BBNaija Uriel says Sex will be a reward for her future husband and her after marriage

BBNaija Uriel says Sex will be a reward for her future husband and her after marriage
It is widely believed that celebrities have whatever they want at their beck and call. However, former Big Brother Nigeria contestant, Uriel Oputa, says that fame makes it harder to find a man for a serious relationship.

In a chat with Sunday Scoop, she said, "There are some fields in the entertainment industry that men might look at and be afraid of getting married to the women there. Sometimes, they could get married to such women because of infatuation and the public image of the lady. For me, I feel it is harder to find a man now that I'm famous. I meet men who pay me compliments every day, but it's harder for me because I don't know their motives. Do you want me for who I am, or because of what you see on TV and social media? Because of that, I put up a wall because I don't want to be used.

"However, I'm learning right now to drop the wall and take each day as it comes. I have been celibate for three years and I haven't been on a date in a long time. This doesn't mean that when I meet someone, I'm going to rush to have sex with the person. I'm going to be celibate until I get married because I know what I went through in the past three years. Sex is going to be like a reward for both of us after we get married. I went through a lot in my last relationship and that's part of the reasons I've stayed celibate because I don't want to be hurt like that again."

On whether she is comfortable being a baby mama, Oputa said, "I am not open to having a child outside wedlock. It's not like there is anything wrong with it. Things happen in life that we cannot control. There is no wrong and no right; it all depends on individual perspective. I want to meet someone that I genuinely love and who is meant for me. I want a man I can look up to and who is everything to me. I want to have a child with somebody I love. I'm 32 now and I know what I want. My dad died when I was two years old; so, I grew up without a father, and I know what I missed. I wouldn't want my children to have that experience. However, I am not judging anybody. My mother was a single parent and she made it work to the best of her ability.

Source reveals Chris Attoh's wife was shot by her drug ex-hubby
Following the sudden death of  Bettie Jenifer, Chris Attoh's wife source just popped out another story

Bettie Jenifer, Chris Attoh's wife has been shot dead in the USA and speculations on how and who killed her have already started circulating on social media and not all of them are pleasant.

According to an inside source, Bettie Jenifer was killed by a hired gunman of her ex-husband who is sitting in jail for drug offenses, Ghpage.com has gathered.

From what we have gathered, Bettie Jenifer was married to cartel boss who has been jailed and she never told Chris Attoh about him when they met.

But after they got married and threats started pouring in from the cartel members, Bettie Jenifer convinced Chris Attoh to deleted their photos from his Instagram page to send the message to her ex-husband that they have separated. From what Ghpage.com has been told, that is why Chris deleted her photos last week

Sadly, they couldn't convince the drug organization that Chris Attoh has left their boss' wife alone. Pissed by the unfaithfulness, an order for her to be taken out was given by the boss from jail.

Emir Sanusi: Traditional Rulers Must Respect Political Authority – Tanko Yakasai Reacts To Kano Emirate Disintegration

Posted: 12 May 2019 05:07 PM PDT

Alhaji Tanko Yakasai

An elder statesman, Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, has reacted to the whittling down of Emir Muhammad Sanusi's influence through the creation of four additional emirates in Kano State.

Alhaji Yakassai, said traditional rulers must learn to respect and subject themselves to political authorities if they want to sustain the heritage of their offices.

Governor Umar Ganduje of Kano had, yesterday created and installed four new emirs for Bichi, Rano, Karaye, and Gaya following a new law passed by the state legislature splitting the Kano emirate.

However, Yakasai said the splitting of Kano was bound to happen whether Gov. Ganduje oversaw it or not.

"Well, I think that if you can remember, after the election of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, in Kano in 1979, in between that period and 1982, the government of Abubakar Rimi, with the full support of his leader, our leader, Mallam Aminu Kano, created new emirates out of the existing one.

"And actually, the majority of the emirates created then were already autonomous administrative units long before the advent of the British colonialists. For instance, Rano is older than Kano. Gaya itself is older than Kano.

"What I am saying is that the existence of at least two or more of the additional emirates created by Alhaji Abubakar Rimi predated the creation of Kano Emirate.

"This event of the last few days (the creation of additional Emirates) in my opinion was bound to come sooner or later.

"You must cast your mind back to the factors that gave rise to it before in the 80s. What made them to do that? Even in Sokoto and Borno states, there is the same feeling for the creation of additional Emirates.

"I think that the sooner the traditional rulers in Northern Nigeria or in Nigeria as a whole begin to realize that there is a superior authority; if people who are inferior to them in authority are willing to submit themselves to them, they in turn should be prepared to submit themselves to a higher authority.

"This has been the problem in Northern Nigeria since the introduction of democracy in Nigeria. This is what led to the misunderstanding between the grandfather of the present Emir, and Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sarduna of Sokoto and the Premier of Northern Nigeria.

"The trouble between both men was caused by issue of accepting a higher authority or subordinating your own authority to a higher authority," he told the Sun newspaper.

