"I know a lot of ladies out there with aspirations, and I'm here to tell you that your dreams are valid. When things start to fall in place for you, do not relent, do not think that you have 'arrived', because you still have a long way to go. At the end of the day, what stands the test of time is what you have put out there. People only associate with success. You need to keep doing what you do best, no matter how small-scale it looks. Delta Governor’s Aide, Ossai reacts to Omotola’s statement in an interview about being financially stable before marriage

Posted: 28 Apr 2021 11:30 PM PDT

The Delta State Governor Aide on Media, Mr Ossai Ovie Success has kicked against the opinion of the popular actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde as regards ladies being financially stable before they go into marriage.

Recall that a few days ago, Omotola Jalade asserted that she was already a millionaire before she got married and urged ladies to also do the same before they can proudly beat their chest in readiness for marriage.

In reaction to this, the 29-year-old aide has debunked such an assertion.

Taking to his social media page, he wrote:

" Dear Omotola Jalade, I just saw your interview about ladies becoming financially stable before going into marriage. Personally I think you are wrong in your advice to ladies .
You said you were a millionaire at the age of 18 and you were ready for marriage.
You got married at the age of 18, I am not disputing that fact but telling us you were ready then is a big lie.

99% of the People who got married then at the age of 18 were neither forced or were not ready .
I don't think money makes one ready for marriage.
I am not against women being financially stable but in a situation when a woman is ready for marriage and not financially stable,  I don't think she should wait till she is financially stable before going into marriage.

The Bible said "He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD."
The Bible Didn't says he that finds a financially stable woman obtains favor.
So please let's get things right and let's avoid pushing ladies into late marriage because of financial stability.

A woman can be financially unstable before getting married and her marriage can still be a success.
A woman also can be financially stable before getting married and her marriage can still be unsuccessful. So it is not about Money."

Shame on anyone still defended a completely failed government".

"This isn't the California we know. This is Gavin Newsom's California, where he orders us to stay home but goes out to dinner with his lobbyist friends," Jenner said in a statement, referring to Newsom's pandemic visit to the posh eatery French Laundry.

"California has been my home for nearly 50 years. I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into reality. But for the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people. Sacramento needs an honest leader with a clear vision."

"An entire generation of children have lost a year of education and have been prevented from going back to school, participating in activities, or socializing with their friends," Jenner wrote.

The Republican is being backed by a campaign team that includes Trump campaign veterans, including pollster Tony Fabrizio, the former president's pollster, according to Axios.

Trump's former campaign manager Brad Parscale, a personal friend of Jenner's, has helped her assemble her team but doesn't plan to take an official title on the campaign.

Omotola Jalade Finally Opens Up On Alleged Love Affair With Adams Oshiomhole

Posted: 28 Apr 2021 05:00 AM PDT

After rumors that she had a sizzling romantic affair with former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, seasoned Nollywood actress and mother of four, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has finally responded to the claims.

The ace movie star in a recent interview with BBC Yoruba said she did not like to attend events and never met the former governor before.

"People do not know that I don't like to go out. I am either at home or at the office. I only like to go out on official purposes. I don't know Adams Oshiomhole. I have never met him. End of the story."

The veteran actress is also of the opinion that any lady who does not have a source of livelihood should not consider marriage because she is automatically preparing herself to be imprisoned in the union.

Asked if she would allow any of her children to marry at the age of 18 like she did, to which she answered, "I was at the age of consent when I got married and above all, I was mature when I met my husband.

"Currently, I have only one child that is 18 years old, so the question is late. He is a boy and peradventure, he says he wants to get married, I will not allow it because he does not have his own money now.

"One must apply wisdom or common sense in everything one does. People cannot say that because I married at 18, therefore they can also do it. The question is, 'are you ready for marriage'? When I was at that age, I was ready.

"I had been working since I was 15-years-old and I had become a millionaire at the age of 18. That is a fact that a lot of people don't know.

"I had my own money. I was not dependent on any man. Moreover, my father died early, so I was already responsible for my younger siblings. I was like their mother at that time, so I was very mature and financially prepared.

"One should not marry a man when one is not financially stable. If one does that, one would be going into slavery or better still, prison.

"If any of my children, after considering all these factors, say they are ready for marriage, we (parents) would meet the person and if we like them, we would give them our blessings."

Actor Lateef Adedimeji: How I Once Thanked Fan Who Slapped Me

Posted: 28 Apr 2021 04:00 AM PDT

Celebrities have encountered different things in the hands of their fans, some sweet and some bitter. For popular actor, Lateef Adedimeji, one of his experiences might not be described as sweet, after he was hit by a die-hard fan.

The seasoned actor has narrated how he once had to thank a fan for slapping him.

He told Sunday Scoop, "Out of excitement, a fan suddenly gave me a 'hot' slap. She said, 'Oh my God! Lateef Adedimeji'. I moved back in anger and saw her smiling. I just had to say 'thank you'. I had smile by force, by fire. Things like that happen. We just have to manage them because they are out of love. We cannot push them away."

