Timi Dakolo asked to go for a DNA Test since wife slept with Pastors
A follower on Instagram, in response to popular singer, Timi Dakolo's shade on Pastor Fatoyinbo, says that the singer needs to have a DNA test done. This is because Timi Dakolo's wife, Busola Dakolo, usually slept with pastors in Ilorin.

The user tells Timi Dakolo to stop defending the women or 'victims' and instead, check his home first. This follower is trying to imply that Busola Dakolo has had one or more children for a pastor, and not for the artiste.

Tobi Bakre, an ex housemate of the Big Brother Naija 'double wahala' edition is a year older today. In celebration, he shared a couple of interesting photos along with an inspiring message.

Read below…

What an amazing journey it's been so far. 25 years of becoming Tobi Bakre. I'm glad to be the man that I am right now. It has not been easy but staying true to myself, values and people I believe in has made it easier.

The world, especially Nigeria, is challenging. The odds are always stacked up against the youth trying to make it in life. I am blessed to say that thanks to God, family, friends and everyone out here who supports me, I am set up for success.

To me, success is not material possessions, that's far from it. It is the blessing to wake up everyday with an opportunity to do the things that give me genuine joy and fulfilment. To inspire others to think bigger, be better and to show them that it is possible to chase your dreams, makes my heart smile. Few things give me more joy than seeing others happy and I am grateful that I am able to do that as I walk my journey to success.

A very big thank you to my family and friends. The support system has been unrelenting. Even to the loved ones I don't see for periods of time, I am grateful that it's always love and good vibes when we link up. God bless you.

Where do I even start with my supporters? A heartfelt thank you for standing by me since the day you saw me on your tv screens. Your support and love has remained unchanged and it continues to grow every waking day. Know that I see you and I recognise and appreciate the love. Each and every one of you. The journey continues and I pray we shall continue together. Thank you so much! Y'all the real MVPs!
.
To all the brands and individuals who trusted me and gave me countless opportunities to do the things I love for a living and also put food, not only on my table, but on other tables, I am forever grateful. Y'all deserve all the accolades.

Ps: this thank you means more to come from you o!
.
To my mentors and everyone positively touching lives, encouraging, for others to live a better, purposeful life, continue the good work. Life will always come with its challenges but with the right mind-set, we will always overcome.
.
I thank God I have reached this milestone but the journey to more continues.

Movie Director, Kensteve Anuka gives reasons why he featured Bobrisky In ‘Bobrisky In Love’ Movie

Posted: 01 Jun 2019 11:00 PM PDT

Movie Director,Kensteve Anuka gives reasons why he featured Bobrisky In 'Bobrisky In Love' Movie
Nigerian Barbie and Cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, was recently featured in a movie in which he acted like a lady. This movie stirred a lot of controversy to the extent that it was reported that the movie might be banned by the Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board.

In the same vein, the director of the movie, Kensteve Anuka, was accused of promoting homosexuality; which has been described as alien to the Nigerian culture.

However, in an interview with Saturday Beats, Anuka, who is the writer and director of the movie, noted that the movie was never meant to promote homosexuality. According to him, the movie hasn't been banned but a panel has been set up to investigate its content.

"There was no ban; a panel was set up to investigate if the movie promoted some things that were against our culture. If it is found to be true, then the movie would be banned. There is no outright ban of the movie. It is not good to judge a book by its cover, they need to watch the movie and see the message in the movie. If they have an issue with the lead character in the movie, then I wouldn't know. As a professional filmmaker, I try to cast people who fit into my script perfectly. Film is make-believe; it's about trying to convince people.

"The movie is about a young man whose father is a core traditionalist. The young man left to study in the western world as a normal man, leaving his family members and fiancée behind. The father was to be given a traditional title, and part of the requirement of the title was to present his son who should take after him.

