In the sight of her father, a little boy approached a girl and took her phone number, according to a video that went viral online.

In the viral video, a little girl, her younger brother, and her father were walking along the street when a bold guy approached the girl and her father to ask for her phone number.
 
Surprisingly, the father stood there unfazed while his daughter and the boy made eye contact.

The boy had a "victory dance" as he proceeded to join his pals who congratulated him for his bravery after successfully gaining the girl's number even with her father present.

Today, July 6th, is the comedian's mother's birthday, and he has taken to his verified Instagram profile to congratulate her.
 
He characterized his mother, who he shared gorgeous images of, as his "forever love" who has always supported his goals with prayers.

The brand management discredited Vee over her nonchalant attitude on set, and how she looked down on everyone on set with her.

Oko Iyabo: Actor Yomi Fabiyi Reacts As TAMPAN Summons Him Over New Movie

Yomi Fabiyi, a Nollywood actor and producer, has discussed his invitation from the Theatre Art and Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) to attend the premiere of his new film 'Oko Iyabo.'

Despite his busy schedule, Fabiyi declared on Instagram that he will accept the offer.

He wrote: "Many thanks for your invitation @tampanglobal.


"I shall lose no time to look into my initial schedules before this letter came in and respond with the earliest possible time and means of attendance. Accept my warm regards."

The actor's invitation was required, according to the organization, because of the uproar that the film has caused regarding their ethics and virtue.

Yomi Fabiyi, a film producer and director, will appear before the committee on July 11, 2021, according to a press release.

Lawan — Electoral Act: Contact your lawmakers for any amendment you are against

Senate President Ahmad Lawan has asked Nigerians to channel any grieviance they have against any amendment in the electoral act to their representatives in the national assembly.

In his speech at the inauguration of the reconstituted Public Complaints Commission by the National Assembly after lawmakers came under fire for allegedly introducing a section prohibiting electronic transmission of election results, Lawan stated that the presiding officers were not responsible for the amendments being proposed in the Electoral Act.

The Senate President said;

"The National Assembly is embarking on the amendment of the Electoral Act. Probably by next week or within the next two weeks.

"It's very important that those who feel very strongly about any amendment that they think should be effected in the electoral act should contact or talk to their members of House of Representatives as well as Distinguished Senators.

"I want to state categorically clear here that presiding officers are not the ones to determine what is coming or what is not."

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila also asked members of their commission to ensure that their action is beneficial to Nigerians.

Gbajabiamila said;

"You must bring to play all the necessary ingredients needed in public administration for workers protection, for the benefits of Nigerians and residents of Nigeria irrespective of ethnicity or religious inclinations.

"In the course of your duties, you must portray the PCC as a veritable instrument for sanitising public administration in the country."

Jeff Bezos has stepped down as the chief executive of Amazon 27 years after he founded the company. 

The American billionaire, 57, Amazon's biggest shareholder with a stake worth about $180 billion, is being replaced by Andy Jassy, the mastermind behind Amazon's cloud computing division.

Earlier this year, Mr. Bezos announced his decision to step down in order to be able to focus on initiatives such as his plans for private space travel.

Making his announcement, Mr. Bezos said he wanted to "focus [his] energies and attention on new products and early initiatives" in his new role of executive chair.

"This journey began some 27 years ago. Amazon was only an idea, and it had no name. The question I was asked most frequently at that time was, 'What's the internet?' Blessedly, I haven't had to explain that in a long while," he wrote in a letter to Amazon employees earlier this year.

"Today, we employ 1.3 million talented, dedicated people, serve hundreds of millions of customers and businesses, and are widely recognised as one of the most successful companies in the world."

Mr Bezos said he would "stay engaged in important Amazon initiatives" but also concentrate on projects away from the day-to-day running of the business in his new position.

He said the move would give him the "time and energy" needed to "focus on the Day 1 Fund, the Bezos Earth Fund, Blue Origin, The Washington Post" and his "other passions".

Mr Bezos said that he had "full confidence" in his replacement, Mr. Jassy.

"Andy is well known inside the company and has been at Amazon almost as long as I have. He will be an outstanding leader, and he has my full confidence," he said.

The change in management happened on Monday, exactly 27 years after Mr. Bezos founded the company as an internet bookseller.

Nigerian rapper, Vector remembered his late father, Mr Ogunmefun in an Instagram post.

Taking to the photo and video sharing platform, the rapper shared a photo of himself in a white garment.

He accompanied the photo with an adorable story about his father. He wrote;

I had a court case at a time, I lost everything I had (and I hate asking for help from anyone… even my own parents 🤦🏾‍♂️).
My Dad walked into the court room on the day set for hearing and my lawyer in that case lost his shit. "That's the man I was telling you about all these years" he said to his partner next to him.

His friend was killed in a failed brake accident in ibadan (I think) and when they got there, they were going to shake the driver with all their might and connections but my dad welcomed them in his office and asked if he could read them some Bible passages before they commenced discussions.
They left the office letting go.
He didn't see my dad anymore till the day i had a court case he represented me in and my dad walked in.

I learnt about resting in peace from the life my dad lived. To say " rest in peace " is a lie if the person who died didn't leave good memories of him/herself.

If you wonder where my Confidence comes from, it is in knowing the son of whom I am.

you have seen me smile many days, see me cry… Today is different.

Comedian, Egungun – “My stepmother used to beat us with different kinds of weapons and starve us”

Comedian Egungun after flaunting his five-bedroom flat that he built recently has penned a heart-touching story about how his stepmother used to beat and maltreat him and his brother when they were kids.

The comedian in a lengthy post narrated his days of agony and sorrow from how his stepmother turned them into a punching bag, to how he drank water from her (stepmother) defecation bucket due to the fact that she restricted them from drinking good water in their father's house.

Despite these hurdles of life, Egungun today is a proud house owner.

THIS SUFFERING LASTED FOR 9 YEARS , WE PICK AND EAT FROM THE GROUND SOMETIMES , WE EVEN ATE DOG LEFT OVERS AND IT TASTE GOOD SOMETIMES BECAUSE OF HUNGER , SO I AND MY BROTHER PLANNED ON RUNNING AWAY FINALLY WE DIDN'T KNEW SHE SAW THE LETTER THAT WE WROTE DOWN FOR OUR DADDY TO READ …. BBNaija Host, Ebuka Speaks On Erica’s Disqualification

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host of Big Brother Naija, has spoken out on why some aspects of the reality TV show were edited and his feelings towards disqualified housemate Erica Nlewedim.

According to Ebuka, according to National Broadcasting Company regulations, some sequences must be suppressed.
 
During an interview with BeatFM, the TV host made this statement in response to assertions made by fans that BBNaija only shows viewers what the organization wants them to see.

He also shot down rumors that he harbored a grudge against Erica.

He said, "I like Erica; I really like Erica, which is also funny because people thought that I hated her. She gave us good content; she and Kiddwaya.

"First things first, we live in a country that has regulations. We all know about the NBC; there are certain things we can never show whether we like it or not. I always say that the show would be a different show if it was not a Nigerian show or if it was not in Nigeria because of the kind of things that we cannot show. Those things are not in our call; it is just legal issues.
"Secondly, this talk about what we showed about Kiddwaya and Erica; we actually did not show anything about them if anybody remembers. Nothing was shown about them. We did not show anything. In fact, it was even Ka3na and Praise that people saw under the sheets.

"A lot of these things happened under the sheets; so, we do not know what is happening. We are not going to send a ninja to remove the sheet so that we can get a good shot.