Adedimeji also stated that he always made sure to mix his personal life and career. He said, "It has not been easy (staying out of drama) because as actors, we lead two lives. Our lives on movie sets are quite different from our lives as normal people. However, a lot of our fans don't even understand that.

"They mix up the two. I like to keep my things private and do things on my own. When it's time for the public to know what I am doing, they will surely know. It has not been easy but I am someone who likes to be careful.

"However, despite my carefulness, I still have to go through a lot of things. To an extent, I have been managing things with God on my side."

Adedimeji, who is noted for speaking Yoruba with an Igbo accent in some films, said he started doing that to stand out from other actors.

He said, "While I was at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, I was involved in stand-up comedy but at a point, I left it. However, one day, I had to act with some A-list actors and we were to speak Yoruba. I then asked myself, 'How would I be able to stand out among them'? I had to speak to the director, asking him if I could speak another 'version' of Yoruba. I used the accent and from then on, I had to develop it more."

The actor also maintained that any celebrity who was not sure of what they stood for could easily be swayed by the expectations of fans.

He added, "If care is not taken and one does not know oneself or what one stands for, one would follow the crowd and lose being oneself. The worst thing in life is for one to lose oneself trying to impress other people.

"No matter the circumstances, one should always be oneself. Anybody who loves you would stick to you regardless."

Jay-Z Talks About His Family And How He’s Survived Lockdown; Reveals How He Will Like To Be Remembered

Posted: 28 Apr 2021 02:00 AM PDT

Music mogul, JAY-Z, has opened on how he coped with his family and stayed productive during quarantine.

Recall that few months ago,  Jay-Z launched his own cannabis brand, sold half of his champagne brand Armand de Brignac to LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton and sold a majority ownership stake in TIDAL to Square, Inc.

In a rare interview with The Sunday Times to promote his partnership with Puma as creative director, Jay-Z, 51, discussed his life in lockdown with Beyoncé and their three children.

"In the beginning it was time for everyone to sit down and really connect, and really focus on family and being together, and take this time to learn more about each other," says JAY-Z.

"And then, as it wore on, it's like, 'OK, all right, what is the new normal?'"

"If anything came from this," Jay says of the pandemic, "it's that we have to recognize that we're all connected. It's a metaphor for how connected we are."

He also revealed he has no plans to tour in the near future.

"I'm not planning it, but I'm definitely missing it," he says.

During the zoom call interview, Jay takes a moment to acknowledge his youngest daughter off camera. "Hiii, beautiful!" he says while blowing kisses.

"That's my youngest daughter, Rumi."

Despite his many businesses Jay-Z says family remains his "foundation."

"Feeling loved is the most important thing a child needs, you know? Not 'Here's this business that I'm going to hand over to you, that I'm creating for you,'" says JAY-Z.

"What if my child doesn't want to be in music or sports? I have no idea, right? But as long as your child feels supported, and feels loved, I think anything is possible."

He adds, "Just make sure we provide a loving environment, be very attentive to who they want to be. It's easy for us, as human beings, to want our children to do certain things, but we have no idea. We're just guides."

Following the trial of Derek Chauvin for George Floyd's murder, Jay-Z says says there's still a long way to go but acknowledges that progress has been made.

"As a human race we're still on basic things. We're still on Stop Asian Hate. We can't sit and cry over spilt milk, but we do have to acknowledge that there's milk, right?" he says, adding, "Are we here today? No. Are we further than 50 years ago? Yes."

Although he rarely uses social media, Jayz says its necessary for today's stars.

"You can't give someone a microphone for 24 hours a day and [have them] not think they have to use it!" he says. "These kids, it's unbelievable. Imagine having a microphone and you're asked about social justice questions at 18 years old?

It's like, 'What? I'm meant to know the answer, and if I don't answer the correct way, if I don't say everything right, even if my intentions are right, and I don't say the same right thing, it's going to be everywhere.'"

Speaking about how he'll like to be remembered Jay Z said;. "I have no idea,"

"I'm not beyond ego, right? Hopefully they speak of me [with] the names of Bob Marley and all the greats. But that's not for me to say."

When asked what he's most proud of, he responds, "I'm most proud of overcoming my circumstances and providing opportunity for people who look like me and who came from the same situation that I've come from."

As the subject of sexuality continues to gain ground among Nigerians, actor, Uti Nwachukwu, opines on how culture and religion have chronically affected Nigerians sexually.

Uti is of the opinion that culture and especially religion have greatly repressed Nigerians when it comes to issues of sex and sexual liberation.

"Culture&especially religion have played major roles in chronically repressing Nigerians sexually. That's why the country seems to be dangerously obsessed with sexuality!

You condemn people but you flock to public pages to express how much you don't approve of their sexual Liberation. It's always who's sleeping with who or what

Thats why when Someone Says or does something sexually explicit, Boom!!! THEY BLOW. Confused much ?? Don't know bout you but if I despise someone/something, I stay totally away from all topics concerning it/them"