"He had performed other rites and the last step was for the son to come back. He believed his son was still the way he was when he left for overseas, so he was acquiring properties for him. The father was even in line to become a king. He was very proud of his son and expecting him to come back bigger than he left, only for the supposed son to return as a woman. He was shocked. They (his siblings and fiancée) were all surprised. The character begged his family to accept him the way he is, but his family members insisted that they wouldn't do that because it was against their culture. It was a battle in the movie.

"The bottom line was that they tried everything to make him behave like a man again, traditionally. That is what the storyline is about. At the end of the movie, the character said he was only playing a game to test the love of his fiancée to see if she would still accept him. At the end of the day, he decided to put away everything that made him look like a woman to be with his fiancée. The movie didn't try to promote homosexuality," he said.

The director further stressed the reason why he chose to feature Bobrisky in his movie, adding that he was only trying to get the best act for the role and he had no intentions of promoting him.

"I chose to cast Bobrisky for that role because he already had the features we needed to interpret the role well. When you make a film and it looks fake; people won't find it interesting. As a filmmaker, we use every tool we have to tell a story. We don't discriminate, everyone has their personal life. We are law-abiding citizens; the movie was already on YouTube and had many views. When we saw that a panel had already been set up, we pulled it down pending the outcome of the investigation. We are responsible filmmakers.

"I don't make my judgments on what people say. I did it because I wanted to make a film and pass a message. There is the business angle to every profession. For every movie, there is the business side. Before we cast for every movie we are doing, we try to estimate the commercial value of the talent. If we didn't do that, we would be kicked out of business. We made the film and chose the perfect person for the role. The movie has to be seen to the end to see that we are not trying to promote him," he added.

Anuka also talked about some of the challenges he had faced in his career as a director, noting that "every trade has its ups and downs".

"For me, I have experienced both the good and the bad. I have been successful in the way I tell my African stories. Different things inspire the content of my movies. Development in the society also inspires me; sometimes inspiration comes to me in the bus," he said.

Dr. Bertola, Chairman Of Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission, Reigns, States Reason

Posted: 01 Jun 2019 04:29 PM PDT

 Dr. Bertola Perekeme

Dr. Bertola Perekeme, the Chairman of Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission (BYSIEC), has resigned his position, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

In his resignation letter dated May 31, Perekeme cited threats to his life and that of his family members as reasons for his decision.

Bertola Perekeme however, hoped the development would not jeopardise the council polls scheduled for Aug. 10.

The resignation letter sighted by NAN in Yenagoa on Saturday was addressed to Gov. Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa.

NAN recalls that Perekeme had on April 27 postponed the election earlier slated for July 27, to Aug. 10, pledging that the polls will be free, fair and credible.

The resignation raised doubts over the conduct of the Aug. 10 council elections in the eight local government areas of the state.

The resignation was confirmed in a statement signed by the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Daniel Iworiso-Markson, in Yenagoa on Saturday.

Iworiso-Markson said Gov. Dickson had accepted the resignation and thanked Perekeme for his services to the commission, particularly for setting in motion the process to conduct the Aug. 10 local council election.

Dickson assured that the council poll would still go on, regardless of the development, as other members of the commission were in quorum to carry on with the business of conducting hitch free council polls.

The statement noted that the most senior member of the commission would take charge in acting capacity, pending the appointment of a substantive chairman.

Oshiomhole Face Serious Battle From APC Governors Over Party

Posted: 01 Jun 2019 03:04 PM PDT

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole

Plots to remove the embattled Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), from office will reach a crescendo in a few weeks' time, unless the Presidency intervenes, Saturday Tribune authoritatively reveals.

However, the South South states chairmen  of the party, have blamed the immediate past national chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, for the plight of the incumbent chairman, Oshiomhole.

The chairmen passed a vote of confidence on Oshiomhole and vowed to resist any attempt to blackmail him out of office for standing against injustice which they said was the hallmark of his predecessor.

The statement was jointly signed by the six South – South APC state chairmen namely, Ini T. Okopido, Akwa Ibom State; Amos Lalabunafa, Bayelsa State; Mr. John Ochalla, Cross Rivers State.

