Singer, Pasuma – Why I Supported My Daughter To Join US Navy

After stirring up reactions with the cheering news of his daughter joining the US Navy, popular fuji singer, Wasiu Alabi, aka Pasuma, in a recent interview has revealed why he allowed his daughter become a Navy personel.

During the week Pasuma took to Instagram to post a picture of his daughter wearing military fatigues. He added the caption, "Congratulations to me. My girl, Opeyemi, is now a Navy (personnel) in the United States of America. Congrats my dearest daughter. You always make me and your mum proud. May God guide you in your chosen career.''

When Sunday Scoop reached out to the beloved singer, he maintained that he was very proud of his daughter achievement. He said, "I am proud of her. Any parent would be proud to know that their child has a mindset of service.


"I supported her decision from the beginning. She had been talking about joining the US Navy for some years, so I was not surprised when she eventually enlisted."


The singer also stated that even if his daughter indicated interest in joining the Nigerian Army, he would not have discouraged her. He added, "As a Nigerian, I have the utmost respect for the men and women of the Nigerian military for the selfless work they do. The level of insecurity in the country may initially make any parent feel unsure about their child joining the military. However, there is the risk of danger in almost everything we do in life. Pilots take risks; driving a car or crossing a road also has risks. Being in the military in America too involves risks, so I would not have discouraged her."

Speaking on the influence that the late fuji musician, Barrister (whose 10th death anniversary was recently celebrated), had on his career, Pasuma said, "Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister influenced and has continued to influence many fuji musicians, including me. He consolidated the sounds and melodies of 'were' music into what we now know as 'fuji'. The type of influence Barrister had on me and my music was similar to that of a father and son. He will forever be remembered as one of the artistic legends of Africa."

The self-acclaimed 'Oganla' also noted that during festive seasons, which were his busiest periods, he always prioritised his family and would go home to spend time with them after his performances. He also urged his fans new projects from his Pasuma Wonder Organisation and Wasbar Records.

Why Davido and Burna Boy Fought In Ghana

Hours after the reports of top Nigerian music stars; Davido and Burna Boy exchanging blows at a nightclub in Ghana made the rounds, the alleged cause of their clash has been revealed.

A viral video footage had surfaced online showing the moment an agitated Davido charged towards Burna Boy as onlookers watched.

Davido and Burna Boy went physical yesterday in Twist Night Club which caused a lot of Ghanaians and music lovers to wonder what their problems are.

Hours after their fight, many fans have been wondering the cause of their clash.

Well, Nigerian music producer turned blogger, Samklef, has revealed the cause of the fight between Davido and Burna Boy.

Samklef made a disclosure that he had reliable information that, Davido was in the club and got approached by Burna Boy who wasn't aware Davido was at where he was heading towards.

The information further revealed that Davido's boys approached Burna Boy to send him back which caused the latter' boys to retaliate thereby causing a fiasco.

However, calm was later restored after the fight but most people went home.

Davido Allegedly Cheats On Chioma With Two Women In Enugu

Nigerian singer David Adeleke aka Davido is in the news again for a not so juicy reasons. OBO as he is fondly called has been accused of cheating on his wife to be and mother of his son (Ifeanyi), Chioma.

The couple allegedly got into a big fight over the cheating scandal.

According to IG blogger, Cutie Julls, Chioma had a big fight with her potential husband upon hearing that Davido cheated on her with two women during a recent trip to Enugu.
 
The blogger wrote;

Hmmm so when Papa Ifeanyi arrived from Enugu eehn, there was big fight o. This happened just before he left for Ghana

It took David's lawyer to restore some small peace between the couple before David jet out to Ghana.

Let's pray for Mama and Papa Ifeanyi. No wonder peole thay saw David earlier on in Ghana said the way he was riding a motor bike carelessly on the streets of Accra yesterday, looked like someone who was either high or troubled.

Nigerians react as Singer, Tekno Announces He Needs A Cook, Offers To Pay Over N300K

With the high rate of unemployment and underemployment in the country, Nigerians have stormed micro-blogging platform Twitter to bid for a 'chef/cook' job made available by singer and music producer Tekno Miles.

Tekno Miles, whose real name is Augustine Miles Kelechi, took to Twitter to reveal he is searching for a cook, as he added a bumper pay to the job.

Many Nigerians have shown interest into the job online.

The 'Pana' crooner made a call for a new cook, but many didn't take the post serious, not until he revealed the monthly pay.

According to the singer, he intends to pay any qualified person the sum of $800 (N303,000) monthly to be his cook.

Krissyjoh, Nigerian porn star has disclosed that he made over N228m ($600,784) from acting in porn movies.

Showing off his total earnings via a screenshot he shared, Krossyjoh appreciated his fans for all their support.

BBNaija’s Kiddwaya Writes From Sick Bed says, “Hate Is A Silent Killer”

Terseer Kiddwaya, former BBNiaja housemate and son of popular Benue State-born billionaire Terry Waya, has advised people on the negative impact of hate.

Kiddwaya who confirmed a few days ago that he was hospitalized after falling seriously ill said that hate is a silent killer.

According to the billionaire son, being on his hospital bed all alone makes him wonder why he is having issues with this person or that person and he urged his fans to spread love among themselves.

He wrote:

"The truth is. I love everyone. Weather you hate me or love me I still love you. Because at the end of the day when your by yourself in hospital sick.

You look back and think. Why do I hate this person? In the long run it really isn't worth it. Hate is a silent killer."

Legendary Mexican Singer Armando Manzanero Dies Aged 85 After Being Hospitalized With COVID-19

After being hospitalized with COVID infection, legendary Mexican singer and composer, Armando Manzanero died.

The 85 years old ballad singer was diagnosed with coronavirus on December 17 and hospitalized at a Mexico City medical facility five days later. He was placed on a ventilator due to shortness of breath and died on Monday, December 28.

His manager, Laura Blum, said his death was caused by complications from a kidney problem.

Blum disclosed that Manzanero will be cremated in Mexico City and his remains will be taken to his hometown of Merida, in Yucatan state.

Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, expressed his condolences and described the late singer as a "man of the people" during a press conference.

"Armando Manzanero was a sensitive man, a man of the people. That's why I lament his death. He was also a great composer," he said.

The singer, whose careers spanned seven decades, was a crooner best known for songs like 'Somos Novios,' which, with translated English lyrics, became the 1970s hit 'It's Impossible' for Perry Como.

Manzanero, who was the president of the Mexican Society of Authors and Composers (Sociedad de Autores y Compositores de México), received the Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. In 2014, he also received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in the United States, becoming the first Mexican to receive the honor.

The renowned music composer is survived by seven children, and 16 grandchildren

Popular reality TV star, Terseer Waya, better known as Kiddwaya, has shared a photo of himself from the hospital assuring his fans that he is getting better.

The former BBNaija Lockdown housemate has been under the weather yet feels the need to communicate with his fans.

This is especially because he has not released the highly-anticipated second episode which features Erica Nlewedim.

Taking to his Twitter page on Sunday morning, he writes:
