Diehard fan of superstar Afrobeat singer, Davido Adeleke, emphasizes the desire to fly together with the singer to Dubai.

A video making rounds on social media capture a young lady who wept profusely with intentions of not stopping any time soon until her demands are met.

The lady in question noted that she would continue crying until Davido takes her to Dubai on his private jet.

"I won't stop crying until I fly out with Davido on his private jet to Dubai," she wrote while sharing a video in tears.

Actor Adeniyi Johnson Bemoans High Rate Of Kidnappings Along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has joined other Nigerians to lament on the high rate of kidnappings that has recently become rampant along the ever-busy Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The Ex-husband of actress, Toyin Abraham took to his Instagram stories to share his experience regarding the expressway, saying it is unsafe to ply. He went further to  challenge the leaders of the Oodua Peoples Congress OPC, to speak against the kidnappings happening in Yorubaland. He stated that the insecurity has affected a lot of businesses including his.

He then urged everyone to ensure they vote right come 2023 and also keep praying for Nigeria.

This comes weeks after Big Brother Naija reality star engaged his fiancee in a grand style underwater.

Taking to Instagram to announce the coming of their baby, Omashola shared an ultra scan video of his fiancee's stomach that revealed the growth of life in her tummy.

Sydney Talker announces first act, Khaid as he launches Neville Records

On January 20, 2022, popular Nigerian comedian, Sydney Talker, announced the launch of his record label, Neville Records via an Instagram post.

He wrote that, "Finally, the time has come to boldly accept the birthing of a dream I have had for many years. It has not been easy carrying and nurturing this dream.

Popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, lashes out at criticism that trailed her husband following his acquisition of a Lexus SUV.

Toyin's husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi gifted himself a brand new Lexus SUV days after his birthday, which struck the debate of being less richer than his wife.

In reaction, the mother of one condemned the mentality of comparing wealth and status, especially one that has to do with herself and her husband.


In a now-deleted post, Toyin Abraham wrote;

"I don't usually do this and I am only going to address this just once and I hope this ends here. People need to stop this mentality that famous people or the more famous ones are the richest in their family, relationships or even friendships.

Just because some people do not like to blow their own horns doesn't mean they should be seen as less or incapable. Femi Adebayo discloses why he bought his employee a ride

Femi Adebayo, a well-known actor, film maker and lawyer, recently shocked members of his team by gifting one of them, Yemi Akinlosotu, a new Toyota Corolla.

This comes after gifting his mother a Toyota Venza for her birthday days ago.

Adebayo was seen, una video shared on his Instagram, handing a brown envelope containing the car's documentation to Akinlosotu, who works as a production manager with his J15 School of Performing Arts.

After receiving the envelope, the happy employee dropped on the ground and thanked his supervisor.

Femi stated that, he gave the worker the car as a token of appreciation for his dedication and hard work.

The actor said to PUNCH;

"Yemi, the employee I gave a car, graduated from J15 School about six years ago. He was the best student of his set and I employed him immediately.

"Since then, he has been very hardworking, loyal and committed to the job. I found out that his major need, for now, is a car.

"I wanted to appreciate his loyalty and hard work, and that is why I gave him the gift.

"I am still on the lookout for more of them and I pray the Almighty gives me the wherewithal to do more for other people that are loyal to Femi Adebayo as a brand and my company."

Akinlosotu, appreciating his boss wrote;

"With joy in my heart, I want to say a big thank you to my boss, my father, my mentor, my everything, Femi Adebayo.

"I really don't know what I have done to deserve this gift, sir. I have lost count (of) how many times I have wronged you, sir; ranging from lots of disappointment, destruction of properties and lots more.

Chris Adah – Nigeria is an impossible country; no love amongst youths

Popular host and reality TV star, Chris Adah has accused Nigerian youths of the nation's problems, claiming that they condemn the same youths they want to rule the country.

A lot of Nigerians have urged young people to enter politics and fix the country, and a few have expressed interest in running for office, but they have been chastised by their peers.

Reacting to this, the reality star stated that they have been calling for young people to takeover, but that all the youths who have made their intentions to run for political positions public have been chastised by their peers, demonstrating that love doesn't exist amongst youths.

In Adah's opinion, Nigeria is an impossible country which has a problem as clear as day light but would rather ignore it and, instead, shift blames to other things.

Things Portable Needs To Do To Maintain Relevance

In the Nigerian music industry, anything can be sold as far as there is a proper structure in place to market it, and the publicity for it is tight.

There is no denying the fact that there are people in the industry right now who are so far below in the 'talent' conversation when it comes to making great music but who enjoys the fame and the goodies of the industry while there are those who have the talent but can't seem to find their feet.

Time and time again, we come to see artists who sing songs we can't even catch ourselves listening to on a regular day start building a fanbase, and then the topic of promoting mediocrity starts amongst other issues addressed as to why talents are shunned but mediocrity is promoted.

One thing that is obvious in all of these cases is that Nigerians just want to be entertained. Sometimes, it is not about the good lyrics or mind-blowing beats. It can also be that people just want to 'catch cruise' as they call it these days and the artists considered to be mediocre give them that.

