Council of Economic Advisers Spring and Summer 2022 Internships

Posted: 11 Nov 2021 07:11 AM PST

The Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) in Washington, D.C. is currently recruiting interns for both the spring and summer of 2022, offering full- and part-time unpaid internship programs on-site in Washington, D.C..

The CEA provides the President with objective economic analysis and advice on the development and implementation of a wide range of domestic and international economic policy issues. The Council is comprised of a Chair and two Members; the Chair is Senate-confirmed, and all three are Presidential Appointees. The staff of the Council consists of senior and staff economists, research assistants, and statistical and administrative staff.

Interns will have the opportunity to work on exciting, challenging projects with real world implications. Interns support the research and analysis-based mission of the CEA by assisting the staff in researching a wide range of macroeconomic, microeconomic, and international issues and conducting statistical analysis and data collection, among other responsibilities. Interns also earn valuable experience applying their quantitative and qualitative research skills on a daily basis and learn new ways to approach questions from CEA economists. Administrative duties to support the work of the Council are also involved.
