Windows 11 was launched in October 2021, and it is available free on devices with Windows 10. Though it is available for all Windows 10-powered devices, such devices must meet certain system requirements. The requirements prevent many people from upgrading seamlessly.

Windows 11 comes with a redesigned Start Menu, Widgets panel on the taskbar (which replaces the Windows 10 "Live Tiles," new gaming technologies which came from Xbox Series X and Series S, and so on. Expectedly Internet Explorer(IE) is no longer available but is now replaced by Chromium-based Microsoft Edge (default browser).

Windows 11 comes with improved features for the best user experience. Now if you still run Windows 10, have no worries about upgrading. Microsoft offered a free upgrade to new devices that come with Windows 10. However, the OS will be available to other existing hardware that is eligible soon.

As said earlier your device might not be able to though running on Windows 10 and might not be able to upgrade to Windows 11. This is because for you to run Windows 11 your system must have Intel 8th Gen Coffee Lake or Zen 2 CPUs and up, TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) support, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. As a result of that many laptops or desktops will be unable to officially upgrade to Windows 11. If you want Windows 11, there are ways you can rig it to get it.

To get Windows 11 today is quite easy if you have a new device or laptop or PC that just shipped with Windows 10. If the device allows you to upgrade to Windows 11, just follow the simple steps below:
  1. Make a check to find out if your device is officially supported. You can check this via Microsoft's PC Health Check app.

  2. Make a backup of all your important documents, apps, and data.

  3. Proceed to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

  4. Check for updates. If your system is officially available for upgrade, you will see the option to download and install.

  5. Click download and install. You will see some prompts displayed on your screen; follow the prompts and configure Windows 11 settings.
However, if you didn't see the free Windows 11 upgrade, and your PC is supported, then you might have to wait until your system is enabled. However, you can check this page later for intelligent ways you can skip the line to upgrade to Windows 11.
