UK rapper Stefflon Don has spoken on how she met her bae, Burna Boy in Ghana. The London based rapper made this known while granting an interview with Los Angeles radio station, Power 105.1. According to her, she missed her flight while on a trip to Ghana and decided to attend a show where Burna Boy performed. "I met him in Ghana. I was in Africa for a show then I missed my flight, he had a show where he performed and I went to the show and the rest is history baby. He told me I was going to be his wife and you know how boys always talk shit, but I didn't remember he said that but he told me and I was like wow," she said.  She also said that Burna Boy told her people would soon see her wearing an engagement ring. "I'm not one of them crazy bitches I know he's gonna see this interview later and say 'What da f**k' like I'm the wife. Next time I'm gonna have a ring... | Nollywood Actor Kagho dies in swimming pool in a hotel in Delta Posted: 27 Jun 2019 11:30 PM PDT A fast-rising Nollywood screenwriter, actor and director, Kagho Akpor, reportedly drowned in a swimming pool at a popular hotel in Asaba, Delta State, on Tuesday. His older brother, Idhebor, also a popular Lagos-based filmmaker, broke the news on Facebook on Wednesday. Both brothers co-owned a film production company called 'BCBLUNT Films'. The deceased was one of the sons of a veteran journalist, Caesar Kagho.  Although the circumstances surrounding his death remain sketchy, multiple reports by his friends on Facebook claim the deceased was at a movie location with other crew members when he fell into the pool. They said the director might have drowned because he could not swim. Before his death, the late filmmaker was working on a documentary, titled 'My Father's Book.' The Akpor brothers had worked together on different projects. They were both nominated as best Cinematographer and Best Script Writer at the 2014 African Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA) for their short film 'Living Funeral'. Just about one week after a chopper landed on the Benin – Ore Expressway, the company that operates the flight: Tropical Arctic Logistics Limited (TAL) said the helicopter embarked on medical evacuation for medical services to save a life.The chopper company said it got approval from the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency ( NAMA) , which endorsed the clearance for the flight saying it did not breach any aviation regulation in its bid to conduct life-saving operations in collaboration with Flying Doctors.Briefing reporters at TAL's headquarters at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, its Chief Operating Officer, Engineer Femi Adeniji said the company was yet to receive any queries or communication from Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority ( NCAA) concerning the flight, The Nation reports.Adeniji said the company was surprised at the undue outrage over reportage when TAL's helicopter was only involved in operations already gaining global traction.He clarified that the helicopter was never involved in any scheduled flight diversion.Adeniji said:" We wish to state that our mission for that flight was to save lives, we immediately swung into action and rushed to the site in record time to pick the individual who is currently recuperating in the hospital. " We are a licensed logistics company to carry out medical evacuation operations and was engaged to airlift an individual who suffered a serious health challenge while caught in traffic and needed emergency evacuation on the day in question. " The Benin – Ore road evacuation was conducted in close collaboration with security agencies , the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Police worked assiduously in trying to clear the gridlock caused by the on going road construction. The Apex Bank in Nigeria, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Thursday, June 27, said it will soon reduce the amount of Naira notes in circulation so as to make cashless policy more effective.Mr. Chuks Okoroafor, the regulatory bank branch controller in Cross River state disclosed this during a two-day CBN fair themed Promoting Financial Stability and Economic Development, Daily Trust reports.The branch controller also said that they put different initiatives in place to make more money available for people to develop their businesses.He asked entrepreneurs, farmers, and individuals to come up with good business ideas so they could access the different funds the CBN has arranged to help Nigerians.RELATED: CBN to withdraw N7.9tr dirty, mutilated notesOkoroafor mentioned that the CBN frowns so much at the way people poorly handle the naira notes, calling on everyone not to deface the notes. The CBN also said that the bank is working seriously to mop up dirty, defaced and torn naira notes in the country. A Lagos Federal High Court, has adjourned until July 1, judgment in a suit filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), seeking final forfeiture of monies found in accounts linked to a former First Lady, Patience Jonathan.The anti graft agency(EFCC), is seeking final forfeiture of about 8.4 million dollars, and N7.4billion found in the said accountsThe case which was earlier fixed for June 27 (today) has now been moved to July 1.The new date has been communicated to respective parties.The Commission, had secured an interim order for forfeiture of the sums on April 20, 2018, before Justice Mojisola Olatoregun.RELATED: Patience Jonathan 'proves' source of $8.4m, N7.4b with videos This follows a motion exparte. It joined as respondents: Patience Jonathan, Globus Integrated Services Ltd, Finchley Top Homes Ltd., Am-Pm Global Network Ltd, Pagmat Oil and Gas Ltd and Magel Resort Ltd and Esther Oba. On Oct. 29, 2018, EFCC counsel, Mr Rotimi Oyedepo, had moved his motion for final forfeiture of the sums, urging that same be finally forfeited to the Federal Government. Meanwhile, defence counsel, Messrs Ifedayo Adedipe, SAN, Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, and Mr Ige Asemudara had respectively moved their processes in opposition to the motion for final forfeiture. On Jan. 15, the court had admitted electronic evidences presented by respondent counsel, which