Others were Prophet Jones Ode Erue, Delta State; Aslem U. Ojezua, Edo State and Ojukaye Flag Amachree, Rivers State.

Governors behind the move to remove Oshiomhole are belching smoke and will soon set their foot soldiers loose to start demanding for a meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.

A party source told Saturday Tribune in confidence that a letter released on Tuesday by the Deputy National Chairman (North) of the party, Senator Lawan Shaibu, was part of the coordinated plot to put the perceived mismanagement of the party by the former Edo State governor on the front burner.

The source said further that the anti-Oshiomhole forces, who have infiltrated his National Working Committee (NWC) and succeeded in winning certain aggrieved members to their camp, were actually waiting for an auspicious time to strike in a few months' time until a recent move by the party chairman compelled them to review their plan and move swiftly.

The source disclosed that the composition of a five-man committee announced on Monday was the last straw which angered the enemy camp as it was perceived as a deft move by Oshiomhole to axe more chieftains of the party.

Checks revealed that Oshiomhole had set up the committee to "review the numerous petitions on anti-party activities of some members from the states."

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Malam Lanre Isa-Onilu, in a statement, disclosed that the Deputy National Chairman (South), Chief Niyi Adebayo, would lead the committee.

The statement said the setting up of the committee became necessary following "several petitions alleging various forms of anti-party activities by some members, including working against the party or our candidates in the just concluded elections."

The committee, which has one week to submit its report, has as members,  National Vice Chairman (South-West), Mr Bankole Oluwajana; National Legal Adviser, Babatunde Ogala; National Treasurer, Adamu Fanda and National Disabled Leader, Misbau Lawal Didi.

"Coming a few months after the suspension of Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Rochas Okorocha and Pastor Usani Uguru Usani, his targets were able to read between the lines and they took a counter move," the source noted.

Further findings by Saturday Tribune showed that Senator Kabiru Marafa; the immediate past governor of Zamfara State, Abdul Aziz Yari and other protagonists in the crisis that rocked the Zamfara State chapter of the party are expected to be reprimanded by the Adebayo-led committee.

The Supreme Court, last week, in its ruling on the litigations that trailed the controversial primaries conducted by the party in Zamfara State, upheld the decision of the Sokoto Division of the Court of Appeal to the effect that the APC did not conduct any valid primary election and as such, had no candidates for any of the elections in the state.

The apex court consequently declared that the party with candidates with the second highest votes and spread in the various elections were the valid winners of the governorship and National Assembly and House of Assembly elections and should be issued with certificates of return.

With the emergence of Oshiomhole, loyalists of the national leader of the party, Senator Bola Tinubu and his defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (CAN) were perceived to be in firm control of the APC, leading to complaints in hushed tones by remnants of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and President Muhammadu Buhari's defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC).

Saturday Tribune's checks revealed that besides the former Edo State governor, Senator Shuaibu, who wrote the letter demanding Oshiomhole's removal, and Chief Adebayo were members of the defunct ACN.

The national secretary of the party, Malam Mai Buni, who was in the defunct ANPP, has since vacated the office, having emerged as the Yobe State governor. Stalwarts of Buhari's CPC have since embarked on the project to install Waziri Bulama from Borno State as replacement for Malam Buni as the national secretary.

READ ALSO:  I've Taken Enough Insults From Oshiomhole, But I'll Not Leave APC For Him - Rochas Okorocha

Bulama was the Deputy Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and he is from the North-East.

But governors in the North-West led by Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai and his Zamfara State counterpart, Abdul Aziz Yari, who vacated office on Tuesday, may have succeeded in winning aggrieved Senator Ahmed Lawan to their camp.

Incidentally, Lawan is from Zamfara State and the Supreme Court judgment has since stripped the APC of the governorship ticket, three Senate seats, seven House of Representatives seats and 23 seats in the state House of Assembly.

A party source told Saturday Tribune that there is mutual distrust between Adebayo and Oshiomhole as the Tinubu camp believes the former Ekiti State governor was "donated" to the party's national secretariat by the trio of the immediate past Ogun State governor, Senator Amosun, Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu and his Ekiti State counterpart, Dr Kayode Fayemi. There has been speculation of an el-Rufai/Fayemi presidential ticket in 2023.

