Salary
$28.53 to $37.08 per hour

Summary
The work involves economic data gathering, analysis, and interpretation on smaller projects and clearly defined segments of larger projects. The incumbent takes a proactive approach to understanding and meeting the needs of internal and external customers, and consistently delivers high-quality products and services on time.

Responsibilities
The duties may include, but are not limited to:

Evaluating economic impacts, including using appropriate methodologies, determining relevant data requirements, collecting and analyzing information, and presenting the results professionally.
Analyzes the benefits and costs of Agency program and policy options that are not directly related to rulemaking.
Assists staff by contributing to socioeconomic analyses for environmental assessments and environmental impact statements, in support of APHIS' environmental compliance obligations.
Assists senior economists in developing performance measures to evaluate program efficiency and effectiveness.
Prepares and delivers oral and written presentations on analyses conducted.
As a participant in multidisciplinary projects, applies appropriate analytical approaches and prepares smaller-scale economic analyses of Agency issues.
