Nigerian footballer Mikel Obi plays down reports that he will return to Chelsea as a coach

John Obi Mikel has played down reports that he is set to return to Chelsea in a coaching position after reports surfaced that he could join Frank Lampard's backroom team.

The ex-Nigeria international is still playing for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super League, having spent a brief stint with Middlesborough in the Championship.

Mikel has become a core part of Huseyin Cimcir's side this season, and at 32, he doesn't appear to be in the position to hang up his boots yet.

That left him even more surprised by reports in the media that he had a been offered a job by Chelsea, a club he won nine trophies with and made 372 appearances for.

"To be honest, I have no idea where this story came from", Mikel told Sabah of the rumours.

"I was surprised when I saw the news because neither me nor my club had a meeting with Chelsea about becoming a coach.

"Chelsea is, of course, my home, but the reports aren't true."

The two very close friends parted ways years back after a disagreement they have both refused to air even to the press, no matter how hard they try to know. But last year, the two made up, and have continued to show how real friendship should be. In fact, they have been documenting their friendship online, which has made a lot of their colleagues jealous.

Their fans have also not been able to have enough of them, hailing and saying theirs is the true definition of friendship.

Funke first flew to Dubai, and now Eniola has joined her. While on the flight, she tweeted saying she can't wait to see Funke Akindele, her gist partner.

Trending: 240 days rain in Lagos to begin March 19

The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources in Lagos, Tunji Bello, has stated that it is likely for rain to fall for 240 days or more in the state, beginning from March 19, 2020.

The Commissioner made this revelation at a news conference on the 2020 Seasonal Rainfall Predictions and Prevention of Flooding in Lagos, held at the Ministry's Conference room on Tuesday, Premium Times reports.

He said it is necessary to inform Lagos residents about the 2020 rainfall prediction by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET).

"Seasonal Rainfall Prediction (SRP) is to allay fears of residents and prepare them ahead for the likely consequences of the rain,"

"Lagos Island is expected to have a rainfall onset date of March 19, with an error margin of three days, while its cessation date is expected to be November 26.

"It is also expected that Lagos Island will have about 252 days of rainfall and about 1,714 millimeters of rainfall over the year.

"It can be deduced that Lagos State shall experience a rainy season of 240-270 days, while the maximum annual rainfall is predicted to be 1,750 millimeters."

Mr Bello explained that residents staying in coastal areas will witness flash-floods which he describes as 'natural', but it will disappear in a matter of time if the drains are clean.

68 year old married man slumps, dies in his lover’s house in Lagos

A 68-year-old married man, Abolade Saka, has died after he slumped in the home of his mistress, Kikelomo Adeyi, situated on Michael Ajanaku street in the Ipaja area of Lagos state.

According to reports, Abolade who is a petroleum tanker driver, had gone to spend some time with Kikelomo on February 29th.

He later went into the bathroom to freshen up and as soon as he came out of the bathroom, he reportedly slumped. After he slumped, Abolade was said to have complained of severe body pain, and while plans were being made to take him to the hospital, he gave up the ghost.

Friends of the deceased said he suffered from appendicitis and complained of the pain he felt. The friends mentioned that the wife and children of the deceased reside in Oyo state and that it was after his death that they discovered he had not visited them for over six months.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Lagos state police command Bala Elkana, said the remains of the deceased had been deposited in the Lagos Island General Hospital morgue and an autopsy would be carried out on it soon to ascertain the cause of his death.

Actor Tom Hanks says he and his wife, actress Rita Wilson, have been diagnosed with coronavirus.

In a statement posted to Instagram, Hanks said he and his wife were traveling in Australia when they were tested after exhibiting symptoms like tiredness, body aches, chills and "slight fevers."

"Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks' will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?" he wrote.

Floyd Mayweather’s Baby Mama, Josie Harris, Found Dead at Home

Floyd Mayweather's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his three children, was found dead at her home Monday night just outside Los Angeles.

40-year-old Josie Harris was pronounced dead after being discovered in a car outside her home in Valencia, CA, according to TMZ Sports.

Sheriff's deputies had been called to the home just after 9:30 PM and pronounced Harris dead at the scene. As for now, officials are handling the case as a death investigation and not considering Harris' death a homicide.