Forum of state chairmen divided

Findings revealed that the Tinubu forces are banking on the forum of state chairmen of the party to stave off the plot to unseat the embattled former president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

By virtue of the APC constitution (2014, as amended), the 36 state chapter chairmen and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are members of the party's NEC and their support for the immediate past national chairman of the party, John Odigie-Oyegun, sustained him in the office for a long time.

The governors have since pulled the rug off Oshiomhole's feet, having succeeded in polarising their ranks as only a few of them from less than eight states have spoken in defence of Oshiomhole since the plot to remove him became public knowledge.

Oshiomhole holds the ace

Tinubu's camp appears not jolted by the governors' latest prank. A member of the camp, who spoke in confidence with Saturday Tribune, dismissed the call for Oshiomhole's removal as a storm in a teacup.

The source argued that "the aggrieved governors reserve the right to ventilate their views but cannot bully the entire NWC to convene a NEC meeting purely for a sinister motive that is an open secret."

There lies the power of Oshiomhole as he is the only one mandated by the party's constitution to convene a meeting of the NEC.

Article 25 (B) (i, ii) of the party constitution reads: "The National Executive Committee shall meet every quarter and or at any time decided by the national chairman or at the request made in writing by at least two-third of the members of the National Executive Committee provided that not less than fourteen (14) days notice is given for the meeting to be summoned;

"Without prejudice to Article 25(B(i) of this Constitution, the National Working Committee may summon an emergency National Executive Committee meeting at any time, provided that at least seven (7) days notice of the meeting shall be given to all those entitled to attend.''

Article 25(C) (i, ii) also empowers him to convene meetings of the NWC.

The section reads: "The National Working Committee shall meet at least once every month at the request of the national chairman;

"Without prejudice to the provision of Article 25(C) (I) the meeting of the National Working Committee may be summoned on a request made in writing by two thirds of the members of the National Working Committee at any time, provided that at least seven (7) days notice of the meeting shall be given to all those entitled to attend."

Some People Approaced Me To Join In Destroying Tinubu — El-Rufai

Posted: 01 Jun 2019 10:58 AM PDT

Gov. Nasir el-Rufai

Nasir el-Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna State, on Friday, revealed that some unnamed people asked him to join in a plot to destroy Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader.

The Governor disclosed this while he was playing host to 121 members-elect of the House of Representatives who were on a consultation tour of the North West on Friday at the Government House in Kaduna.

El-Rufai was invited to deliver a lecture in Lagos last month on godfatherism, where he said that he had an answer to godfatherism as he had retired four godfathers in Kaduna.

According to the Kaduna State Governor, during the last election only 1 million registered voters came out to vote in Lagos out of the 5 million voters, so he asked why did the remaining voters refused to come out, pointing out, if he is the governor of Lagos he will out on those who did not come out to vote to defeat the godfathers in Lagos apparently referring to Tinubu, The Tribune reports.

READ ALSO:  Why we want Lawan as Senate President, by APC Governors

El-Rufai, however said it was "a generic statement", adding that he had a template that was used to retire some godfathers in Kaduna State.

He said: "That was not an attack on Asiwaju, it was a generic statement, but the whole thing took a media frenzy because to some people, Asiwaju is a meal ticket.

"Let me tell you, because of that, some people started confessing to me that Asiwaju should be dealt with.

"They said Asiwaju wants to finish you, he has been abusing you, we should finish him by finishing his man, Femi Gbajabiamila."

However, contrary to insinuations in some quarters, el-Rufai had disclosed that Femi Gbajabiamila was President Muhammadu Buhari's choice for the Speakership position of the 9th House of Representatives.

"I told them that this is not about Asiwaju but President Buhari and I will fight it with the last drop my blood. I told them to change their mind.

