecast Limited, Michael Madon, gives insight on some of the concerns around data security the importance of a cyber resilience strategy in the cloud.

What are some of the cyber-security trends that we need to look out for in 2019?

In 2019, attackers are likely to shift their attention away from large enterprises that can afford and are starting to implement comprehensive cybersecurity, to smaller businesses and industries with historically lean IT. The small business sector is attractive for their IP, cash flow and relatively limited security maturity, making it easier to breach their defences. In a similar vein, larger companies in lean IT verticals like manufacturing and construction may have the scale but are not as likely to have a comprehensive cybersecurity apparatus in place.

Criminals also realise that targeting a large, well-protected organisation doesn't only mean that their efforts are likely to be wasted because security is more advanced, but if a threat is stopped, the security team could very well publicise the threat, making the criminals' tool sets worthless. That's not to say that enterprises are off the hook. Organisations with advanced IT infrastructure are increasingly becoming targets for state actors.

At the tactical level, existing attack methods, such as phishing, will be made even more effective thanks to improved social engineering and better data correlation. Flawless phishes are likely to give business owners sleepless nights, intensifying the need for awareness training to fix gaps in the human firewall.

What are the biggest cyber threats that we need to take precautions against?

Research shows that human error is involved in 90%+ of all security breaches. So, the biggest threat to your organisation isn't a specific attack method, it's your well-meaning employee who makes a simple security error and lets the bad folk in. Cybercriminals know this, and they will target your employees aggressively and from many angles.  The attack vectors like phishing, impersonation fraud and ransomware have become so advanced and so sophisticated that it's becoming increasingly difficult for the average user to identify an attack.

Despite the most advanced protections that can be put in place, despite the best threat intelligence that can be brought to bear, organisations remain vulnerable because of their employees' basic lack of security awareness. However, it is possible to raise awareness, to create an engaged and responsible workforce and security culture, to bolster your defence by creating a "human firewall."

The problem is most security awareness training programs just don't work. It's in the design. Overwhelmingly, if companies have a program in place at all, it's once-off or irregular, boring and can be described as a tick-in-the-box for compliance purposes. Security awareness needs to be ingrained into an organisation's culture. Employees must know what to do, care enough to improve, and then do what's right when it matters. So, the most important thing is to make training engaging and persistent.

Why is it important for government CIOs to invest in cybersecurity and data analytics in 2019?

A succession of high-profile government data breaches has cast a stark light on the importance of effective public sector cybersecurity policies and protections. Without fully functional public institutions such as revenue collection, freight handling, military defence, and social grant disbursement, governments will find it hard to instil confidence among its various stakeholders and service delivery to citizens, businesses and public institutions will be impeded.

Government should prioritise cyber resilience as the first line of cyber defence. Cyber resilience refers to an organisation's ability to continue to operate or deliver services despite adverse cyber events. And its first port of call in this regard should be greater awareness among its hundreds of thousands of employees regarding the different types of cybersecurity threats, how to spot them, and how to prevent them.

Data analytics, but more specifically threat intelligence, has become an essential weapon in the cyber war. There is so much data available to help understand which threats exist and how they're evolving. But without action, this data is useless. Being actionable means understanding data and using that information to increase the ability to be cyber-resilient. It's a lens to future threats and a means to be preventative. The key to actionable threat intelligence that matters is to keep it simple—ignore noisy feeds that don't have value and apply context to your organisation.

What advice would you give to the end user in securing their cloud?

  • Be suspicious by default. When faced with something fishy (pun intended) Stop. Think.  Verify. Don't trust any email and look out for warning signs. Look for spelling errors, check the sender's address to make sure it's legitimate and don't click on links within emails – rather go directly to the website.
  • Be password smart – don't re-use passwords across multiple services
  • Use two-factor authentication (2FA) wherever possible: This makes it harder (but not impossible) for criminals to use your username and password against you if your credentials have previously been stolen.
  • Don't store confidential information – or any company data for that matter – in a public cloud. These cloud platforms are understandably prime targets for criminals because of the vast amount of data they hold, and you don't want to risk having valuable company data breached because of a poor decision you made.
  • Always be cyber-aware. Cybersecurity is not only the responsibility of your IT team, it's everybody's responsibility and users need to make sure security is constantly top of mind. Cybercrime doesn't only have consequences for your company it can impact you personally as well. The attitude around training needs to change from one of compliance to one of commitment where security is part of your life.

How can organisations raise awareness and training for staff to ensure that cyber protection and data security are maximised?
Security training typically fails because it doesn't reflect how people work and learn today. It's delivered too infrequently, it's long, dull, dry, and boring and employees often feel targeted, rather than supported. When training is unengaging and unenjoyable, people don't learn.  If they are not armed with the knowledge of what to look out for and what to do when the situation arises, they will make mistakes.

Organisations should consider a solution like Mimecast Awareness Training. The programme uses a continuous, virtuous cycle that changes behaviour and lowers risk. The foundation of the platform is engagement through humour, which is the key to improving awareness and knowledge. Only by getting employees to understand both what's at stake and what to do about it can you change their attitudes and drive a lasting, positive shift in security culture. To accomplish these objectives, Mimecast Awareness Training focuses on four key areas.