On what the position of Kano elders to the situation was before it got out of hand, Yakasai said: "I understand that some of the elders of Kano State made representation to the governor of the state, before it happened and his response to them was that when the Emir was showing acts of insubordination to him and to his administration was the time that they would have tried to intervene because they ought to have realized that the kind of situation was bound to happen.

"This was the answer he gave them, so I was told. And I would like to say that elders in Kano or in any part of Nigeria should try to be objective and straightforward: Tell the truth wherever it is necessary. Not damn the consequences, do it through diplomacy.

"There is a way you can still say the truth without earning the anger of anybody. I think our leaders and elders should begin to learn to talk and speak out, not when it is already too late."

I’ve Taken Enough Insults From Oshiomhole, But I’ll Not Leave APC For Him - Rochas Okorocha

Posted: 12 May 2019 01:41 PM PDT

Adams Oshiomhole and Rochas Okorocha

Rochas Okorocha, the Governor of Imo State, bares it all in an interview with select Editors in Abuja. arguing that there was no justification for the travails he is being subjected to by the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in his bid to collect his Certificate of Return as the duly elected winner of the Senatorial election in Imo West. Our Deputy Editor, Nation's Capital, Yomi Odunuga, was there. Excerpts

HOW far have you gone in your bid to retrieve the senatorial Certificate of Return seized by the Independent National Electoral Commission?

I had written a letter to INEC informing the officials about their wrong doings and illegal actions taken by INEC to withhold my certificate on mere allegation of duress, which was never founded, neither was there any committee set up to investigate the matter. INEC on their own believed the reports by their returning officer, without investigating the authenticity of such allegation. So, there was no issue of fair hearing at all on whether I committed the offence that their person alleged. What is important here is that INEC doesn't have the power to withhold my Certificate of Return, having declared a result. Both the Certificate of Return and the declaration are just one subject matter, just that the other one is ceremonial because result has been declared. Looking at some of the activities that have taken place since this issue of my certificate, it became obvious that the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmud Yakubu, was up to a game with the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, who are being used to frustrate my coming to the Senate and this is politically motivated. I've given enough time that INEC might correct itself and do the needful and issue a Certificate of Return, all to no avail. To buttress the point more, even after issuance of this letter to INEC, many things have happened within the week; for instance, INEC that made a submission to the tribunal in Owerri has gone back requesting that they want to withdraw the submission they have made. The submission they made was defending the declaration by INEC, which is normal that INEC ought to defend their declaration. But because that submission was seen to be in my favour, INEC has gone back to say they will withdraw the submission, which is also out of time. Now, they went through an affidavit by the Head of Legal Department; one Mr. Elekwa, who made the submission, has now gone back to say he wants to withdraw and reliably, I was informed that he was under threat by one Festus Okoye, who has threatened to sack him from INEC if he does not withdraw. So, there is a huge threat going on now in INEC to sack the gentleman for not doing the wrong thing or being part of the script and I'm sure, for some reason, they may have forgotten to inform him to do the wrong thing because if they had informed him to do the wrong thing, he would have done that. He went there believing that he was defending INEC the normal way they should. Festus Okoye is the man being used as the hatchet man now to do this in line with the game being played by the National Chairman of APC.

What fact do you have to buttress the belief that the APC Chairman is involved in your travails with INEC?

Surprisingly, and again to also buttress the point, the APC National Chairman has gone to the tribunal asking to withdraw the matter which APC had filed defending the victory of APC at the Senate. What INEC is doing is the same thing the APC is doing. So, this tells you that there is a game going on. But I wonder what they will do with the certificate. If they don't give me the certificate, who will they give it to? Maybe they will give it to Festus Okoye because Festus Okoye is from my senatorial zone. But what these gentlemen are doing is presenting INEC as a lying organisation and that is dangerous for our democracy because, as it stands right now, the image of INEC is bastardized for this singular act and they are setting a bad precedent. What that means is that tomorrow, somebody can withdraw the result of anybody because you don't like his face or because you feel he is going to politically challenge you in the future. But, it is rather very funny to see this happening in our own time and generation. What is happening now is what happened in the primitive days, not now in this modern world.

Has INEC responded to your letter?

They have not responded to my letter. They have said nothing to me. I wrote that letter in my capacity as the Governor of a State who contested for the Senate and INEC cannot ignore my letter. So, I demand explanation from INEC as to why they have withheld it.

But you went to court?

I took INEC to court in a matter between me and INEC, to give me my certificate, which is the normal thing. But INEC has also now connived with other parties, the Peoples Democratic Party and also the All Progressive Grand Alliance, to be a joinder. Even today, they also said somebody else wants to join. Everyday, somebody keeps joining, just to delay the matter. There is complete high level of conspiracy to fight Rochas. But I assure them, they will fail.

READ ALSO:  "Destroying Me Amounts To Destroying APC In Igboland" - Rochas Okorocha Declares

Why the conspiracy?

