SA Rapper, AKA reveals price to perform in Nigeria

SA rapstar, AKA doesn't come cheap as he revealed the price he would receive to perform in Nigeria.

The rapper and some of his Nigerian fans including celebrities were involved in a spicy war on Twitter weeks ago due to the xenophobic attack.

Recently, a Nigerian fan expressed his desire for AKA to perform at his younger brother's birthday but feared the backlash on him.

Interestingly, AKA feared the hate and disclosed his booking fee which got some fans jaw dropping.

It would cost 6,018,250 Naira to make it happen!

The last wager task had the last 10 housemates thrilling top comedians that include Basketmouth, IK Osakioduwa and Chigul. 

The last 10 housemates of the BBNaija 2019 displayed their eccentric yet hilarious attributes as they thrill top conedians to win their last wager task for week 14.

The pack was led by the Head of House, Seyi, who introduced the guests and judges to the last housemates standing. 

From Omashola to Frodd, Mercy, Mike and Elozonam, the performances of the 10 housemates were judged rib-cracking by the comedians and master of ceremonies present as judges. 

And for putting up a sterling performance at the Comedy Show, the Pepper Dem Gang won their final Wager Task in the Big Brother Naija House.

For the task, the housemates worked as one House to deliver their best to Basketmouth, Ik Osakioduwa, Chigul, Buchi and viewers.

With Omashola acting as MC, the Housemates set the show on the road and it was nothing short of what was expected. 

From Mike's storytelling about the food hoarding in the House to Cindy, Elozonam and Mercy displaying their talent at a fake audition, the judges had a good time in the BBNaija 2019 Pepper Dem house.

The BBNaija 2019 Pepper Dem comedy night ended with Basketmouth, Chigul, Buchi and some of the cast of flatmates giving the housemates kudos for presenting a wonderful comedy show. 

Davido set to drop second track with Chris Brown next week

In the late hours of Thursday, September 26, 2019, Nigerian superstar, Davido announced that his second song with Chris Brown will drop next week. The song will be produced by Kiddominant.

The announcement was made via his Twitter account. He wrote, "New @ChrisBrown x OBO next week!!!! KIDDO KIDDO @KIDDOMINANT!!" The song will be the second major collaboration between Chris Brown and Davido.

The first one, 'Blow My Mind' has amassed over 21 million views on YouTube. The song was produced by Shizzi and co-written with Wurld. Since then, Davido has been on the IndiGOAT Tour with Chris Brown.

A few days ago, Davido was in Washington, District of Columbia, US with Chris Brown on another leg of the IndiGOAT Tour. You might remember that during his sit-down with Nigerian journalists a few weeks ago, Davido told the audience that a joint album with Chris Brown is in the works.

He also told the audience that Nigerian producer, Rexxie had produced for Chris Brown. All these are in anticipation of Davido's sophomore album, A Good Time. A day ago, Davido's manager, Asa Asika announced that he was clearing features for the album which will be fire.

Big Brother Nigeria star, Khafi Kareem, has said that contrary to widespread belief, she had not been sacked by the Metropolitan Police.

The young lady, who spoke exclusively with SaharaReporters on Wednesday, said that as a matter of fact, the authorities of the Metropolitan Police were expecting her back at her duty post.


Following her participation in the widely followed reality television show and alleged romance with fellow housemate – Gedoni – it was claimed that the Met Police were considering firing Kareem especially for not seeking approval before taking part in the show.

But clarifying those insinuations on Wednesday, she said, "No action has been taken By the Met Police authorities yet.

"In fact, they are waiting for me to come back to work. I will travel back to the United Kingdom soon and we would talk about all these things."

Before participating in the show, Kareem had said that if she wins the N30m prize money, she would host a travel show in Nigeria and also invest in charitable causes.

Organisers of the on-going Big Brother Naija reality show have announced that 'surprise eviction' will begin tonight, Thursday, September 26th as against the regular Sunday night evictions.

Currently, there are 10 housemates left in the house with barely 10-days to the end of the season and 5 of them are already nominated for possible eviction come Sunday.

The surprise evictions will go on every night till Monday, September 30th, 2019.

