Enenche stated this during a sermon at his church's headquarters, Glory Dome, Abuja. "Thank God for Church, otherwise many people would have k*lled themselves since. If they say there was s*ic*de, just imagine what will happen if not for Church. Living in a kind of country we are living and in the part of the world we are living, the only thing that has kept us alive and kept us well is Word of God. Didn't you hear the COVID predictions, that millions would be on the streets of Africa. We don't have all the sophisticated things they have there, but we have raw Word of God. Even though they mock us and they say with all our Word, where is our development? But the Word of God has saturated the ground. We don't have ventilators, we don't have anything but we have the Word and the predictions could not come to pass because He frustrated the tokens of liars," he said.

BBNaija: Jackie B Accuses Angel Of Stealing Her Shoes Posted: 23 Aug 2021 10:00 PM PDT Big Brother Naija housemate of Season 6, Jackie Bent, has stylishly accused Angel Agnes Smith of stealing her pair of shoes after lending it to her for a task. We recall that Jackie B has openly displayed her dislike for Angel as the whole drama started after Angel gave Michael (another housemate she is in an entanglement with) a head massage. She claimed that Angel does not respect boundaries and that she found her actions quite disrespectful. Few hours ago, Jackie B was seen as she walked to the garden where Angel and Whitemoney were discussing. Veteran Singer, Mike Okri, Contracts COVID19 Despite Full Vaccination Posted: 23 Aug 2021 09:00 AM PDT Despite being fully vaccinated, veteran musician, Mike Okri, has contracted COVID-19. Okri made the sad revelation via Facebook live he had on Saturday, August 21. Okri who recently returned home after decades abroad said he caught the virus on Friday, August 20, a day before he was due to travel. He said he felt "devastated" and "funny" and had gone into self-isolation at home for 10 or 14 days. "Hey folks, this is coming to me as a rude shock. I had my Covid test on Friday, hoping to fly today, Saturday and it turned out it was positive. I'm so devastated, which means that I can't travel for another 10 to 14 days. As I'm speaking now, I'm self-quarantined. I just want to tell folks that yes, for those doubting Thomases, that the damn thing is real. I'm feeling funny; even though I had my vaccines, double shots, I'm still almost like, hmm, that doesn't mean that you're immune. So, folks, there are a lot of people walking around with it, but they don't even know. Pantami – FG To Deploy 5G Network Soon Posted: 23 Aug 2021 06:00 AM PDT The Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy says it will soon deploy the Five Generation network in Nigeria for increased connectivity. The Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami, disclosed this in Abuja when he featured on FORUM, a special News Agency of Nigeria interview programme. The minister said that the decision to deploy the 5G network followed an outcome of thorough investigations, research, and trial absolving it of posing a security or health threat. According to him, the work on the national policy on 5G stands at 95 per cent done and will be presented to the Federal Executive Council in due course. Pantami, who said that the primary concern of the government was to ensure the security and welfare of Nigerians in their utilisation of services in the telecommunications sector, blamed the delay in the deployment of the 5G network on conspiracy theories. There were concerns that COVID-19 was associated with the deployment of the 5G communications network. "Our government is a listening one; so we listen to constructive criticisms, respect it and appreciate it and at least we value it. "We'd reached advanced stage of 5G, then, an issue came up that 5G was related to COVID-19; many people including the educated ones started circulating it without verification. "Naturally, people are a bit scared and skeptical about technology. "So we gave enough time to do more consultation, creating awareness in local languages so as to engage our citizens to address all the challenges. "We set up a technical team that accommodated security, health, and environmental institutions, and the public sector so that we can be on the same page. "I want to give you the assurance that the 5G communication network is in the pipeline." Pantami said that the ministry had started discussions with the Nigerian Communications Commission concerning spectrum for commercial purposes. "From that spectrum, NCC will give it to mobile operators to start deployment; so, the policy is almost ready. "I went to the National Assembly, I defended our presentation and they have accepted and they have also endorsed the deployment of 5G. "They have also encouraged us to learn from other countries that have deployed 5G and we have already done that. "The World Health Organisation has issued a statement that there is no relationship between 5G network and COVID-19 and that addresses the health issue. "Similarly, the International Communications Union (ICU), which is an arm of the UN, also issued another statement debunking any implications from the 5G," Pantami said.

Alaafin Of Oyo – Sango Was A King Before Becoming Deity Posted: 23 Aug 2021 05:00 AM PDT The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, has declared Sango as the best king ever in Oyo. Oba Adeyemi spoke on Saturday while addressing visitors, tourists, and worshippers at the Grand Finale of the 2021 World Sango Festival in Oyo. The first class monarch said preservation of culture and tradition of people had become necessary for the sake of the coming generations. Alaafin said Sango, during his reign as Alaafin, was powerful and had exceptional attributes that made him different from those that ruled before and after him. He added that though Sango reigned for seven years, he was an exceptional king before transforming to a deity. The Alaafin said Sango Festival, one of the recognised festivals globally, promotes Yoruba culture and heritage. Sex Scandal: Apostle Suleman Addressed His Congregation Posted: 23 Aug 2021 04:00 AM PDT According to the video making rounds online, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry (OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleman has said that he is not angry at those attacking him on social media. We recall that Nollywood actress, Chioma Ifemeludike alleged that she slept with the popular clergyman for money and the memory has continued to torment her. Apostle Suleman implored his congregation and followers not to send him any encouraging messages again. "Why are you encouraging a man that is not discouraged. I'm upset since yesterday. I saw messages saying that I should not worry. Read my countenance, when you see me moody you can encourage me. Do I look like somebody who needs encouragement? I'm not discouraged at all and I'm not angry at those insulting me on social media," he said. The clergyman said he is focused on his God-given assignment and the people who are insulting him, only did that because of what they read online. "They are reacting to what they read. Angel complained to JMK  saying she likes wearing exposed wears because it's part of her lifestyle and nobody should criticize her for that. Since she came into the house, she has been friendly to all housemates and most of the guys have seen her nakedness. She went further by saying she knows she exposes her body a lot but that's her business because she is a full grown adult and have the right to her body.