It's politically motivated definitely. If not, why do this? The story started when they imposed a candidate on Imo State; when they imposed Hope Uzodinma who came two weeks to our primaries and they want to give him the ticket at all cost, leaving the people who founded the party, who won the primaries. You remember Gulak came and ran away with the result sheets. They upheld it.

You said the National Chairman of the party is part of your travails. But I remember that you were one of those who supported him to emerge as the National Chairman of your party. What suddenly happened that he is now against you?

Yes, he is part and parcel of the game plan. There is nothing personal between Adams Oshiomhole and I other than that Adams Oshiomhole is part and parcel of this high level conspiracy to bring down Rochas politically. This is just aimed at making sure that Rochas doesn't have a solid foundation politically. They say if I get to the Senate, I want to run for the President and all of that; that I want to run for 2023 elections. Who told them? Have I declared? You wait until I declare and when I do declare, we now fight politically.

It's totally unacceptable. That the party I formed that brought out the APC we have today will treat me in this manner is also unfortunate because the evil I feared in the PDP has befallen me ten times in the APC. I hate injustice and that's what I'm seeing on daily basis now playing out. What they are doing makes them to also appear to me as cowards. When you want to fight a man, you come out and take responsibility and say I will fight Rochas. But they are hiding. If they are man enough, let them come out and say Rochas, I'm going to fight you, let me know how they want to fight.

Part of the problems you have with your party is because of the alleged anti-party activities that you carried out in Imo State by asking one of your principal officers to join another party to contest the gubernatorial poll and you used your machinery to support him. Is that true?

This is just a later development. It has been on. You forgot there was a primary. You forgot there was even a Congress where the then Organising Secretary, Osita Izunaso, ran away with the ballot boxes and the Police Commissioner was later transferred? It's just a booklet that is opened page by page on a daily basis. You forgot that Gulak even came and ran away with the result sheets and said election is finished. The security were there and all of these people. That's part of the conspiracy. It's not about anti-party.

READ ALSO:  Okorocha appeals to INEC to release his senate certificate

You met with the President on this matter on two occasions. How come the party has not resolved the problem?

What I took to the President was entirely a different matter because I believe that this matter shouldn't be a matter that Mr. President should come in. If you know President Muhammadu Buhari as a person, he is not such a person who interferes.

I don't think Mr. President is behind this. Buhari is definitely not behind this. If you know President Muhammadu Buhari in his own style, you will know that he will keep quiet and never say anything about this until they prove themselves right or wrong.

If those behind it are very close to President, can't the President call them to order?

Remember this matter has to do with INEC and INEC is perceived to be independent and if Mr. President is going to talk to INEC, he's interfering with the independence of INEC. Whether Mr. President speaks or not, what is right is right and what is wrong is wrong.

With all of these, do you still feel comfortable about remaining in the APC?

I'm in the APC. I've never thought of leaving the party for now and I have no reason because I won under the platform of APC.

When you say the misfortune you feared in PDP has befallen you ten times in the APC, are you still comfortable remaining and allowing the misfortune to multiply?

Where will I go to? I have to be in the APC. I formed the APC.

Are you stranded?

I'm not stranded. I'm in APC and I have not indicated that I'm going to leave APC. Remember that the intention of these people is to frustrate me out of politics and out of APC so that they can have a field of play. But all I advise today is that let no institution or organisation allow itself to be used as an instrument to destroy somebody politically who has committed no offence.

If by chance you meet Adams Oshiomhole today, what will you tell him?

We will chat as usual. What will I do to him? The last time I saw Oshiomhole was when I went to Oshiomhole's office and he sent his State Security Service man to insult me in his office, before the governorship candidate of Akwa Ibom, the NDDC guy who also reacted against the gentleman. An SSS was pushing me out as a governor from his office. So, I've taken enough of insults from Oshiomhole and all those that are planning this evil.

You said the anti-graft agencies are on the trail of many people in your government. Are you suspecting that they are part of this conspiracy because what they said before the election, they claimed that you were taking money from government coffers to buy votes?

First and foremost, if you think right and people reason well, if you want to withdraw N17 billion in this country now, it will take you two years to get N17 billion from all the banks in Nigeria. So, these are frivolities. But anybody can say anything against you just to find a way to attack you and I'm saying that they should apply some reasonability in what they do. Nobody should be used as an instrument to fight anybody because of some political reasons. If not, such institutions also will lose their credibility.

N100b Local Govt Cash, Governor In Big Trouble

Posted: 12 May 2019 01:04 PM PDT

NFIU

Governor of a State in Nigeria is in big trouble for allegedly withdrawing about N100billion from his state's Joint Local Government Account (SJLGA) under the guise of addressing security challenges.

Much of the funds was withdrawn in cash on the orders of the governor, The Nation gathered yesterday.

The alleged fraud was uncovered by the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) following suspicious transactions by the governor.

The banks which facilitated the withdrawals have been assisting security agencies, especially the NFIU, on how the fraud was perpetrated.

Sources said ongoing investigation by the NFIU has shown widespread abuse of the State Joint Local Government Accounts (SJLGA) by state governors.

The development was said to have informed the decision of the NFIU to ban banks, governors other financial institutions, public officers and relevant stakeholders from tampering with the statutory allocations of Local Government Areas from the Federation Account.

Although new financial guidelines by the NFIU will become effective from June 1, the agency has already put all the banks on alert to forestall last minute withdrawal from the Joint Account by governors.

The NFIU said as from 1st June any bank that allows any transaction from any local government account without monies first reaching a particular local government account will be sanctioned 100%, both locally and internationally.

According to a reliable source, the NFIU has retrieved a table of massive withdrawals by state governors from the joint account (SJLGA).

The source said: "of all the instances at hand, we have a case of cash withdrawal from a joint account which was as much as N100 billion by a governor. This is a state with all sorts of insecurity.

"About N10billion out of the N100billion was recently withdrawn in suspicious circumstances.

"We have shared the intelligence with all relevant agencies. We cannot allow the trend to continue at all because whatever we are doing have global implications. Some agencies are already handling the case of the said governor.

"The NFIU has tightened the noose on some complicit banks. Before the international community comes talking to us, we have decided to act with the issuance of new guidelines.

"Remember that all these electronic transactions are regulated worldwide, they have worldwide connection. They are seeing it; they are not just coming to Nigeria simply because they just want to blacklist us for blacklisting sake.

"So, rather than sacrifice the entire system, we sacrifice individuals and organizations involved, who are committing these crimes, and we will do that.

"Our findings are not empty, these documents are not empty, we attach with proves of structured massive withdrawals all amounting to money laundering, which is our responsibility to stop."

The source said the NFIU will fully monitor compliance with the new guidelines on financial transactions by local governments.

The source added: "The volume of transactions from the account doesn't matter; we have ways of how money laundering can be detected.

"Even if the guidelines do not work, we will do everything to make the banks comply because our main concern about Local government account is the corruption aspect of it, money laundering, terrorism financing and proliferation of weapon.

"We are prepared to face the task, we have options in stages on how to handle the issue at hand but if it gets apparent that our national security is threatened, we go international and blacklist the banks."

The source said the agency will take all precautionary steps before wielding the big stick on banks collaborating with governors to siphon local governments' funds.

Continuing, the source said: "We intend to be friendly with the banks with the assumption that they will implement the guidelines but if the banks refused, they will be blacklisted internationally.

"We will not allow the country to be blacklisted, instead we will sacrifice the banks and the individuals involved.

"We didn't put this in the guidelines because once we blacklist anyone or bank, it appears real time in over 160 countries that are linked to the system.

"This is a system that politics don't come to play. You can play your politics anywhere but you can't bring politics into NFIU because once a name is on the system, it's global and finger print scrambled internationally immediately.

"Beyond that, we are facing a lot of international pressure from international financial system to isolate and blacklist the entire country on account of several violations that are going on within the country."

On the constitutionality of NFIU's action, the source said: "We have instruments within our law and we'll work with the Federal Ministry of Justice on the implementation of the new guidelines.

"Previous issue of contention between the federal government and the governors was about control of funds, and not within the context of money laundering, terrorism financing issues among others, which are our exclusive mandate.

"Constitutionally, the governors do not have powers to do anything with the joint account other than collection and distribution. The account is not for transactions to pay individuals or companies."

"That is the reason for the guidelines, which was based on the conviction that there's nowhere in the constitution where the Local Government Account was designated as a transaction account.

"The situation today is that the Local Government system is completely dead but we need to change the trend and that is why the cooperation of everyone is needed."

The NFIU had on Monday unveiled the new guidelines in Abuja.

The complete copy of the guidelines has been released to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and Chief Executive Officers of all Banks and other financial institutions.

A statement by the Acting Chief Media Analyst of the NFIU, Mr. Ahmed Dikko explained in details the steps taken to protect local government allocations.

The statement said: "The NFIU requests all financial institutions, other relevant stakeholders, public servants and the entire citizenry to ensure full compliance with the provisions of the guidelines already submitted to financial institutions and relevant enforcement agencies including full enforcement of corresponding sanctions against violations from 1st June, 2019.

"Having realized through analysis that cash withdrawal and transactions from the State Joint Local Government Accounts (SJLGA), poses biggest corruption, money laundering and security threats at the grassroots levels and to the entire financial system and the country as a whole, decided to uphold the full provisions of section 162 (6) (8)of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution as amended which designated " State Joint Local Government Account into which shall be paid allocations to the local government councils of the state from the federation account and from the government of the state."

"The amount standing to the credit of local government councils of a state shall be distributed among the local government councils of that state" and not for other purposes. As far as the NFIU is concerned the responsibility of the account as a collection account is fully reinstated.