The LA County Sheriff's Department confirms an active death investigation at the home of Josie Harris, the mother of three of Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s children, following the report that Harris was found dead inside her car last night, around 10 pm Pacific.

Davido has revealed why most rich kids end up not having money and according to him, it is because they don't feel the need to work hard.

The singer in a new interview said that he was really broke when growing up. He stated that his hard work brought him this far and it was not because of his father's influence.

Davido also recounted that his mum died when he was just 11years old and as at then, he knew what he needed to do. He said the normal cycle for rich kids was to go to school, graduate and work for their parents but he had to break that and hustle for his own money.

BBNaija star, Frodd shares video of himself and mom doing flip the switch challenge

The latest celebrity to take part in the flip the switch challenge is BBNija star Chukwuemeka Okoye popularly known as Frodd and his mother.

The flip the switch challenge started on the social-networking app TikTok and it involves two people instantly switching outfits to Canadian rapper Drake's song, Nonstop.

Many Nigerians including celebrities have been partaking in the challenge. Recently, Pepper Dem star Frodd and his mother did the challenge and he posted it on his social media page.

While most of the people who partook in the challenge share dancing videos, Frodd and his mother's video was quite different.

In the video he shared on his Instagram page, Frodd's mother was first spotted dancing and acting as if she was applying makeup on her face. She was dressed in a polka dots dress while Frodd, who held the phone, was in a native outfit with a cap to match.

When the switch was flipped, the roles were reversed and the former housemate was seen in his mother's dress, applying makeup on his face, while his mother was seen in her son's outfit, holding the phone.

According to the businessman, he partook in the challenge to celebrate International Women's Day.

Rapper, Yung6ix's former DJ, Baddest DJ Timmy, has finally apologised to comedian Akpororo, 3 years after he called his wife a 'sex slave.'

Recall trouble started in 2017 after comedian Akpororo made a joke out of Yung6ix for spending N3.9million on drinks at a night club. Yung6ix, who didn't find the joke funny took to Twitter to shade the comedian before his then official DJ, Baddest DJ Timmy dragged the heck out of Akpororo for making a joke about Yung6ix.

At that time, the DJ posted a video on IG where he went as far as alleging that the comedian's wife was a "sex slave" before they got married and that she had "five abortions for a dancer known as PD"

Taking to Instagram this evening, Baddest DJ Timmy, who no longer works with Yung6ix wrote an apology, where he noted that the disrespectful things he said about Akpororo's wife were all fabricated.

He wrote:

"I want to use this medium to tender my reserved apology to Akpororo & his family. I have always wanted to do this but I NEVER had a chance to.
"I was Young, stupid & Blindly loyal that is why I was fighting another man's battle. I thought doing that was a sign of loyalty but I was just plain stupid.

"Let it be on record that all through my stay in Leadcity university, I never met your wife and everything I said back then was a BIG LIE.

"I hope this episode will teach others a lesson that KARMA Is real. Allow people fight their battles and stop with the Blind loyalty. I am your Big fan and will continue to be a fan. May God lift and uphold you now and forever (Amen)."

Mount Zion movies actor, Hassan Doyin has reacted after he became a trend on social media when people recalled how his face scared them as kids.

A lady shared a picture of his to reveal that his face scared her a lot when she was a kid watching a movie he starred in 20 years ago.

Reacting to the mentions he got and the comments that followed the lady's post which all expressed similar experience, Hassan Doyin shared:

Few weeks ago, Nigerian producer, Sarz collaborated with Wurld for the critically-acclaimed EP, "I Like Girls With Trobul". One of the biggest songs on the EP is, "Mad".

On March 11, 2020, Nigerian singer, Wurld posted a video of Award-winning American rappers, Cardi B and her husband, Offset dancing to his song, "Mad".

Some fans say it is likely Tonto Dikeh's estranged husband, Mr. Olakunle Churchill is th father of Tboss' beautiful baby girl.

Recall that the second runner-up in 2017 Big Brother Naija reality show, Tokunbo Ajayi, also known as T-boss has of recent times been linked to different celebrities including Uti Nwachukwu.

This was triggered by Tboss recent photos of 'My baby and I'.