depicted video exhibits showing various business outfits of Finchley Top Homes Ltd. and Magel Resort Ltd. The court had then adjourned for judgment. But in a judgment delivered on Feb. 28, the court had held that it found the affidavit evidences conflicting, adding that same could only be resolved by oral evidences of parties. "The deceitful plot and plan of the planners and executors of this ominously funded campaign is to tarnish the towering status; and do as much damage as possible to the character and reputation of Amaechi in the hearts, minds and eyes of members of the public, using both traditional and online (social) media. "One aspect of the reprehensible conspiracy is to unscrupulously drag the name of Amaechi and a member of his immediate family into the internal affairs and operations of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in a manner and way that is designed and intended to bring disrepute and opprobrium to his character and reputation. Talking about how the company failed in assigning "the best" staff to work on mobile, Gates, in an interview on Monday at the Economic Club in Washington, DC, said: "We knew the mobile phone would be very popular so we were doing what was called Windows Mobile. We missed being the dominant mobile operating system by a very tiny amount," CNN quoted Gates as saying at the event. "We were distracted during our antitrust trial. So far those expectations are healthy and communicated well enough, it won't be too much to ask for your partner to meet them. At least, for him to make the efforts to always do right by you. However, if you find yourself with a partner who always has a way of putting a dampener on your vibes and somehow finds a way to disappoint you at every turn, here are tips on how to handle the situation. Context and the bigger picture Be honest in your assessment of the situation; is this a regular occurrence or just a one-off situation? Also ask yourself; do I also turn up for him. While the eye-for-eye treatment is no way to relate with each other in a relationship, it still does not make sense to cry foul when you are only getting the same kind of treatment you give him. Are there acts of redemption? Sometimes, these disappointments cannot be avoided on the man's part. So what matters is how he handles the situation. His apologies will not count for much if he keeps making the same mistake, but still, before he gets to that stage where apologies no longer count; if he goes out of his way to make things right, it could be a pointer that he wants things to work. It won't be overreaching to say that partners are bound to make mistakes and offend each other every once in a while, right? It is not a big deal, really. We know love is not about perfection. It is more about navigating weaknesses and strengthening each other. But during the process of attaining that perfect understanding, there will be times when you'll likely get it wrong, when some of your actions will hurt your partner and make them sad or unhappy. Your willingness to apologise and your partner's ability to forgive will be tested at this point, and this could determine whether you ultimately make up or breakup. So, since we are here talking about apologizing; can we talk about women, and that famed reluctance to admit wrong in relationships? The very popular notion about men and women in relationships is that you could never hear them breathe the word, "I'm sorry" and would rather do some other thing, any other thing to show [subtle] remorse, rather than say the word 'I am sorry.' So often is it said that to have a successful relationship with a woman, you have to be willing and ready to apologise when she's wrong, when you're wrong, when the kids are wrong, when everything and anything is wrong... because, well, women just don't apologise. But how true is this statement though? Is there any truth to this belief? Actually, there is no evidence to prove this belief that women never apologise when they are wrong. On the contrary, what exists is an obvious existence of partners who just would never admit that they are wrong. That egoistic assumption of infallibility and a refusal to admit wrongdoing or acknowledge a partner's grief at it, is something that can be found in both men and women. The issue of seeing one's self as being above errors and never accepting mistakes can be found in both men and women. A refusal to admit wrongdoing is a behavioural defect that's not particular to any gender, and both men and women can be victims of such difficult partners. Apparently, it's nothing more than banter that women never apologise for their wrongs in relationships, and men can also be just as guilty of that. It has nothing to do with gender. Here are the wrong ways to apologize: Point out they once did the same thing It doesn't matter if this partner once did the same thing to you. When apologizing, no need to mention that. Offering a qualified apology washes away its quality. Just take responsibility and offer a remorseful one. Remind them of how good you've been That you have been good for so long does not excuse you from apologizing and doing it right when you have messed up. No matter how good you have been to your partner, the possibility of making mistakes is still there, and your partner retains the right to be hurt, even if you stepped on their toes on in a while. With a nasty tone An apology doesn't mean anything if you say it with attitude. People notice it if your words are "I'm sorry" but your tone is "screw you." The words aren't enough. Tone is everything. Laying blame on something else Accept responsibility instead of blaming it on the shitty day you had at work – people have terrible days every time and never take it out on their partners. Don't blame it on alcohol or mood or other things either. Just take responsibility for your actions. Making it out to be a smaller deal Don't try to downplay what you did. All the talking in the world won't minimize the pain you caused the other person. You can't get someone to rationalize away their feelings. If you are apologising, don't do it with the intent of making your partner feel like they are overreacting. Their hurt feelings are valid and you should acknowledge that.