Recall that Frodd used his ultimate power privilege to nominate five housemates for eviction.

The housemates he nominated for eviction are: Tacha, Mike, Ike, Elozonam and Cindy.

One of the 'Danfo Driver' duo, Omeofa Oghene also known as Mad Melon is dead.

The singer died last night in a hospital in Ajegunle, Lagos, after battling an undisclosed ailment.

Music icon, Daddy Showkey who could not bear the pain of his exit, broke the sad news on Instagram on Thursday.

"What kind of sad news is this?

"What kind of sad news is this?

"Oh my God, we just lost somebody.

"I just heard about it now. I'm not happy at all, I'm not happy.

"When dem go dey tell people make dem dey hear, make dem dey hear," he said.

Mad Melon became famous with his partner Mountain Black with the 2003 hit song 'Danfo Driver'.

Sade Adu’s transgender son completes his transition from female to male

Sade Adu's transgender son, Izaak Theo Adu has shared a message to appreciate her for standing beside him all through his transformation from female to male.

This he did after spending six months recovering from phalloplasty surgery, a procedure transgender and binary people go through.

Izaak described the process as "trying, tiring, painful, emotionally exhausting, physically exhausting, uncomfortable."


Izaak wrote: "It's been a long hard road but We did it!! We are coming home!!!! Thank you for staying by my side these past 6 months Mumma. Thank you for fighting with me to complete the man I am. Lionel Messi’s victory is questioned as he receives FIFA’s “The Best Awards”

FIFA's prestigious "The Best awards" have been struck by a vote-rigging storm after claims that the ballot was rigged.

During a glitzy ceremony in Milan on Monday, September 23, Lionel Messi was crowned the best men's player of the year ahead of
Cristiano Ronaldo and Virgil van Dijk.

Now there is doubt and questions are being asked over the legitimacy of the voting with countries claiming they didn't vote for Lionel Messi.

The Egyptian football association, Sudan's coach Zdravko Logarusic and Nicaragua's captain Juan Barrera have raised concerns over the authenticity of the ballots – citing uncounted or misallocated votes.

Egypt's association have called on FIFA to explain why the votes of its national coach Shawki Ghareeb and captain Ahmed were not taken into account.

Ghareeb and El-Mohammadi are not mentioned in FIFA's publication of official votes.
The Egyptian Football Federation claim they officially sent Egypt's vote to FIFA on August 15, four days before the deadline.

Their statement 'asks FIFA why the Egyptian vote was not accepted' and goes on to confirm the EFA have opened an 'investigation' into the circumstances of this failure.

Additionally, Sudan's coach Lugarisic and Nicaragua's Juan Barrera took to social media to indicate that the votes published by FIFA, in their names, did not reflect their actual choices.

Lugarisic says his first choice was Egypt's Mohamed Salah but FIFA's voting document showed Messi as his first selection.

Barrera is also adamant that he did not vote for Messi as claimed by FIFA.
'I did not vote for Messi. I was surprised to be on the list of captains who voted for Messi and there is no explanation how it appeared there,' Barrera is reported to have said.

Dangote Reveals How Bill Gates Impacted On Him Positively

Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote speaks on the positive impact that on his life after he came in physical contact with Bill Gates.

Dangote stated that Bill Gates is a wonderful billionaire who turned him into a different person.

He said this on Wednesday as a discussant at the 2019 Goalkeepers' event hosted by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in New York, US.

"When I started my foundation in 1994, I never realised we had this massive challenge in the health sector," Dangote said.

"Really, it was mind-boggling when we had this agreement to collaborate with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and that really opened my eyes to realise that there are a lot of challenges in health.

"At that time I didn't have the opportunity of meeting Bill but meeting Bill changed me into a different person. This is somebody that has nothing to do with us in Africa or Nigeria but he is putting his money and his soul into everything.

"He is very committed to helping humanity and that really surprises me a lot and I realised that he is a simple person and I never knew Bill would be this simple. He is a very soft-spoken guy and kind-hearted."

The industrialist said he hopes to give out a chunk of his $9.2 billion wealth like Gates sometime in the future.