"In addition, taking such measures was necessitated by prompting reasons on the NFIU to respond to threats of isolating the entire Nigerian financial system by other International financial systems due to deficiencies in our anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing implementation and measures.

"Therefore, it is no longer possible to allow the entire system to suffer the deliberate and expensive infractions or violations by public officials and/or private business interests."

"In addition, a provision is also made to the effect that there shall be no cash withdrawal from any local government account for a cumulative amount exceeding N500, 000:00 per day. Any other transaction must be done through valid cheques or electronic funds transfer."

Nigeria’s Problems Could Be Solved With Biafra Technology – Abubakar Tsav

Posted: 12 May 2019 12:50 PM PDT

Abubakar Tsav

Abubakar Tsav, outspoken former Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, and Elder statesman, has said that Nigeria would have been among developed nations if it had tapped the inventions of Biafra after the civil war.

According to the former Police boss, failure to accept the Biafran technology after the war and the successive corrupt leadership Nigeria has had over the years have been responsible for the country's poor development indices.

Abubakar Tsav, in an interview with Sun newspaper, said: "I only pray that people who are coming now are those who have the interest of the people at heart and are God-fearing; they are not just there to make money, but are there to serve the nation.

"Since the end of the civil war, we have not been progressing as a nation because during the civil war for instance, when the Biafrans were confined to their territory, they had no option than to device a means of survival and they were able to manufacture bombs, mines, refine petroleum products, and other technological feats.

"If we had accepted them, by the time the war was over, by now we would have gone very far beyond where we are today; we would have been technologically advanced.

"We never attained that because we are not united, we are corrupt and selfish. If we had tapped the ingenuity of the Biafrans, those inventions, etc, Nigeria would have been far ahead than what we are today, but unfortunately, corruption came in because everybody wanted to make money for himself; that is why we are in this sorry state now.

"Through corruption, people are making so much money that they don't know the number of houses they have, and that is why we are still struggling that we cannot produce ordinary toothpick in this country; we cannot produce handkerchief in this country. All these things are imported from different countries of the world. It is a big shame indeed."

South Africa's Presidential Election Winner Announced, Keyamo Mocks PDP

Posted: 12 May 2019 06:28 AM PDT

Festus Keyamo SAN

The Spokesman of Buhari Campaign Organisation, Festus Keyamo SAN, has mocked opposition political parties in Nigeria after the results of the South Africa Provincial and National elections were announced by the Independent Electoral Commission yesterday.

President Cyril Ramaphosa was announced the winner of the election, and while congratulating him, Keyamo stated that here in Nigeria elections are only free and fair if the opposition won it.

He added that any victory for ruling party is seen as rigged by the opposition in Nigeria.

Although Keyamo's comment also affected his principal, President Muhammadu Buhari, who before 2015 challenged the outcome of previous presidential elections in court, he went on to mock the People Democratic Party, PDP, and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who are claiming that they transmitted the election results to I-Cloud, Daily Post reports.

Keyamo, who is also an APC lawyer, tweeted, "Congrats, Ramaphosa. But here in Nigeria, elections are only 'free and fair' at any level if the opposition wins it.

"Any victory for the ruling party is 'rigged'. We hope your opposition will not claim that they transmitted another set of results to I-Cloud."

Meanwhile, President Ramaphosa has commended South Africans and the Electoral Commission of SA (IEC) as the country closes a chapter on the 6th national elections.

Ramaphosa delivered the keynote address at the IEC's results announcement ceremony at the Tshwane showgrounds on Saturday evening.

The IEC chairperson, Glen Mashinini announced the provincial and national election results, in which Ramaphosa's party, the ANC, scored 57.51% of the national votes and retained control of eight provinces, while the DA held on to the Western Cape.

Senate President Bukola Saraki's five choice properties located in high brow Ikoyi, Lagos have been sealed off by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), citing ongoing investigation of the politician.

The agency is in the process of approaching a court for an order for the interim forfeiture of the properties pending the conclusion of Saraki's trial for allegations against him.

The mansions under seal include 15, 15A, 17 and 17A McDonald Road, Ikoyi.

The commission suspects Saraki of having acquired the properties with state funds when he served as Kwara State governor between 2003 and 2011.

It also believes that he has not declared them.

The anti-graft agency is currently probing Saraki's earnings and acquisitions while in office.

The investigation covers how a N17billion bond of the state was spent; allocations to the state from the Federation Account during his tenure; and some suspicious transactions by the state government in the administration of the outgoing Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State.

An EFCC source said of the probe: "It is an ongoing case which has to do with alleged illegally acquired properties while he held sway as the governor of Kwara State.

"We have attached the five properties in line with sections 27(4), 28 and 29 of the EFCC Establishment Act.

Responding to a question, the source added: "We don't have to obtain a court order before attaching any property. Our Act is very clear with regards to that.

"Once you link a property to proceeds of crime, the next thing is to attach it by way of marking and to approach the court for forfeiture."

