Maraji Reveals Her Journey – Surgery, Marriage, Pregnancy; 2021 Was A Crazy Year For Me

As the new year approaches and 2021 is fast coming to an end, Gloria Oloruntobi aka Maraji has taken to social media to open up and share her experience in her latest vlog.

The comedian took to her YouTube page to drop the 'life update' video and a part of the videoclip on her instagram page, asking her followers to see full video on YouTube.

Maraji gave a detailed life update on what she has been up to this year from getting a hemorrhoidectomy (surgery to remove hemorrhoids) earlier in the year, to getting married.

The expecting mum also gave a recap of her unplanned pregnancy and first trimester.

Speaking on her experience with hemorrhoids, Maraji said:

"In the beginning of the year, I had surgery done… so I took a break before my surgery, when I did the surgery and after the surgery.

The recovery from hemorrhoidectomy; the removal of haemorrhoids which is probably known as piles. I've had those since I was maybe 12.

I've suffered from those things for the longest time, and it got worse.

I did my surgery in the beginning of the year and it was just the hardest thing I'd ever gone through in my life. It was the most difficult recovery I have ever been through.

After the haemorrhoids healed and the stitches healed, I got myself, started posting again and getting back into the scene."

Maraji also revealed that she secretly got married this year, after her surgery. She added:

"Shortly after, I got married. This marriage thing is so shocking, to everyone around me, even my family members. It was a decision we both made. We just wanted to get married. We were sure, we were ready, we wanted to do it… and then we did it."

The skit maker who planned to move to Ghana with her Ghanaian husband added that it was a very quick wedding.

"From the minute we decided to get married to the day of the wedding, it was less than a month. It was not a big wedding, just his family, my family, in a sitting room."

She didn't expect to be a mum so soon because of her PCOS but…

"shortly after, I got pregnant which is crazy because I have PCOS and every time I think of pregnancy and kids, I've always thought it would definitely take me a while to get pregnant."

Serwaa Amihere –Why Men Who Don’t Cheat And Flirt In Relationships Deserve Special Prayers

Award winning Ghanaian Broadcaster, Serwaa Amihere has beckoned on her fellow ladies to pray for men who don't cheat on them.

According to the GHOne TV news anchor and part-time relationship counsellor, men who don't cheat or flirt with other girls deserve special prayers because they don't stress their partners.

Serwaa Amihere said such men are to be held in high esteem and protected at all cost.

"Ladies, you see the man who doesn't stress you by cheating and flirting with other girls, they deserve special prayers," Serwaa tweeted.

Her tweet was well-received by the majority of her tweeps, especially ladies. She was highly praised for coming out to support men who stay clean in relationships.

It's unclear the motive behind her tweet; however, Serwaa Amihere is known for dishing out random motivational messages and relationships advice through her Twitter page.

Meanwhile, on this year's Christmas Day, Serwaa Amihere joined her co-worker Nana Aba Anamoah and other GHOne TV employees to donate some items to female inmates at the Nsawam Prison.

The items donated included plastic water storage and some Christmas presents.

Talented actress and producer Funke Akindele-Bello has advised fans and followers to take precautions of so-called 'users' who they take as loved ones

Toke Makinwa allegedly sue sugar daddy to court for not fulfilling his promises

On-air personality, Toke Makinwa has allegedly dragged her sugar daddy, Aliyu Abubakar to court due to his failure to fulfil certain promises he made to her before they kicked off their amorous relationship.

According to controversial IG blogger, Cutie__juls, Aliyu, the AA oil boss is currently pleading with Toke for the matter to be settled out of court but she's being adamant to the pleas.

The blogger further revealed that the case has lingered for quite a long time, but the media personality died down the matter a bit after receiving a huge sum from the oil mogul.

The report however states that Toke Makinwa has resurrected the case due to the fact that he hasn't paid in full.

Actor, Uche Maduagwu drags Davido to filth over silence on disbursement of N250M charity funds

Self-acclaimed most talked about Nollywood star, Uche Maduagwu, challenges superstar singer, Davido Adeleke, over the transparency of the N250M charity funds.

It would be recalled that the singer raised N200M and added N50M from his pocket which he declared plans to disburse to charity across the country.

According to Uche Maduagwu in a post via Instagram, the deadline for the disbursement has passed and Davido has failed to give full transparency of the funds.

Imoh Umoren Educates Twitter User Who Claimed Being Born In Africa Is A Disadvantage – There’s Poverty Everywhere

Award-winning producer and Director, Imoh Umoren has counteracted a Twitter user who claimed nothing good comes out of being an African.

According to the Twitter user, a lot of disadvantages come with being birth in Africa. He started as being born in Africa, life generally has a leading-edge so one has to struggle to equalize.

