Zlatan Ibile: I got N45k from my first show, now I receive N15m and above

Zlatan Ibile has revealed how much he made from a show at the start of his career and the amount he currently receives to perform now.

The founder of Zlatan Records took to his Twitter account to reveal that he got N45,000 from his first ever show. He also made it a point of duty to state that he currently makes N15 million and above from shows.

Davido speaks on beef between Nigeria and South Africa

Davido has reacted to the online beef between Nigeria and South Africa which was sparked by xenophobic attacks.

Nigerians in South Africa were attacked by people in the country who said they were fed up with their activities in the country.

Some videos showed large mobs attacking some people believed to be Nigerians whose shops and business were looted and burnt.

"We need more unity in Africa. Even with the things that happened online with South Africa and Nigeria, I feel like it was just hurting a lot of people in between. We've been brothers and sisters for song long", Davido said during a recent interview and he preached more unity, according to Sahiphopmag.

Alleged car theft: Court grants Iyanya N20m bail

An Igbosere High Court in Lagos today granted bail in the sum of N20 million to a musician, Iyanya Mbuk, popularly known as Iyanya, over alleged car theft.

Iyanya, is facing a count charge of stealing.

The charge was preferred by the Special Fraud Unit (SFU) of the Nigeria Police.

Justice Mobolanle Okikiolu-Ighile, while granting Iyanya bail, said: "I have perused the affidavit and the counter-affidavit of the parties; there is a prima facie case of criminal conversion against him.

"However, there is nothing to show that the defendant will interfere with the proceedings of this case and nothing to show that he will jump bail if granted.

"Bail is, therefore, granted to the defendant in the sum of N20 million with one surety in like sum".

She ordered that the surety should have a landed property in Lagos and possess its certificate of occupancy.

She also ordered that the bail should be perfected within the next seven days "otherwise the bail shall be revoked".

The judge adjourned the case until May 27 for trial.

Adekunle Gold reacts to the treatment offered to the “repentant Boko Haram” members

Nigerian Artiste, Adekunle Gold has sarcastically said his mind, following the recent development on the welfare of repentant members of Boko Haram.

With reports gathered, Some "repentant" Boko Haram members who surrendered to Nigerien troops, have returned to Maiduguri with their wives and children.

Major General Bamidele Shafa who is the coordinator of the Federal Government Safe Corridor programme, arrived Maiduguri airport in a military aircraft with the repentant terrorists and some soldiers.

Shafa disclosed that the Nigerien government contacted the Nigerian government after the former Boko Haram members laid down their arms.


Receiving the returnees, Borno State's Commissioner of Women Affairs, Zuwaira Gambo said the former Boko Haram members will be provided with psychosocial support, food, cloth and some form of education and skills acquisition.

The "Jore" crooner was having none of this and thus prompted him to Tweet.

Etinosa apologizes to Apostle Suleiman after attacking him over his comment about bleaching

Yesterday Wednesday February 26th, Nollywood actress, Idemudia Etinosa, took a swipe at the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman over his recent comment about bleaching.

Etinosa dragged the clergyman after he said people who bleach end up smelling and die of diseases such as cancer. Etinosa who released a video few weeks ago promoting bleaching, took offence to the words of the clergyman.

In a post she shared on her IG page, Etinosa stated that there is no relationship between bleaching and the kingdom of God.

She also insinuated that the Pastor's alleged "side piece" also bleaches.

Etinosa has retraced her steps. This morning, she took to her IG page to apologise to the clergyman.

The reality star who got married to her fellow reality star, TeddyA, explained that pregnancy changes women.

According to the 30 year old reality star, she does not believe how she looks now because pregnancy has changed her looks.

About a week ago, a Nigerian journalist shared a video on his IG page accusing Davido of assaulting him at the airport.

The journalist alleged that he met the singer at the airport and was so excited that he tried taking a picture with him but was stopped as Davido allegedly hit him on his chest.

His mum, Wunmi Praise, who is a gospel artiste, has released a video calling out Davido for allegedly attacking her son.


In the video, the angry mum asked Davido to go and learn manners from other atists. She stated she will never forgive the singer for disgracing her son.

On the latest episode of MTV Base Behind The Story, popular media personality and MTV Base VJ, Ehiz Okoeguale, sat with host, Sammy Walsh, to talk about his background, relationships and how winning MTV Base VJ Search changed the course of his life.

Ehiz, who is one of the top on-screen personalities in Africa got real and personal like never before as he shared details about his life. The last child in a family of five, Ehiz was born and raised in Ikeja, Lagos State, where he completed both his primary and secondary school education before graduating with a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Benin.

In the episode, Ehiz, who used to go by the name Super slim or Special slim, admitted that while in secondary school, he was actively involved in entertainment and used to host events like the social nights, picnics, end of the year party, school dance competitions and other events.