Sections 27(1-4), 28 and 29 of the EFCC Establishment Act 2004 read in part:

"27 (1) Where a person is arrested for committing an offence under this Act, such person shall make a full disclosure of all his assets and properties by completing the Declaration of Assets Form as specified in Form A of the Schedule to this Act.

"(2) The completed Declaration of Assets Form shall be investigated by the Commission.

"(3) Any person who – (a) knowingly fails to make full disclosure of his assets and liabilities; or (b) knowingly makes a declaration that is false; or (c) fails, neglects or refuses to make a declaration or furnishes any information required, in the Declaration 'of Assets Form, commits an offence under this Act and is liable Oil conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years.

"(4) Subject to the provisions of section 24 of this Act, whenever the assets and properties of any person arrested under this Act are attached, the Commission shall apply to the Court for an interim forfeiture order under the provisions of this Act.

"(5) The Chairman of the Commission shall have powers to make such changes or modifications to the Declaration of Assets Form specified in Form A of the Schedule to this Act as may become necessary in order to give effect to the provisions of this Act.

"28. Where a person is arrested for an offence under this Act, the Commission shall immediately trace and attach all the assets and properties of the person acquired as a result of such economic or financial crime and shall thereafter cause to be obtained an interim attachment order from the Court.

"29. Where- (a) the assets or properties of any person arrested for an offence under this Act has been seized ; or (b) any assets or property has been seized by the Commission under this Act, the Commission shall cause an ex-parte application to be made to the Court for an interim order forfeiting the property concerned to the Federal Government and the Court shall, if satisfied that there is prima facie evidence that the property concerned is liable to forfeiture, make an interim order forfeiting the property to the Federal Government."

Also being investigated by EFCC in respect of the N17billion Kwara State bond are outgoing Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and the Accountant-General of the state.

The agency wants to establish how the money was spent.

The anti-graft agency suspects that part of the funds may have been diverted for private use.

The bond was intended for  13 projects and loan refinancing package during the tenures of Saraki as governor and Ahmed, who is his successor.

The projects are  Aviation College –(N1.5b budgeted, N2.448, 663, 386.56b spent); Asa Dam Mixed Use Development Project (N2b); Kwara State University (N1b); Ilorin Water Distribution Project (N2b allocated, N3.736b spent); Shonga Irrigation Project (N2.9b allocated, N882.9 million paid to contractor); Kwara Advanced Diagnostic Centre( N750m allocated, N1.861b spent); Urban roads (N1.5b allocated but N1.609b spent); Rural and Feeder roads(N200m); Ilorin Metropolitan Street Lights Project(N250m); Kwara Vocational Centre (N650m); Loan refinancing (No evidence of payment of N2.4b to AFDB); Ilorin Township Stadium Project—N1b allocated but N1, 117 430, 700.54 spent; Electrification Project—N462, 144, 291.10; Kwara Mall Project—N500m allocated, $2m deposit in another account

The EFCC has already interrogated the Secretary to the State Government, two Permanent Secretaries, the Accountant-General of the state, and about three contractors.

All those invited were said to have made "voluntary statements."

Two ex-commissioners and two members of the House of Representatives might be questioned too.

But a government source in the State accused EFCC of embarking on a "wild goose chase because the bond has been fully repaid since 2014 without any outstanding liability for the people of Kwara State."

Saraki, had through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu described the latest probe as a witch-hunt.

Olaniyonu in a statement said: "At this point, we need to remind members of the public that Dr. Saraki's tenure as Kwara State Governor has been investigated several times since his last months in Office in 2010 till date.

"In fact, at a point, as incumbent Governor, he voluntarily waived his immunity and submitted to investigation and yet nothing was found against him.

"Also, members of the public should be reminded that during the proceedings of his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) between 2015 and 2018, it became clear that the evidence relied upon was from investigations conducted by the EFCC on his tenure as Governor and that is why the lead witness for the prosecution was an EFCC agent, Michael Wetkas.

"Yet, the CCT in its judgement dismissed the 16 charges filed against Dr. Saraki and that verdict was upheld by the highest court of the land, the Supreme Court," the statement said.

"However, we need to remind the Commission that Dr. Saraki is not an outgoing Governor.

"Since 2011, tens of governors have been in and out of our various State Houses. Likewise, hundreds of Senators and Representatives have been in and out of the National Assembly.

"To single out one individual for persistent investigation can only be logically and plausibly interpreted to be a witch-hunt. This is definitely no fight against corruption. It is a battle waged against a 'political enemy'. It is a 'label to damage' plot."

Ruggedman has to say about Naira Marley's arrest by EFCC, you've got to read this!
Ruggedman wonders why no one has not come out to protest against Naira Marley's arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley was reportedly arrested on Friday, May 10, 2019, days after he released a song titled "Am I A Yahoo Boy"

Earlier in April, the singer in an Instagram Post said anyone who knew about slave trade would not criminalize internet fraud.

