Photos: Toyin Lawani claims John Legend’s fashion designer stole her design

Popular Fashion designer and stylist, Toyin Lawani took to social media to accuse Singer, John Legend's stylist of stealing her design.

She took to her Instagram page to share a photo of the singer in a look alike version of one of the outfits that she made for some Nigerian celebrities, the fashion designer went on full rampage against her fellow fashion designers.


She pointed out that some designers carry out the offensive act because there are no laws that help creative designers like her.

Cee-c replies Koko and others criticizing Nigerians that are mourning Kobe Bryant

Ceec has taken a swipe on her fellow ex-BBNaija housemate, Koko, and many others who have criticised Nigerians that are mourning the tragic death of NBA Legend, Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna.

Koko in a post shared on her Instagram page this afternoon, described Nigerians mourning Kobe as hypocrites.


Ceec says it is ridiculous that in a time such as this people still feel the need to "spew. negativity."

Omashola speaks about meeting Kobe Bryant at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa

Big Brother Naija's Omashola has said he hasn't been able to comment on the death of Kobe Bryant because he's been in tears, considering the fact that he's met the basketball legend in person.

He narrated to his followers how he met Kobe at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. He said he was working in a club as a waiter and his boss asked him to attend to the people at a table.


On getting there, he saw that Kobe Bryant was one of those there and he asked if he could get a picture. He said Kobe declined to take a picture but offered to sign his autograph.

He added that he kept the paper with the autograph for a long time until it began to fade.


Khloe calls out Nigerians mourning Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna

BBNaija reality TV star, Khloe has slammed all those paying tributes to Kobe Bryant after the former LA Lakers basketball player died in a helicopter crash.

As soon as the news of his death was announced, many fans, friends, family and well wishes took to social media to share their condolences and also pay tributes to him. Many Nigerian celebrities also joined in the trend.

However, Khloe is not too happy about the way the NBA legend is being celebrated, especially when the other people in the helicopter crash are being treated as if they were not even onboard.

She also slammed those who are celebrating him and acting as if they knew him when they never for once watched his games.


Khloe also recalled how she called for help for Tarkwa Bay residents in Lagos who were last week sent packing from the area by security operatives.

According to her, she got no help from the same people paying tribute to Kobe Bryant and his legacy, who ought to have helped the Tarkwa Bay residents as a way of building a legacy for themselves.

AKA speaks on Burna Boy not winning Grammy Award

Rapper AKA has reacted to the Grammy Award loss of Afrobeats singer Burna Boy.

The 62nd Grammy Awards which held last night in Los Angeles, California, saw Burna Boy and his African Giant alb nominated in the category for Best World Music Album.

The category was won by fellow African and legendary singer, Angelique Kidjo, with her album Ceila.

As soon as the news broke, trolls stormed AKA's Twitter page to hear what he will say about the loss Burna Boy suffered.

Recall that Burna Boy and AKA went at each other over the xenophobic attacks inflicted on Nigerians by South Africans in their country.


With the Grammies over and Burna Boy going home, many expect AKA to express excitement.

He tweeted:

"I never hated Burna Boy. All I did was stand up for my country. I think it's time to move past this narrative. It's tired. Like I said, even a nomination is a huge achievement".


He added: "What you should have done is focus on the positive instead of thinking about me and my country. In any case, Burna is still a champion. We still consider him a winner".

Skales Shocks Television Host says “I’m Getting Married Soon”

Toke Makinwa replies those criticizing people mourning Kobe Bryant who they’ve never met

A great number of people all over the world have put up posts to mourn NBA legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and the other people who died in the helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.

However, some critics opposed the overwhelming show of pain, especially coming from those who never knew him personally and who didn't celebrate him while he was alive. They accused those mourning him of hypocrisy and trying to do things because it's trending.


Responding, Toke Makinwa, wrote:

"Before you criticize people for mourning a legend they haven't met or paying their respect to Kobe, before you comment foolishly, think about your life, your work, your message to the world and hope that when it's your turn to go the world will feel your departure."


Court Sentences Maryam Sanda to Death by Hanging for Killing her Husband

Maryam Sanda has been sentenced to death by hanging after Justice Yusuf Halilu of the Federal High Court, Abuja found her guilty of killing her husband, Bilyamin Mohammed Bello in 2017.

According to Premium Times, the judge dismissed Sanda's statement that her husband fell on a broken Shisha pot during a fight on the ill-fated day as a "smokescreen to deceive the court."

He said available evidence proved that the accused stabbed her husband with a kitchen knife with intent to "kill". Earlier, the judge suspended the proceedings for five minutes following the drama that ensued after the conviction was passed. Maryam Sanda fled the dock immediately the judge convicted her. However, court officials and prisons officials dragged her back into the dock.