Regina Daniels father speaks again, her reply would shock you

Regina Daniels father speaks again, her reply would shock you
Newly married actress, Regina Daniels has finally spoken about her father, saying she knows who her real Daddy is and not one Barrister, Jude Ojeogwu.

"Every Dick and Harry claiming to be my father.. That is if i have one. Yo! I kmow who my father is.." Regina Daniels wrote on Social media.

Meanwhile find below, an excerpt of Barr. Jude Ojeogwu's interview with Vanguard, published yesterday, May 30.

In an exclusive chat with E-Daily, the actress' father, Barrister Jude Ojeogwu revealed how Regina and her two brothers, deceived him into believing that there was no romance between her and Ned Nwoko.

"I invited Regina to my house where I live in Lagos; (I can't disclose the location of my house right now for security reasons); she came to my house with her siblings (Lawrence and Samuel Ojeogwu) and I asked her if all I've been hearing is true because I wanted to know what was actually going on. She 'Daddy, nothing is going on.' I asked my first son, her brother, Lawrence Ojeogwu, the same question and he also said nothing was going on. I then asked my other son, Samuel, the same question, he too said the same thing, 'Daddy nothing is going on'. I said okay, should we now say all that I've been hearing and seeing is more like a movie? And they said 'Yes'.

However, I advised that if she wants to get married to an old man, she (Regina) should not forget that very soon she (Regina Daniels) would become a widow. But that if she is getting married to a man like her age mate, of the cause, becoming a widow would be far from her (Regina Daniels). That was where we finished the discussion about her marriage. I went further to ask what was happening about her education because I used to visit her in her school, Igbinedion University. She said she has plans of travelling to Dubai for her studies. I asked her what was in Dubai if not Arabic; that she should be thinking of going to Havard or Oxford University", he said.

He added that when videos of the actress' initiation ceremony into 'Otu Odu' surfaced online and that of the traditional ceremony, he was forced to finally speak."

Justice Cecilia Olatoregun of the Federal High Court in Lagos had on April 27, 2018, ordered the final forfeiture of the said N1.4billion to the Federal Government.

Dissatisfied with the verdict of Justice Olatoregun, Melrose General Services approached the appellate court for redress, asking it to set aside the pronouncement of the lower court, Sahara Reporters reports.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had on March 13, 2019 arraigned Gbenga Makanjuola, a Deputy Chief of Staff to Senate President Bukola Saraki before Justice Maureen Onyetenu of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on an amended 11-count charge bordering on alleged conspiracy, accepting cash payment beyond threshold and money laundering to the tune of N3.5billion.

Makanjuola was charged alongside Kolawole Shittu, cashier to the Senate; Robert Chidozie Mbonu, a former Managing Director, Societe Generale Bank of Nigeria, who is at large; Melrose General Services Limited; and Obiora Amobi, Operation Manager, Melrose General Services Limited.

Justice Onyetenu ordered that the charge be read to defendants for their plea to be taken.

One of the counts read: "That you, Gbenga Makanjuola, sometime in December 2016 in Nigeria, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, did accept cash payment of the sum of $500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Dollars Only) from Kolawole Shittu without going through a financial institution and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1(a) of the Money Laundering Prohibition Act, 2011 (as amended by Act No. 1 of 2012) and punishable under Section 16 (2) (b) of the same Act."

Another count read: "That you, Robert Chidozie Mbonu (now at large) and Melrose General Services Limited between the 14th day of December, 2016 and January 2017 in Nigeria, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, took control of the sum of N3,500,000,000.00 (Three Billion, Five Hundred Million Naira Only) transferred from the Nigerian Governors' Forum's account into Access Bank Plc account number 0005892453 by Melrose General Services Limited, when you reasonably ought to have known that the said fund represented the proceeds of lawful activities to wit-conspiracy, stealing and fraud, and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 15(2) (9) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011 (as amended by the Act No.1, 2012) and punishable under Section 15( 3) of the same Act."

Big Blow

In its judgment on the matter on Friday, the Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal of Melrose (the appellant) and resolved the four contentious issues in favor of the EFCC (the first respondent).