However, Ruggedman in an interview with City FM on Friday has reacted to Naira Marley's arrest saying he's yet to see anyone go to EFCC office to protest against his arrest.

The veteran rapper who spoke in Pidgin English said : "I wake up this morning to see say EFCC don carry am. I don dey wait to see his people wey go halla go EFCC office go protest, but I no see dem.

"Well, make we dey wait, because at the end of the day, my advice to the people on social media, all you gangsters and gangsteresses, know that when dem dey push you for social media, real-life dey. If dem push you mistakenly ...you know say when rewire dey work, and dem cross two wires, e go shock. So wetin happen to am today be say dem go cross social media wire, the fake life wire with reality own, e com shock am. As reality com put hand inside socia media pull am comot say guy com and explain that your slavery issue first".

You'll recall that Naira Marley and Ruggedman recently had a go at each other when the latter criticised the former over his statement about internet fraud and slavery.

The veteran rapper asked Naira Marley not to mislead young people on social media by using slavery to justify cybercrime.

In another interview with Hip TV, Ruggedman urged to Naira Marley to stop celebrating fraud.

He said; "For a young upcoming artist like him, he shouldn't be doing stuff like that. You don't just come out and start celebrating fraud. Especially something, nothing not just in Nigeria but the whole world is frowning upon. You don't want to know how they look at Nigerians abroad because of fraud. Does two wrongs make a right?

In his response, Naira Marley fired back at Ruggedman asking him to spend his time writing lyrics to resurrect his career rather than writing advice.

Naira Marley is'nt new to 'Arrest' says he has been arrested 124 time in England
After the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested him, Naira Marley has this to say about himself.

One day after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested Naira Marley, a video of him emerged online where he talked about how many times he has been arrested.
On Friday, May 10, 2019, Pulse reported that EFCC arrested Naira Marley and four others over his alleged involvement in advance fee scam and other related cyber crimes.

Confirming the singer's arrest, the acting EFCC spokesperson, Mr Tony Orilade, in an interview with Premium Times, said, "Yes, he is with us. He's not the only person; he had some other persons also arrested alongside (him). They were arrested in relation to advance fee fraud — Internet-related cases and all of that. Give me a little time and I will get you the details."

However, following his arrest, Naira Marley has something to tell his fans about his music and how many times he's been arrested.

The singer in a live video said: "Lemme tell you, you don't nothing about me, I have been arrested 124 times in England and I am not doing any other type of music, No slow songs, no love songs, just street music."

There were divergent views over his comments from Nigerians and even among celebrities. Even though he went on to explain the reason behind his comments, many felt he was only trying to save his face.

Nse Ikpe-Etim shares medical issues about her 'Womb' and why she won't be having any child for the rest of her life

Nse Ikpe-Etim  shares medical issues about her Womb and why she won't be having any child for the rest of her life
Nse Ikpe-Etim said she knew about the medical condition three years ago.

Nollywood actress, Nse Ikpe-Etim has opened upon why she has not had a kid and why she's not going to have one.

The award-winning actress while speaking at an event tagged "Conversation With Nse" in Lagos said she won't be able to have a kid because she has removed her womb.

She said she was diagnosed with Adenomyosis, a medical condition whereby the inner lining of the uterus breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus three years ago.

She said, "I was told I couldn't have kids. And so, I had to have a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) to make me have a life again and to stop going through what I was going through. And I'm literarily telling women and men, it really doesn't matter if you can't bear children. What really matters is what you would do for the world, for the universe."

"When I was first told by the doctor that I would have to remove my womb to live a normal life, tears dropped and then my husband squeezed my hand. .

"It was reassuring that there was someone there and it was telling me that this is reality, my reality. The ordeal made me fall into depression.

"I didn't think there was any point anymore because my society taught me that I have to be a mother to be appreciated and every time I went online, I would have one troll or two say 'you never born? But I'm thankful that that didn't break me."

Nse Ikpe-Etim came into limelight in 2008 for her role in Reloaded. She was also nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her role in Reloaded and Mr and Mrs at the 5th and 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards respectively.

This is for Tonto Dikeh: Alibaba Writes About Ladies Who Make Fathers Look Like Monsters
Comedian Alibaba has this one for Actress Tonto Dikeh!

Alibaba has dropped a shade for Tonto Dikeh, as he wrote about ladies who make fathers of their children look like monsters. The ace comedian who recounted past experiences including the marital crisis of a Nigerian career diplomat posted to East Africa, stated that women should try not to mess up the relationship the child will have with the father because they are upset.

The shade post reads in part;

Very often, you will see ladies who make the fathers of their children look like monsters. The said father may be the best father the child ever wished for, but, the mothers' hurt will not let the fathers have the opportunity to show the child that love.

Many years ago, a certain wife of a Nigerian career diplomat, posted to East Africa, had a messy and sour marriage. It was a very popular case.