Engaging training – video-based training modules developed by professionals from the TV and film industry are delivered to all users monthly. These 3 to 5-minute video-centric modules take a best-practice, "micro-learning" approach, driving retention by delivering persistent learning in manageable and digestible blocks. Core to training is humour. The videos are built to be informative but also fun. Rather than being threatening they're funny and employees look forward to training, rather than dreading it. They will pay attention and most importantly, they will learn.
Real-world testing – regularly evaluates employees and tracks indicators across the three root causes of human error – knowledge, awareness, and attitude. These tests are used to assess how seriously employees take security; assess their knowledge of the concepts each training module delivers which reinforces key concepts; and tests how well they can spot a phishing email with real-life examples of phishing attacks.

Employees and company risk scoring – lets you focus on the greatest areas of risk and need by using a predictive model to determine who your riskiest employees are based on both behaviour and how likely they are to be attacked. Armed with this information, you can direct training resources to those who need it most, dramatically improve outcomes, and substantially reduce risk.
Custom, Personalised Training and Other Remediation – Based on individual employee profiles, training can be delivered with more regularity, and behaviours can be flagged so your team can provide one-to-one coaching when needed. Customised scenarios can be created to continuously assess and train high-risk employees, and system permissions can also be adjusted for those who don't respond well to training.

With cyber attacks becoming more sophisticated, how can organisations ensure that they best secure their data?
Organisations need to ensure that their entire IT infrastructure is protected with effective and layered security solutions. And with email being the number-one vector used to execute cyberattacks like malware delivery, phishing, Business Email Compromise, and for spreading threats that are already internal to an organisation, protecting this vital business application is a non-negotiable.

The only way for organisations to get ahead of cybercriminals and holistically protect their business is to adopt a new approach to email security. It's time to accept that a defence-only security strategy is no longer enough and will lead to consequences like intellectual property loss, unplanned downtime, decreased productivity and increased vulnerabilities. Organisations need to embrace Cyber Resilience for email. This includes having:

An understanding of emerging threats and how companies are remediating.
The right security services in place before an attack happens – focused on prevention as well as those focused on adapting after an attack happens.
A well trained, cyber aware workforce.

A durability plan to keep email – and business operations dependent on email – running during an attack or failure.
The ability to recover data and other corporate IP after an incident or attack occurs.
The ability to adapt to continually evolving and escalating cyber threats is critical, but it's a task made immensely challenging by a global shortage of skilled security professionals. This places the spotlight on end-user training: without the relevant security skills in place, it becomes even more important for cybersecurity to be a shared responsibility across the organisation.

Don’t abandon farms for politics, Umahi advises

Posted: 01 Mar 2019 08:18 AM PST

David Umahi
Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi has advised the people not to abandon their farm work and other agricultural ventures because of the general elections.

Umahi gave the advice on Thursday in Abakiliki, at the launch of the 2019 farming season in the state.

The event was attended by rice and cassava farmers, traditional rulers and beneficiaries of government's empowerment schemes, among other stakeholders.

He said that government had enough funds to assist farmers during the farming season.

He said: "We have funds from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Federal Government so farmers should register with the state ministry of agriculture and natural resources to be able to access the loans.

"You only need to tell us how much fund, fertilizer and herbicides you want and how you intend to pay back because we will not profile farmers this farming season."

He said that government would only verify the farmlands to be used for cultivation but will not provide rice seedlings to farmers this year.
"Our own people, including workers and government officials, dealt with us last farming season and when we are eating our future, we do not know.

"You pay high amount of money for rice seedlings and they (officials) would get the seedlings through the farmers and supply them to us.

"We are therefore not procuring rice seedlings for anybody again," the governor said, adding that farmers should produce their own seedling or go to Benue to buy.

"My father was a farmer all through his life, trained all his children to the university level but never sought for government's rice seedlings," he said.

He further advised civil servants, who had yet to access the N4 billion agricultural loan for farmers, to register.

He, however, warned that the facility would not be treated like the issue of gratuity.

"The records of the gratuities paid by the past administrations in the state were burnt. "Otherwise, the 40 per cent payment we made could have been used to pay all the civil servants," Umahi said.

The governor, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, appealed to the traditional rulers to persuade their subjects to vote for him on March 9.

He said that voting massively for him in the election would demonstrate the people's appreciation of all that God had used him to do for the state.

"The turnout of voters on February 23 was poor. You should persuade our people to vote for us instead of voting on the basis of clanishness," he said.

Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, Eze Charles Mkpuma, the Chairman of the state Traditional Rulers Council, admitted that votes were cast on clanish consideration.

"We shall, however, guard against such attitude on March 9. We shall use the election to reward you for the rapid transformation witnessed in the state under your watch," Mkpuma said.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that representatives of the farmers and town unions and beneficiaries of the governor's empowerment schemes took turn to assure him of their unflinching support.
