The lack of regulatory bodies in the entertainment industry in Nigeria is of great concern to Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia.

Idemudia said that the absence of regulatory bodies has soiled the reputation of professionals in the entertainment industry.

The actress detailed her two cents via Instagram, insisting that the presence of working bodies would help boost the reputation of actors and entertainers.


According to Idemudia, filmmakers work twice as hard as any other profession in Nigeria and should be treated with equal respect and recognition.

"When there is no regulation in a thing, abuse is imminent. When the governing body tries to regulate a thing, uneducated people fight assuming that it means activities are about to be clamped but no, regulations are for the good of every practitioner," the actress wrote.

"The charlatans give everyone a bad name. Everybody, literally everybody is an 'actress' so much disrespect. Despite all the hard work, I dare say, filmmakers, musicians work harder than engineers( no offense) But everything is packaging…branding…organization…

"Because we don't wear shirt and tie don't mean we are irresponsible. My industry could use a little packaging."

Regina Daniels' sister, Destiny has slammed Kayanmata seller, Jaruma for clout chasing, after her post about things done for their family.

Recall their issue started after Regina Daniels called Jaruma out and subsequently distanced herself from her brand.

However, annoyed by Regina's post, Jaruma took to her Instagram page to share what transpired between them, and highlighted the numerous things she did for the actress and her family during their friendship.

But reacting to this now, Destiny Daniels in a lengthy post on Instagram, slammed Jaruma … saying she always knew the Kayanmata seller was close to Regina for clout; while revealing that the N1 million naira, Jaruma claimed to give her mum was a supposed birthday gift.


In her words;

"You paid her 10m naira for the deal madam. Nobody came to meet you to beg you for money, you singlehandedly shared money to those people and made records of it like you were doing it for humanitarian purposes but it was actually for the clout. The 1m you gave my mum was supposedly a birthday gift. The head phones too was an act of friendship bc she didn't beg you for it, you wanted her to use it bc she had been using the one someone else got for her and you were jealous but let's not go there.

"I always knew from the onset that you were always after clout. when you got Gina's cosmetics, you made videos more than 10times to get the perfect shot😂 and she didn't still beg you to do that, you later collected the money and said you were gon transfer that you like holding money in your hand. You still called my mum last night to renew the contract bc you had seen the ongoing issue as an opportunity for your business and she didn't agree, that's why you decided to do this.

"Clout chasing is only throwing your name in the gutter but since it's what you do to earn a living, I wish you more successful clout chase aunty jaruma. We recall that Regina formally dissociated herself from the Jaruma empire brand earlier today. The Actress had stated that she was tired of being used by Jaruma to promote her products.