Bilyamin Bello was stabbed to death with bottle in 2017 by his wife, Maryam who was subsequently charged with culpable homicide in a two-count charge.

Nollywood Mourns, As Suspected Herdsmen Bandits Murder Up and Rising Actor

Odunlade Adekola and Ibrahim Chatta, both Nollywood Actors took to their Instagram pages to mourn Juwon, fast rising actor, who was murdered by four armed bandits made up of three  Fulani herdsmen and a Yoruba.

According to Ibrahim Chatta who wrote: "He was young and promising, full of HOPE. Juwon was working in my industry as a continuity manager and a driver trying to make ends meet. He was attacked and murdered today by the three Fulani and a Yoruba armed bandit while driving a known female Actor (Tooyosi Adesanya) from Ilorin. Adieu Juwon."

Odunlade on his part, sharing the photo of the deceased actor wrote: "Rest in peace."

The world, especially the NBA has been thrown into a state of mourning following the sudden death of NBA legend, Kobe Bryant who was killed in a fiery helicopter crash in California today that also claimed four other lives, including his 13 year old daughter.

According to multiple media reports, the 41-year-old was on board with at least three other people when the private helicopter went down for an unknown reason.

Emergency responders got to the scene as quickly as possible but no one survived the crash, police said.

He is survived by his wife and 3 children: Natalia and Bianca and newborn Capri, who was born in June 2019. Kobe is considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time and played for 20 years with the Los Angeles Lakers.

He was a 5-time NBA champion.

REVEALED: The helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and 7 others happened behind Kourtney Kardashian’s house

It has been revealed that a total of 9 people died in the helicopter crash that claimed the life of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter.

Kobe's private Sikorsky S-76 crashed into a hillside in Calabasas, California, near the home of Kourtney Kardashian.

The helicopter immediately caught fire after coming down at around 10am on Sunday morning, January 26. All onboard died.


Flight data shows the aircraft appeared to get into trouble above the LA Zoo where it circled at a very low altitude and air traffic control audio suggests conditions were worsening in the run up to the crash.

Initial reports claimed five people had been killed, but the death toll was raised to nine. The dead include Kobe, 41, his daughter Gianna, 13, the pilot, named as Ara Zobayan, John Altobelli – a baseball coach at Orange County College -, his wife Keri and daughter Alyssa. Girls basketball coach Christina Mauser was also killed in crash.


The occupants of the ill-fated chopper were said to have been headed to Mamba Academy – which Kobe Bryant founded – in Thousand Oaks for a youth tournament involving Kobe's daughter Gigi and her teammate Alyssa.

The deaths came as a shock and the world is still reeling from it, with most people taking to social media to pay tributes and express their pain at the loss.

Instagram comedian, Mr Jollof – Kobe Bryant killed himself by buying a Helicopter

Instagram comedian Mr Jollof has pointed negative attention to himself after posting a video on Instagram where mocked Late Kobe Bryant for killing himself by purchasing a helicopter.

The comments didn't go down well with many people on social media because it was mean and insensitive.

Ogbeni Dipo wrote;

"Mr Jollof is just ignorant and unexposed. Claims Kobe and Leicester city owner both bought what killed them – their lifestyle killed them. I wonder how he gets to Lagos from Delta state. He made that video inside a car too."

A Human Resource expert identified as Oyinkansola Alabi has revealed that she did not want Grammy nominee, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy to win the awards which held yesterday.

Stating that she is a fan of the musician and totally loves Burna Boy's diligence, she was "scared of his attitude towards fame and money."


In her words;

"Even though I love his diligence, I really didn't want him to win. I thought the Grammy award would ruin him. I was scared of his attitude towards fame and money.

I however, think that his real award is the global recognition and the fact that he contested with a legend. So congratulations, Oluwaburna, may God increase your greatness and may you find him."


It may be recalled that Beninese singer-songwriter, Angelique Kidjo on Sunday, beat Nigeria's Burna Boy, Altin Gün, Nathalie Joachim, Spektral Quartet, others to win the Grammy Award in the World Best Music Album category.

Former US President, Barack Obama has joined the rest of the world in mourning the tragic death of Basketball legend, Kobe Bryant and his 13-year old daughter, Gianna.

Kobe and Gianna both died in a helicopter crash on Sunday, January 26th 2020.

Obama, who was deeply hurt by the news, took to his social media page to mourn their demise, writing;

Following the death of Legendary American Basketballer, Kobe Bryant who died alongside his daughter Gianna Bryant and 7 other people in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. People all around the world including Nigerians have taken to social media to mourn the tragic loss.

Many Nigerians have taken to their social media page to mourn the legend with photos, quotes and videos. It seems former Big Brother house mater Thelma is not buying the idea.