A perfect case study for this is the fast-rising Nigerian singer, Portable, the Zazoo Zeh crooner who became popular by making Instagram videos of him freestyling to beats and repeating 'Zazoo Zeh' throughout his freestyle.
 
Portable gradually built a small fanbase on Instagram and eventually got discovered, prompting a collaboration with Olamide, one of Nigeria's top indigenous rappers.

So far, Portable is on the mainstream radar, but the valid question is for how long?

As valid as that question is, one cannot just simply reach a conclusion and answer the question but looking at the singer's personality, his type of music, and how he's been managed, one can assume that he is a one-time hit artist and his fame might not last long.

Nonetheless, there are artists who have been assumed might not last long in the industry but are still here and doing good for themselves. Looking at the things they did to stay relevant and remain in the spotlight, here are things we think Portable can also imitate to remain relevant and in the spotlight.

Stay consistent
When Portable is mentioned anywhere right now, the only thing people can say about him is 'na me get zazoo.' Slangs however get old, but consistent efforts at creating never does.

The argument with everyone now is that he would wear out in about 18-24 months, but the only way he can prove everybody wrong is to continue creating and releasing new songs.

Properly leveraging on the fame he has right now can help him get people to continue listening to his songs, should he decide to release more and not milk 'Zazoo' till the well runs dry.

Stay away from controversies
Some people will tell you that 'no publicity is bad publicity' but what they never tell you is that there should be a limit to how you get involved in controversies. In the actual sense of it, there are some that are hard to recover from.

Portable seems like someone who enjoys controversies or who is not skilled enough to avoid them, and this might be good or bad for him depending on how it is used to favor him.

There are budding artists who got hit with controversy or two and their career ended there, and with the way Portable behaves in shows, with people close to him, and even on social media, that fate might be unavoidable for him.

Get a good management
The advantage of good management for an artist cannot be overemphasized.

Even with a proper understanding of the music business, artists all over the world still use a management company simply because it is better to have a professional run the show than just moving around aimlessly.

If not for anything at all, a good management company will look into his everyday activities, schedule them, and monitor what gets out to the media and what doesn't. For an artist like Portable, that is a big step towards staying in the spotlight without issues.

Focus on a specific fanbase
Every artist has a unique personality that people like to see, and most of the time artists fade out because they focus so much on pleasing fans who are not within their target range.

For Portable, this might be a challenge as demands for him to make other songs apart from 'street songs' will come and if he is not careful enough, he might try it and lose those fans as well as those who he already built.

Get a proper PR team
With a proper PR team, you can sell anything, and with a proper PR team, you can sell what people don't even expect can be sold.

This has been proven with Portable's collaboration with Olamide on Zazoo Zeh gaining traction across all streaming platforms and doing great numbers. It has been proven in the case of several other artists alike.

With a proper PR team, Portable can build a brand around his personality that people will come to accept.

Conclusion
Staying relevant and in the spotlight in the Nigerian music industry can be a difficult task to handle, especially because there are many aiming for fame in the industry. Mapping out strategies and building a proper structure, however, can be the beginning to the solution of that problem.

Lovers and supporters of Emmanuel and Liquorose, popularly called 'Emmarose shippers" have unleashed some angry reactions, following a viral video of former Big Brother Naija season 6 Shine Ya Eye contestants, Liquorose and Cross.

The two ex-Shine Ya Eye Housemates were spotted in a very romantic and loved-up video, hugging each other, as they express to missing each other.

Liquorose and Cross, as we learnt, were invited by the media company, Ndani TV for an official interview.

Further from the reactions, she accused Cross of setting his BBNaija's in-house plans of snatching Liquorose in motion. The furious shipper ended the conversation by asking them to delete the video from the group.

Jonas Azevedo Mendes, the captain of Guinea Bissau's national team and their first-choice goalie, declared that they would sooner 'die' than lose today's encounter against the Super Eagles.

According to Mendes, the team's main goalkeeper, he stated that they will be out in force to defeat the Super Eagles.

When questioned if there was a specific Eagles player they were aiming for, Mendes responded;

The singer who is pregnant, shared the joyful news during an interview on BeatFM.

During the interview, hosted by Osi and Simi, when the luxurious ring was noticed, she was asked about the ring, and she said "some guy gave it to me and asked if I would marry him".

She went on to show it off, adding that it is real diamond. Seyi also stated that her man has been adding to her glow.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Angel Smith populary known as Angel has taken to social media to shade Ghanaian National team goalkeeper, Joseph Wollacott.

Angel posted on her Instagram page shortly after Ghana lost to Comoros 3-2 at the ongoing African Cup Of Nations (AFCON), and it was a cheeky jibe.

According to her, Joseph had a very poor performance during the match and contributed to his team's loss.

In her (Angel Smith) words she said; "Ghana's goalkeeper just went there to dance 'adowa'."

Nigerian comedian, AY has penned down a heartwarming message following the birth of his second child, a beautiful babygirl.

In a post on Instagram, the comedian thanked God for answering his prayers after 13 years of waiting.

He also urged those who have been waiting on God to remain steadfast and trust in God because God's time is the best.