The appellate court further held that Melrose appeal lacked merit and ordered the firm to pay 100,000 cost to the EFCC.

The appellate court also held that Melrose could not show that the said funds were lawfully earned by it.

It added that section 17 of the Advance Fee Fraud Act, 2006, which the EFCC relied on to seek for the forfeiture of the said funds was constitutional.

According to the Court of Appeal, Melrose was not denied fair hearing in the matter.

Justice of the Court of Appeal (JCA), Justice Tijjani Abubakar wrote the lead judgement, Justice E. Tobi delivered the judgment while Justice O. A. Obaseki-Adejumo concurred with the verdict.

Lawyer to the Melrose, Mr Olawale Akoni (SAN) argued the appeal while the lawyer to the EFCC, Mr Ekele Iheanacho, appeared for the Commission.

The EFCC had claimed that Melrose obtained N3.5bn from the Nigeria Governors' Forum by making false claims.

Listed as defendants in the final forfeiture application filed before the Federal High Court were Melrose General Services Limited, WASP Networks Limited and Thebe Wellness Services.

The firms were accused of impersonating a consortium of consulting firms engaged by the NGF for the "verification, reconciliation and recovery of over-deductions on Paris and London Club Loans on the accounts of states and local governments between 1995 and 2002."

But the EFCC insisted that the original firms engaged by the Governors' Forum were GSCL Consulting and Bizplus Consulting Services Limited.

‎Usman Zakari, the alter ego of Melrose General Services Limited, Robert Mbonu, made a false representation to the Governors' Forum, causing the forum to pay N3.5bn to his company on December 14, 2016.

Zakari said the money was credited into the Access Bank account of Melrose General Services Limited, adding that Melrose and others dissipated and laundered about N2.3bn out of the money between December 15, 2016, and January 20, 2017, leaving a balance of N1.2bn.

Zakari said the anti-graft agency had also recovered N220m out of the laundered sum from WASP Networks Limited and Thebe Wellness Services.

The EFCC had on October 13, 2017, obtained an interim order from Justice Mojisola Olatoregun, placing a "Post No Debit" order on the accounts containing the N1.2bn and N220m.

The Judge had made the order following plea by the lawyer to the EFCC, Mr Ekene Iheanacho, that it would best serve the interest of justice for Melrose and others to forfeit the N1.4bn temporarily to prevent them from dissipating same.

The Judge, after granting the interim freezing order in 2018, directed the EFCC to publish the order in a national daily giving anyone interested in the funds 14 days to appear before the court to show cause why the funds should not be forfeited permanently.

Subsequently, one Prince Godwin Maduka and Linas International Limited showed up before the court, praying separately that the funds should be forfeited to them.

Maduka claimed that his firm, Udemgaba Maduka & Associates, had been engaged in 2011 as a consultant by Zamfara State Government to help the state recover some hanging funds, with an agreement that it would be paid 20 per cent of the recovered funds.

He urged the court to forfeit the N1.4bn to his company to cover Zamfara State's alleged indebtedness to him.

But the EFCC opposed Maduka, contending that the suit was not a debt recovery suit and that Zamfara State was not a party to the suit.

In her verdict on the matter, Justice Olatoregun upheld the EFCC's argument and dismissed Maduka's claims.

On its own part, Linas International Limited said it was entitled to the payment of $6m from Nigeria Governors' Forum.

But Justice Olatoregun also dismissed its claim, holding that the suit was not a debt recovery suit.

Having dismissed both claims, the judge ordered the permanent forfeiture of the N1.4bn to the Federal Government.

Twitter on fire after fans of Naira Marley compared him to Fela Anikulapo-Kuti

Twitter on fire after fans of Naira Marley compared him to Fela Anikulapo-Kuti
There was outrage on Twitter Nigeria on Thursday after fans of Naira Marley compared their "idol" to Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, the late Afrobeat legend.

Shortly after the internet was inundated with news that the 'Japa' singer has been granted bail, a group of fans called 'Marlians' took to Twitter to hail the singer and eventually compared him to the legendary pioneer of Afrobeat.