The VJ also gave fans more than a glimpse of his life before he won the MTV base VJ search and how his life has changed since 2013. In this edition of 'Behind The Story', Ehiz, revealed among other things, that he was a radio presenter in Abuja and had no intention of becoming a professional TV presenter. Davido's fiancee, has reacted to her man's plans to get her pregnant for the second time out of wedlock.

We earlier reported that the Yoruba born singer revealed in the comment section of Chioma's pot that he is going to get her pregnant again despite "owing" her bride price.

The chef posted a gorgeous photo of herself and captioned it:

Blessing Okoro lists ways she was blessed after claiming Onye Eze’s house as her own

In May 2019, Blessing Okoro made headlines after tried to claim businessman, Onye Eze's house as her own. But she says it all ended up being a blessing to her.

The Instagram relationship blogger was arrested on May 27, 2019, and placed in handcuffs by Onye Eze after a long week of her releasing videos/photos from his newly completed house to prove to her followers that she's a homeowner.

The incident left the "Break Up or Make Up" founder humiliated at the time and she released a teary video where she hinted at suicide.

However, she rose from the humiliation. To shut down critics trying to remind her of her past, Blessing listed all the ways her life has improved since the incident.

It began with her posting about trolls who try to shame her for lying.

She wrote:

And Blessing responded:

"After the lie I got verified, I had a visible office, with 7 staffs, after the lie I met personalities, became global, made up to 30 million naira .

Coronavirus: 6 major precautionary tips to avoid contracting viral disease

As Nigeria records its first case of coronavirus, the Nigerian government has put in place measures to ensure it does not spread further.

The federal ministry of health has released 6 major tips on how to avoid contracting the viral disease.

The coronavirus is formally referred to as COVID-19 and it is perceived to be more hazardous than many other viruses before it because of the way it spreads. The death rate is equally alarming.


Read the tips below by the ministry of health:

1. Regularly and thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water, and use alcohol-based hand sanitiser.

2. Maintain at least one and a half metres (5 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.

3. Persons with persistent cough or sneezing should stay home or keep a social distance, but not mix in-crowd.

4. Make sure you and people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene, meaning cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or into your sleeve at the bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.

5. Stay home if you feel unwell with symptoms like fever, cough and difficulty in breathing. Please call NCDC toll free number which is available day and night, for guidance- 0800-970000-10. Do not engage in self-medication.

6. Stay informed on the latest developments about COVID-19 through official channels on TV and Radio.

Citizens have also been urged not to abuse social media and indulge in spreading misinformation about the situation that causes fear and panic.

First case of coronavirus confirmed in Nigeria!

The federal ministry of health has confirmed the first case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) case in Nigeria.

The case, which was confirmed on Thursday, February 27 is the first to be reported in the country since the beginning of the outbreak the viral disease in China in January.

The case is an Italian citizen who works in Nigeria and returned from Milan, Italy to Lagos, Nigeria on Tuesday, February 25.


A statement signed by the minister of health, Dr Osagie Enahire, said the case was confirmed by the virology laboratory of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.

"The patient is clinically stable, with no serious symptoms, and is being managed at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba, Lagos," the statement noted.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has immediately activated its national emergency operations centre to work closely with Lagos state health authorities to respond to this case and implement firm control measures.

"I wish to assure all Nigerians that have we have been beefing up our preparedness capabilities since the first confirmation of cases in China, and we will use all the resources made available by the government to respond to this case," the minister stated.

A Ugandan woman is trending after she granted a TV interview where she claimed she got her American accent from God.

Victoria Aiko, a Ugandan businesswoman, was a guest on Urban TV.

After introducing herself, the host was surprised that she's Ugandan and asked how she got her American accent and Aiko said she got it suddenly from God one morning.

She said: "God does extraordinary stuff, right? So I just woke one morning and the accent just came on and I was like 'okay' and people started saying 'Hey what's up with it?' And I was like 'I don't know!' because I did not even realise I was speaking like this… so its God."

When asked about her relationship with God, she said she got born again in 2003.

It all started when Ebuka commented on the ongoing trial of former PDP National spokesperson, Olisa Metuh, who was today, found guilty of money laundering.

Ebuka in his comment, said the whole trial of Olisa Metuh, has been one intriguing series.

Olisa Metuh's entire trial has just been one intriguing mini series".

Apparently displeased that he had an opinion on the case, Twitter user @JARGOFILS asked the media personality to focus on being a TV host, and Ebuka responded, stating that he will do whatever pleases him.

Former presidential aspirant Adamu Garba, says men with only one wife “are living a half life”

Adamu Garba, a former presidential aspirant on the platform of the APC, has said men who have only one wife are "missing a whole lot" and are "living a half life".

He said this while reacting to a video of a man being amused by his wives.

"A man and his two wives," the caption on the video reads.

Adamu Garba reacted to the video, writing: "If your life is centred around one wife, my brother you are living a half life & missing a whole lot.