"Once you're born in Africa life is automatically leading you 1-0. If you're not educated 2-0, if your parents don't have money it's 3-0 & If you don't have connections that's 4-0. At this point, you are left with no option but to hustle every day in order to equalize." The user wrote.


Reacting to the statement, Umoren stood against such a claim for it's not entirely true. According to the filmmaker, such a life scenery happens no matter the country one lives in.

He also urged everyone to travel far and wide and not just to fancy places, because poverty abounds everywhere.

Kanye's new home was built in 1955 with four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms in about 3,600 square feet. There's also a guest studio with another bedroom and full bathroom, best-suited for staff, attached to the garage.

The equestrian ranch spans just over a flat acre of land, and also includes horse stables and some very dated interiors with wall-to-wall carpeting.

Legendary Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale has continued lambasting Nigerian musicians on social media.

The dancehall singer slammed Nigerian artistes, asked them to appreciate they love they get from Ghana musicians. He added that they see Ghana like heaven.

In his social media post, a plain shade at Nigerian musicians, he said they sing about love but; they have no love.

He Tweeted; "Your artistes see Ghana like heaven. Anytime I say something about Nigeria it hits them hard. You guys sing about love but you don't have it. All na scam."

"Nobody is hating nobody here but the way you Naija people like comparing your artistes to us is absurd.
 
"Sorry for those Naija rats saying they haven't heard my music before. Yes it's because I am too ok with the love from Ghana where I was born rather than a strangers' land to intimidate me.

"Ask some of your artistes, they come here and flop. I have many shows I can make reference to. Some even get arrested here and some too dey chop slaps and you want to talk about stardom to me. No sir! Let your artiste tell you the truth!"

Yul Edochie advises Shatta Wale, Apologise for throwing shades at Nigerian artistes

Yul Edochie, veteran Nollywood actor, has on Monday advised Ghanaian rapper, Shatta Wale, to apologise for throwing shades at Nigerian artistes.

Yul was responding to Shatta Wale's outburst on Sunday, where the rapper threw shades on Nigerian artistes after he had apparently sold out a Ghanaian stadium.

The rapper stated:
"They said I won't be able to fill my own stadiums, I don't need any Nigerian artiste to sell out Ghana's stadium, f**k Nigerian artistes,"

As if that wasn't enough, Shatta Wale, on Monday, also took to his Twitter page to blast Nigerians, telling them to be grateful to Ghana for supporting Nigerian artistes.

Responding to the rapper's rant, Yul Edochie, asked Shatta Wale to apologise for his utterances.

Yul took to his social media platforms to write:

"Dear Shatta Wale, coming out to say 'F**k Nigerian artistes' is extreme and too low for a man like you. That's hate.

"I remember when Nigerian movie producers were giving all the lead roles to Ghanaian actors a few years back, no Nigerian ever came out to say 'F**k Ghanaian actors'.

"I have lots of fans from Ghana who send me goodwill messages daily, inviting me to Ghana and I appreciate all of them.

"I'm a fan of your music. Your track with Beyonce is always on repeat in my car.

"No matter what is pissing you off, a man like you with a large fan base should be using it to promote peace and unity among Africans and the rest of the world. You should apologise for such a statement."

Reno Omokri– Marriage Cannot Survive On Love Alone

Reno Omokri has warned those planning to marry that love alone will not be enough to keep a marriage together.

Aside from love, money, and a place to live, the author noted that a good marriage requires a variety of additional factors.

Chiamaka Nwokeukwu, a popular Nollywood actress and her husband welcomed their first daughter together on December 24.

Banky W and Adesua Etomi


Banky W and his wife Adesua Etomi welcomed their first child Zaiah in February. The couple got tied the knot in 2017.

Uche Ogbodo


Uche Ogbodo, veteran actress, welcomed her second child on June 6. The actress revealed that the child weighed three kg at birth.

K-Solo attacks Patoranking over tribute to Timaya

Solomon Oyeniyi, better known by his alias, K-Solo, has criticized singer Patoranking for paying appreciation to a fellow performer, Timaya.

Patoranking, a pop-dancehall performer, credited Timaya with his first major break during his show on Sunday night.

When Timaya joked that Patoranking didn't include his name in his rave song "Celebrate me," he responded.
Patoranking addressed his fans about how he met Timaya, slept in his house, and received a lot of encouragement from him when he was fighting to obtain a huge break during the event.

Timaya, according to Patoranking, made sure he had free studio time, which resulted in the hit track "Alubarika."

K-Solo, who produced big singles for Patoranking's Plantain Boy crooner, reacted to Patoranking's tribute to Timaya by stating that Patoranking's music span was numbered.

K-SOLO tweeted on Monday, "Otun ti Zeh o.
So I got tags from a few blogs who knew the humble beginnings of Pato, while he was giving Timi his fake Emotional Speech.
