Trump aired a list of grievances in a post on Truth Social, questioning how the network handled the interview of Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) that aired on Sunday, and asked, "Why would I do the Debate against Kamala Harris on that network?"
The Sept. 10 debate was initially scheduled to feature President Joe Biden, who dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris.
Harris is expected this week to deliver on her promise to sit down for a televised interview. The Democratic candidate has faced criticism for not doing so since she launched her campaign. The debate will follow the high-stakes interview as Trump and Harris crisscross the nation to appeal to voters in battleground states. | | | Smith Appeals Special counsel Jack Smith on Aug. 26 appealed a Florida judge's decision dismissing the classified documents case against Trump. Smith argues that his appointment by the attorney general and the funding he receives are valid. Judge Aileen Cannon ruled in July that Smith's appointment ran afoul of the constitutional requirement for congressional approval in the appointment of officers and government funding. "The Attorney General validly appointed the Special Counsel, who is also properly funded," the special counsel said in a brief to the appellate court on Aug. 26. "In ruling otherwise, the district court deviated from binding Supreme Court precedent, misconstrued the statutes that authorized the Special Counsel's appointment, and took inadequate account of the longstanding history of Attorney General appointments of special counsels." Compared to the placebo, camu camu consumption led to a 15 percent reduction in liver fat in only 12 weeks, André Marette, a medical professor at Laval University in Quebec and the lead author of the study, told The Epoch Times in an interview. Camu camu is a berry native to South America, characterized by a deep red color when ripe and a tart flavor, and is about the size of a grape. Fatty liver disease currently affects more than a quarter of adults in the United States. The ailment begins with fat buildup in the liver, which can lead to liver scarring and other conditions. His emotive music has graced countless films, adding depth to memorable scenes like the romance in "Brief Encounter" and Phil Connors's transformative journey in "Groundhog Day."
Rachmaninoff's "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini," one of his most celebrated works, encapsulates both his technical brilliance and some of the darker undertones of his life. It's a piece that not only demands virtuosity, but also captures the complex, often melancholic spirit of its composer. Behind Rachmaninoff's popularity was a personal story of struggle, exile, and a longing for home.
The Soviet exile faced bans in his homeland and skepticism from his Western peers, but his music has endured. It resonates today as a testament to the power of artistry amid personal and cultural upheaval. | | | EPOCH BUY | | EPOCH TV | | | OPINION | | | | EPOCH FUN | | |