"It is very difficult to find people like Bill in this world. Bill, we are very grateful and I can assure you that with my association with Bill, my only prayer is that in the next few years, I will try and give my chunk of wealth to charity," he said.

Gates, however, in response thanked Dangote for linking him with governors in the north.

The American said without Dangote he would not have been able to chat with the likes of Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto and five other northern governors.

Khafi and Gedoni UNFOLLOW each other on Instagram

Gedoni and Khafi were linked together when they were both in the Big Brother Naija house and their first split was a month after Gedoni was evicted from the house.


About a week ago, Khafi also left the Big Brother house on eviction and now it looks as though Gedoni and Khafi have unfollowed each other on Instagram raising speculation they have separated.

Gedoni and Khafi  have also not been seen together since Khafi left the Big Brother house last week.

#BBNaija2019:NBC DG Caution BBNaija show Against Unwholesome Content Broadcast

The prevalence of hate speeches in Nigeria is becoming more worrisome, especially at this time of a tensed political atmosphere.

The DG NBC, Mallam Is'haq Modibbo Kawu held a press conference where he spelt out how his Commission have been dealing with the menace in the past few months.

This is the Second Quarter Broadcast Stations' Monitoring Profile covering the period from April to June, 2019.

Coming shortly after the National and State Elections in the First Quarter of the year, the report indicates that though there is a drop in breaches related to hateful, abusive and inflammatory broadcast, which peaked during the elections, and for which as many as 45 stations were fined, the 2nd Quarter indicates that the trend has continued among certain stations, especially in political programmes. Therefore 20 stations were fined in the 2nd Quarter, for breaching provisions of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code on Hate speech.

Other breaches were in the area of Obscene and Vulgar Lyrics- a total of 10 stations were fined for infractions related to use of Vulgar Lyrics and Obscene Content. It is worth mentioning that the Program Big Brother NAIJA was cautioned against unwholesome content on its broadcast.
Use of unsubstantiated and misleading claims by advertisers especially Trado medic advertising, also dropped significantly from the last quarter, but a total of 30 stations were fined for infractions related to same.

Mallam Kawu make it clear that Ten (10) broadcast stations were fined for breaches related to station announcers turning themselves to advertisers, hypers and promoters of product.

According to the DG , the Commission in their highly profile investigation, observed that Kaduna Zone recorded highest in obscenity with 36.53% followed by Abuja Zone with 17.31% and Uyo Zone came third with 15.38%.

In Hate Speech, Abuja Zone topped the chart with 19.21% followed by Kaduna zone with 18.22% and Maiduguri Zone came third with a record of 15.27% while the least in hate speech was Ibadan zone with 6.89.

In Unprofessional broadcasting, three zones topped the chart with the same percentages. Kaduna zone, Sokoto zone and Uyo topped the chart with
20.00% each followed by Jos zone with 3.85% while Ibadan and Benin recorded lowest with 2.95% and 3.44%.

However, the DG NBC clear accused many stations in Nigeria using unverifiable Claims for their various programs. According to him, Ibadan zone recorded highest in this with 25.33, followed by Abuja zone with 13.33% while Jos zone ahd Kaduna zones came 3rd with 12.00% each and Sokoto zone and Uyo recorded the lowest with 2.67% each. And in Advertisement, Abuja zone recorded highest with 24.43% followed by Enugu zone with 16.40% while Maiduguri zone recorded lowest with 1.53%.

However, in technical breach in broadcasting, Maiduguri zone recorded highest with 31.81%, followed by Benin zone and Sokoto zone recorded same scores 22.73% each and Abuja zone, Enugu zone and Jos zone recorded lowest with 4.54% each.

The Commission under the able leadership of Mallam Ishaq Modibbo Kawu as continue to sanction stations that breaches the Commission code. The Commission slams different fines on ailing station. Here, Abuja zone recorded highest with 47.17%, Ibadan zone came second with 15.09% and Benin came 3rd with 13.22% while the lowest was Enugu Zone with 1.89%.
And the DG NBC also caution stations about lots of pattern behaviors which is a threat to our democracy and the rule of law.