The woman resorted to making sure she flung all kinds of dirt at the Diplomat. She even asked the Nigerian Government to recall him and dismiss him. While she was all out to ruin him. She forgot that her children were depending on their father's support to make a headway in life. The Solomonic dilemma came to play again. If I can't have him, then let me mess his career up.

They say 'Experience is the best Teacher' Maybe!.. Bovi shares some advice from experience.

Nigerian comedian, Abovi Ugboma, popularly known as Bovi, took to his Instastory to talk on marriage.

In a post addressed to both Nigerian men and women, Bovi stated that marriage isn't a bragging right or a trophy.

He also told Nigerian men that they can't demand respect from women outside because they have a wife at home.

The posts read:

Note to Nigerian women – Marriage isn't a bragging right. That you have husband doesn't make you better than who doesn't. That you lose husband doesn't mean you have failed.

Note to Nigerian men – Your wife is your partner. Not a trophy. You can't demand respect from other women because you have a wife like them at home

Meghan Markle’s dad’s ex-wife call Meghan a fool if she should allow...

Meghan Markle's dad's ex-wife call Meghan a fool if she allows...

Meghan's ex-stepmom thinks it'll be foolish of the Dutchess to allow her Dad have access to the new Royal Baby.

Meghan Markle's dad's ex-wife has said the Duchess of Sussex will be making a huge mistake if she lets her dad to be a part of her newborn son's life.

Roslyn Markle, 73, who was married to Meghan's father, Thomas Markle, 74, from 1964 to 1975, warned Meghan not to involve her father in the life of newborn son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor because Thomas Markle sr. was an "awful father" to his children. She added that Meghan would be a "fool" to end the current estrangement between her and her father.

Roslyn is the mother of Samantha Markle, the half-sister who makes Meghan's life miserable and says horrible things about her to the press.

Roslyn told the Mirror of Meghan's father: "Repeatedly he has shown to Meghan he cannot be trusted. She must know that now. I speak not out of bitterness, my life moved on many years ago, but out of concern.

"Archie deserves to be brought up in a happy home, not in this vengeful situation that has been created."

Roslyn also claims that during their marriage, Thomas Markle had affairs with other women, took drugs and starved the family of money to the point that she had to steal from a store to survive.

She also said that soon after her marriage to Thomas Merkle, he began "screaming" abuse at her and would "often lose his temper". She gave up work to look after their daughter Samantha, and says that this was often used against her when she asked for money to buy food and nappies.

She said that when they welcomed their son Thomas Markle Jr in 1965, their hostile marital life only went from bad to worse. At one stage, she claims Thomas sr. drove her and their children to his mum's house in Pennsylvania and "abandoned" them there while he went to Chicago to enjoy a single life. She said his parents helped to clothe and feed the family but doing so made them "broke" and eventually he "reluctantly" came to collect them.

Living together again, Roslyn claims Thomas refused to take her anywhere to buy food and she became so desperate she had to resort to stealing.

She said: "It got so bad that one day I had nothing to feed the kids with, I went down the local corner store and got some food. I put some items on top of Jnr's blanket, but I put many underneath it. I am so ashamed, but I had to steal, it was the only way I could feed them."

Roslyn also claims Thomas got into a habit of not coming home till 10 am the following morning. He usually retuned "smelling of women" then he will have a shower, change and go to work.

Meghan Markle is a

She went on to claim that Meghan's father used cocaine. Thomas Markle Sr. admitted last year to having had an "occasional sniff".

Roslyn said she was finally able to leave the marriage after a friend helped her out. Four years after Roslyn and Thomas sr. divorced, he married Meghan Markle's mother, Doria Ragland. But they parted ways in 1987, 8 years after they married. Meghan was still a child at the time.

Thomas Markle denies all the allegations. He said that his ex-wife's accusations were "not valid", adding that his children Samantha and Tom Jnr had since both left their mother to live with him. He claimed they had joined him as a result of Roslyn's "bad habits and abuse".

Omawumi talks on her relationship with singer Waje, reveals secret

Omawumi talks on her relationship with singer. Waje, she reveals secrete
When mentioning the list of 'besties' in the Nigerian music industry, singers, Waje and Omawumi, would be at the top of the list. The duo have been friends for so long that they recently launched an entertainment outfit together.

In a chat with Saturday Beats, Omawumi shared the secret to their longtime friendship. She noted that although they had issues from time to time, they always found ways to work things out.

The songstress said, "It is very easy to work with women, especially those that are professionals. Sometimes, people have the impression that women are supposed to be slow and that we do not grasp things easily but the truth is that women are one of the best multitaskers in the world. So, when you give a woman a task, she thinks of how she can be the best at the job and also the best version of herself so that you can come back and work with her.

"As regards me and Waje, we have been friends for a long time and I always tell her that if we were a man and woman and had a child together, the child would have become a teenager by now. It does not mean that we do not have issues but whenever such happens, we sit down and trash them out. I think that it is one of the things that make us friends and good business partners."