Fela was once incarcerated for a period of time. While leaving the court premises, Marley took both hands up to give fans a "victory salute" — only known to the late Afrobeat legend.

This prompted the comparison as it did not go down well with a segment of Twitter users.

"May God in His entire might punish all and sundry that ever mention or compare The Great Fela to fraudster Nairamarly, imbeciles," a Twitter user wrote.

"Naira Marley case is different from that of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, only a foolish bastard will liken both. Naira Marley is a fraudster, Fela is an activist," another user wrote.

Media personality Ajike writes ‘How to detect a sensible Nigerian man on social media’

Posted: 01 Jun 2019 04:30 AM PDT

Media personality Ajike
Nigerian media personality Ajike has penned a very thorough post on how women can detect a sensible Nigerian man on social media.

According to Ajike, she has been on Tinder on and off for 5 years and has gotten quite some experience.

In her words;

'If you're like me, who is always single but in need of male company yet won't go out cos humans suck, and you need a guide on how to maneuver through the riffraffs of Tinder – then this is for you. The rest of you can stop reading at this point'.

Ok ladies, I've been on Tinder on and off for 5 years now and I've noticed a few things that can help you navigate right when swiping left or right. So, Tinder is generally filled with horny Nigerian men who have no money or weak stroke game. (No, I've never met a dude off Tinder and fucked him, it's just something about the way they act and talk that says so).

Anyways, before I get sidetracked, I'm gonna breakdown certain things you need to be on the lookout for before swiping right on that guy just 'cos he looks so cute. Seriously, you sef, have sense!

His profile pic – Please don't get carried away by the first cute pic you see when swiping! Make sure you go through ALL his pics before concluding that heart cute. I've noticed that the really fugly ones try to take selfies from odd angles so you can't see their third chin or lazy eye properly. A confident man would "own" each pic, not look like he was forced to take each one. It's very painful to look at unno.

His bio – So, you've spotted a cutie and you're about swiping right…. Wait!!! Have you checked his bio? Does it include any of the words 'cool' 'calm' 'collected'? Please, abort mission! Or is his bio bare yet his photos lack any presence? Must mean the individual lacks sense too. The worst ones are those that actually include "sapiosexual" in their bio. Like, yo! If you were truly sapiosexual your bio would be filled with smart witty quips! If his bio doesn't seem well thought out but rather has a generic feel to it, please swipe left with immediate effect.

His sense – Now you've swiped right and it matches with the cutie you've been purring over and it's time to determine whether or not he is an avid user of common sense. If he already swiped right for you beforehand you did, then you should initiate the convo. Depending on what his response is, you'd know within 10mins of chatting if he has sense or not. Fun thing I like about Tinder is that you can "unmatch" with someone if the person was an 'error' swipe.

NOTE – Don't be too eager to add them on WhatsApp. Chat for a few days on the app with them, get a sense of what they want from you (this mostly depends on what you want too tho), don't be afraid to let them know if they are being inappropriate or disrespectful. Most importantly, if it's marriage you're looking for directly – Tinder is NOT for you! Try "Christian Mingle" or "Facebook".

I must mention that there are certain accounts you just HAVE TO swipe left for. The ones with no shirt on in almost all their pics, the ones always chilling in the clubs, the ones always taking selfies in cars or by cars, the ones that look like obvious Yahoo Bois, the ones with their wives included in their picture slide, your exes of course, and most importantly any profile of a white military man issa trap! You'd be shocked at how many fraudsters you'd meet on Tinder. Some are there to defraud you of money while most just wanna defraud you of pussy! Stay sharp ladies, because most of these men are moving mad unno.

I do sincerely hope I've been able to be of some help to those who have been thinking of joining Tinder. I've made some cool friends via there but I'm yet to meet any guy off there that's worth the risk for a sexual adventure. As I said earlier, this is a Tinder guide for Nigerian women like me. If you know you're only aspiring to be like me, mbok Twitter is your dating app for now.
